What is Namecoin
Namecoin is a peer-to-peer generic name/value datastore system based on Bitcoin technology (a decentralized cryptocurrency). It allows you to:
Securely register and transfer arbitrary names, no possible censorship!
Attach values to the names (up to 1023 bytes)
Trade and transact namecoins, the digital currency NMC.

The 2nd and 3rd page of ARG thread(and many more posts after that), are almost exclusively about premine and purpose of it. Maybe you don't have much time to actually read the threads?

(links)

Ok, "hidden" removed from description.
Thank You for your support.

scrypt-jane is not a hashing algorithm

your comments behind YAC and ONC could be misleading (same hashing algorithm)

Thank You for ypur help.
I saw it used to describe YAC algo.

What would You like to see as a better name ? "modified Scrypt" ?

seems ok

done.

What does it take to move a coin up the chain?  I think Worldcoin is established. Should it not be in the minor category now?

I'll link to some of the posts and their position in the thread, how is the premine "hidden" unless people don't have eyes.

Well I got bored pretty fast, but if this is hidden, people must really be idiots to not read the first pages of a thread of a coin they are mining.

Brilliant list..

think i posted this before.. but what constitutes PPC coin to be listed amongst BTC/LTC/NMC as major?

- the only true alternative, all others are copy of BTC or PPC
- big market cap, big volume
- non stop active development , the best developer.
- poll made for community to decide if PPC should be in MAJOR.

anyway it is still at the bottom of MAJOR.
