But some problems, such as the lack of development, keep the price down.

I don't agree, the main issue which is hindering Litecoin is no marketing  whatsoever.
About 100 people post on twitter, facebook, Instagram wherever they are. But that is no marketing.

Many of the litecoin users like it that way.

Litecoin is one of my investments in 2017. I see it as a good coin. Litecoin has a smooth transaction speed. I once thought that Litecoin would be ranked #3 under BTC and ETH. But some problems, such as the lack of development, keep the price down.

I can't believe Litecoin is coming back. I am currently monitoring and I noticed a 41% drop in trading volume which means no steady increase in trading from Litecoin itself.

Litecoin is the one of the good project as like TRX,USDT.The litecoin had huge future,if you plan to buy the good coin for the longer profit. The litecoin will be the better option, because it’s old and long run project and coin price was stable one.So it’s expected one to reach the next pump in short period of time.Better option to inverse in litecoin before the next halves of 2024.The next bull run will occur in crypto currency in next year.

Yeah after long time i see Litecoin is showing big pumping and i am surprised to see that now it's top 9 position in the coinmarketcap data.
But do not think that Litecoin is able to outperform Bitcoin it is never possible, Bitcoin marketcap is 593 billion dollar vs Litecoin 8 billion dollar marketcap, you can see that a big difference both of coin.

It won't and it can't. We do all know that Litecoin is just a little brother to bitcoin and they are mold on the same code.

And maybe it also benefited from the recent rise in prices, as it soars to more than 14%, and perhaps there is a renewed interest from investors specially as they know how solid Litecoin is and so they continue to fill their bags and hoping for a big run in the next bull run.

So I'm not surprised though, I don't have Litecoin but I still see it as one solid coin that if newbies are going to invest, they should include this one.

Litecoin is one of the oldest and most reliable altcoins in the crypto space. It has proven its ability to survive and adapt to changing market conditions. However, it still faces stiff competition from Bitcoin, which has a much larger and more loyal user base. Litecoin is not dead, but it is not a threat to Bitcoin either.

litecoin will not be death nor will be outperformed bitcoin, it will stay side by side with bitcoin in this crypto world. just like good old days when the first time bitcoin going $1300 and litecoin goes to $41 at top. but yes i agree another altcoin is just another shit coin except the coin with real use case like combo for gaming. litecoin, monero and dash will stay forever mate
Litecoin is not shit coin and Its used for transaction. most people like it for low fee and you can buy many services by paying through ltc.  All time high of LTC is 400$ and if see the current price, its 4 time lower. Litecoin halving could once again again reach LTC price to ATH. In my view current time is worthy to hold some Litecoin.
Having some people attack a good thing is in the nature of the world we live in right now. Obviously it is not a shitcoin and obviously it is a great project that helped a lot of people profit. Think about it, we are talking about making a profit that is huge sized, it is making profit since 2011 if I am not mistaken, and it is still near the top 10 as well.

How could something that is this good ever be a shitcoin, it is impossible. But at the same time, if it wasn't getting attacked then I am sorry but that would show how terrible it is. Think about all the sports greats and business greats, people attack lebron, ronaldo, messi, amazon, apple and so much more, that just something that comes with being a great thing at whatever you are about.

Well I think the bulls are getting ready for this LTC halving. The previous all time hashrate of 800 terahashes/second was just passed on Wednesday.

The new all time high LTC hashrate is 958.36 Th/s. This is bullish news for LTC halving in 34 days from now.

Technically Litecoin is much more advanced than Bitcoin.

Its faster transfer speed is unparalleled in the decentral coin scene. Peck that to a very favourable transfer price.
Oh, that's a topic we could discuss for months Wink

The higher "transaction speed" (smaller block time, more precisely) has also disadvantages (more orphan blocks). But I read that Litecoin's "speed" with current Internet bandwidth/latency is doing well (some years ago already, so I don't remember the link), and we have to take into account that ETH had a much shorter block time even when it was still running with PoW. In 2009 however, Bitcoin's values were more reasonable.

You could also mention MWEB of course as an "more advanced" feature.

But one does not have to forget where most of the other innovations Litecoin has adopted came from: Bitcoin. I think "on its own" it unlikely that the Litecoin devs were to develop Segwit and Taproot, and many more innovations.

Basically I consider the differences the result of design decisions based on the stability/feature richness equation. Litecoin can be a bit more cutting edge and experimental with features like MimbleWimble, where a more thorough testing/discussion would be needed for BTC.

Bitcoin is superior to Litecoin.

I beg to differ:
Technically Litecoin is much more advanced than Bitcoin.

Its faster transfer speed is unparalleled in the decentral coin scene. Peck that to a very favourable transfer price.

ltc may have its advantages over btc. however, when it comes to popularity, we can't deny the fact that btc is still on top. for me, why not use both and take advantage of what they offer? ltc is one of the oldest alts and still being use today owed to its cheap tx fees and its availability. but people are more into btc when it comes to investment. so it is up to us how we will use these 2 currencies to our own advantage.
people can dig deep when it comes to technicalities but at the end of the day, people care most is if they can save money and earn profits from it. so whichever, you think is best with your situation, you can use them both at your own discretion.

After all Altcoins were troubled recently, Litecoin is gaining more confidence again.

is Litecoin dead in your opinion?
Litecoin has now demonstrated to her investor for a month that it is not a dead coin but rather a lucrative coin. The fact that the price of Litecoin has increased significantly indicates that it is still active. However, it cannot be used to make pricing or other comparisons to bitcoin. In every way, Bitcoin is superior to Litecoin.

But can Litecoin outperform Bitcoin
What specific area may Litecoin outperform Bitcoin in? Is it based on cost, market dominance, or ranking?

Litecoin is currently trading at $88 while bitcoin is ranging beyond $30,000. The all-time high (ATH) of Litecoin was $412 during the previous bull run, and it currently holds the eleventh position on the CMC with a market dominance of 0.54%. Contrarily, bitcoin is the king of all cryptocurrency projects with an ATH of $68k, a market dominance of 50%, and. I don't see any alternative coins, let alone Litecoin, taking that position from her.

Seems not to be so much of a problem. See Johoe's stats site: the NFT craze in the second week of June only led to a minuscule increase in fees, and with the lowest possible fee (which is much lower than 0.1 USD cent) you always got your transaction through in a few hours.

Take into account that the "capacity" of LTC is higher than Bitcoin's. There's the same 4 vMB limit (see the code here in consensus.h) as for Bitcoin for every block - but blocks are deployed each 2.5 minutes. So the capacity of LTC is four times Bitcoin's.

Of course if the NFT fad was extended in time, the bloat could have led to a heavier blockchain, making running full LTC nodes more expensive. But the current NFT craze was a quite short-lived craze (a couple of months) and impacted BTC more than LTC.

So I'm quite neutral on this - I'm against NFTs on BTC, but on LTC they can have their niche.

Yes, I'm aware of that. But even though LTC has greater transaction capacity, it could still get clogged in the future if the NFT hype persists. I think I can live with NFTs on LTC, as long as they all move away from Bitcoin. The community will utimately decide if it wants to keep NFTs on the BTC blockchain or approve developers' proposal to block Ordinals inscriptions for good. No matter where NFTs are deployed, we can't deny the fact that ETH is and will always be the #1 platform for these kinds of tokens.

LTC is doing good for now, so don't expect it to disappear anytime soon. With Litecoin's block reward halving right around the corner (August 2, 2023), we should expect market prices to "pump" albeit for a short period of time. Just my opinion Smiley

In my opinion, nothing beats bitcoin, especially litecoin. Yes, Litecoin wins on transactions that are 4 times faster due to the reduced block generation time, but it is also quite risky.

all altcoins troubled ? please explain what the problem is?
if all altcoins are troubled of course the same thing will happen to litecoin because litecoin is part of altcoins.
and one more thing, I'm sure there will never be an altcoin that will beat bitcoin.

All are never ever troubled.
There are 25 000 Altcoins or even more.
So the ones which haven't done their homework have problems. Could be a few 1000s.

The Litecoin halving is less than a month away if you haven't bought Litecoin from now then you can I'm sure you will regret it,
Litecoin current price is still at the $80 level and if $100 breaks then Litecoin will go to the moon easily.
because the strongest resistance from litecoin is $ 100 and support from litecoin is at $ 70,
if the price of litecoin drops to $ 70 then you certainly have to be careful.
