hahaha!

Looks like things might be back to normal suchpool with the biggest extraction rate

The thread you're pointing too, shows a an example of a pool being abused by fake shares, which is, again, completely irrelevant with regards to network security and block rewards for just everyone (except those on the abused pool). The coin in question eventually forked for reasons again completely unrelated to your claims here. This adds absolutely nothing to what has already been expressed.

You continue to not take the time to read the explanations that you're offered, and you have not added any question or argument of value.
Sorry, but I'm done here. You are not being ignored, but I will certainly not feed this discussion any further!

luqash3 was faking shares AND FINDING BLOCKS.

Ignore these facts again and you'll win a super secret prize. Wink

Nope. We're saying that Luqash3 was one one of the few lingering people at that pool that wasn't faking hash, that it was a time when difficulty was extremely low and the coin was dying, and he was only managing to solve a block every 1-3 hours on a 30 second coin.

from what the dev quoted it sounded like they would stop mining it if it was hurtting the network

You may well be right. The important thing is that they've stopped mining us for now.

They are still extracting 42% of the blocks.

42% of the last 100 blocks. It should gradually go down as new blocks get mined. Will have to keep an eye on it though.

Edit: Just went over to TMB. You're right, they are still mining it, just with less hash. *shrug*

looool look at this guy's posts

I'm seeing some similarities with many of the X11 coins.

HIRO, LGC and HASH have been flash/instamined. Plz check their respective threads and blockexplorers..

Is X11 a scamcult ? lol..

Have you read the OP page ?
Is HIRO change market cap from 84 M -> 22 M?
Is HIRO change block reward from 500 -> 50 ?
lol ...

Where did you see that ?

HIRO's reward has always been 400.

This will become just as much of a disservice to HIRO as it will be for the coins/ ALTS, dumped by the pool. Many/most do not think favourably of multi pools. HIRO's image will suffer because of that.

You forgot to mention how you will achieve the 30% if the price increases.

Remember peeps... if its too good to be true..  Wink

wow, ok, so your point of view is plainly clear, you obviously have an agenda. either that or you're clinically retarded.

since when does a multipool which buys that one coin not act favorably towards the coin, are you even sure what you're talking about?

I was in on the very genesis of the development of the first multipool for Blackcoin, i was in IRC when Radiostatic had his meltdown and gave the reigns to Legion development. I helped gnu_user test the database of the new multipool one late night after another. and do you remember how "favorably" that affected BC's price? going from 500 satoshis to 30,000, peaking at around 90,000.

so do us all a favor and stop spreading FUD. or do your homework and learn what it is that you're actually talking about.

and by the way, has anyone seen the increased activity today on the trading price on mintpal? it's broken 400 sat and looks to keep on climbing. take a peek at those buy orders stacking up. about to be a fun time for the real #1 x11 coin. (which doesn't have any darksend BS feature that will only backfire when it gets banned from all major exchanges)

Hm, why the rage and the tone, chill out man.
If a coin rises a few ticks on 3 BTC total turnover its not really a reason to cheer. Look where its at today.
This whole multipool crap is a rather desperate attempt, the effect is marginal.

And now bark again.

MEEEfreakinOOOW THIS COIN WAS INSTAMINED ! Grin

Take a look at here http://explorer.darkcoin.io/chain/DarkCoin?count=10&hi=10
You will see Value Out = 500 DARK

Is HIRO change market cap from 84 M -> 22 M? It is happening with Darkcoin
Is HIRO change block reward from 500 -> 50 ?  It is happening with Darkcoin

The HIRO dev claims that for ethical reasons, he will not change the reward structure or the coin supply. I'll post the quote when I find it.

DRK is disgusting and will get very ugly if/when the miners/investors wise up.

I am getting the distinct impression that most if not all of these x11 coins are coming from the same person or group.

That link just reminds me of what talesfromthescrypt looked like after everyone abandoned it. Just a few lingering cpu miners solving all the blocks while others faked hashrates and scooped up whatever rewards they happened to find. It was kind of sad really.

I noticed that when the difficulty is low, around 15-20, the blocks are usually solved by one pool in quick succession, is it because the new block has not been broadcasted fast enough to whole network, the pool solved the last block get the new block earlier than other miners?

Is this particular to the fast block coins?

BOTH the pool AND the network are using the same daemon. This means both will be fooled by these exploits because the daemon is accepting the pool's hashrate which was calculated using the bloated sharerate figures.

fake hash vulnerability #1938
https://github.com/MPOS/php-mpos/issues/1938
Quote
With this method, all pools accepts fake hashrate and shares.

Wrong again.

The pools are processing shares of various difficulties. In contrast, the "network" only accepts full "blocks" at the proper network difficulty at any given time. There are no fake shares submitted to the network...

See, an abuser can submit all the fake shares he wants. The buggy pool will take them - BUT - unless the pool eventually finds a valid block, there is 0 reward. When the buggy pool does find a block, the block reward is perfectly valid, what is messed up (due to the abuse), is the share distribution of that block to the buggy pool miners. The network is completely unaffected. The victims, are the legitimate miners on the buggy pool, which are not getting their share of blocks found by the pool.

Please... Stop posting for a while, go take a read, a break, a smoke, then have another think about your claims. You have received well beyond any reasonable explanations to your concerns, and you do not appear to be taking a breath's moment to think about what is being explained.

Trade My Bit got 8.94GH/s on us. Our usual mining hash is only 1.67GH/s.

Without 5limi the "usual" mining hashrate was probably below 1GH/s, as 5limi was about 50%.

This is consistent with the ratio of blocks claimed by tmb, which peaks at 90% (if tmb has 9 GH/s and the rest has less than 1 GH/s, then tmb logically gets 90% of the blocks)
http://chainz.cryptoid.info/lgc/extraction.dws?11.htm

Anyone could get in touch with 5limi admins?

The ratio of Trade My Bit to the total network rate is 84.2% if we use the 8.94 and 1.67 as reported on their website. They are getting 90% of the total blocks as they are just mining the low difficulty blocks from LGC. When we are mining high difficulty blocks, they are mining other coins.

Would a multipool have more profit than a nonswitching pool?

We seem to be having a much better experience now that they have adjusted their reward  Smiley
