Spectrecoin (XSPEC) is my long term HODL - it's potential is so much more than it's current price suggests. Yes, I'm disappointed that it has risen as much as other alts over the past weeks, but there are big releases coming in v2.0 (default stealth addresses, ring signatures). You can find more out about developments and speak to the devs and the rest of the community over at Slack (and to a less extent on Telegram). Would advise many to use the opportunity to at least get a few xspec at this low price and back a coin that truly defines what privacy and access should be.

I would stick with coins that hold at least 0.5-1% market cap. Then do your research on a coin that you think will be needed in the future. Think of liquidity, technology and popularity.

The main things with the project - is that they have professional cryptographers in a team with 10+ years of experience. Blockchain was just a trigger that was calling for it

In my view, I don't think that SIA, XVG and ADEX are suitable for the long-term investment. Their prices have a big fluctuation, so, you should trade them in short-term.
I love these kind of reviews in our forums. SO.. I wanna write my own coins: Ethereum as its the best altcoin ever and it will always be. There will always be demand for it.

I also put etherium in first stage after bitcoin. I believe with sleep power of etherium.
Second is waves. Waves is exist platform and slowly growing up. In future is very good.

That's because the price of a cryptocurrency can go up and down all the time. We can not predict and can only hope for the best. For long-term investment, I like some cryptocurrency as follows: Bitcoin, Litecoin, Ethereum, and some other cryptocurrency. The most certain is Bitcoin because Bitcoin is the best and have the most promising price.

IOTA for sure, BTC, XMR, ETH, ETC maybe, LTC maybe and some more like PAY from TenX, ZEC, NEO! and much much more, but be careful nobody knows where markets go 
For a safe bet, BTC, LTC, ETH (all basically guaranteed to rise, and BTC/LTC being very very safe bets in the crypto world)
For a riskier bet, AntShares(now Neo).

As I have recently just joined the world of Cryptos around 1st August but I am doing only investment based on long term HODL currently my portfolio consist of NEO, OMG, XRP, SIA, XVG & ADEX

But in terms of Altcoin its better to stick with the ethereum.

I invest long term with DGB, XVG, STRAT and BCS. These are the altcoin I have watched for so long, these altcoin are all good coin with many outstanding features. The community is very interested in it because the dev team has a very professional strategy.
