Now we see the birth of a new trend - IEO.  You can consider Huobi Token, as an option. Perhaps HT will repeat the success of Binance Coin

In any crypto portfolio must be present top coins such as Bitcoin, Ethereum, Ripple. The second part can be invested in promising platforms: Stellar, NEO, NEM. And the third part to invest in some kind of ultra trendy and promising newcomers: Adamant and Sound Money Coin.

Hi,
I've got a small bit of money to invest with. I trade these days. But it'd give me peace of mind knowing I'm also holding a bit.

I'm thinking of going with Ethereum. maybe 50% ETH / 50% BTC
Are there any of the top10 altcoins that are currently a better buy than ETH?

There is. There are 10 top altcoins that have better potential than ETH, including BCH and MKR. the two altcoins have much more expensive prices than ETH. even the price movements in the market are very significant. this is in my opinion.

It looks like litecoin is definitely out of the picture for now. They are already high compared to all others so I do not think you should invest to it right now, it should be something that hasn't increased for a while.

I still prefer Eos and Ethereum because ethereum and dapp community will be amazing one day, like not today maybe and maybe not in couple months but think about it, dapps have soooo much potential and it can become something huge in the world and that means ethereum will increase in price as well.

They have many more things going for them as well but ethereum is just the first thing that came to my mind when I thought about huge potentials in couple years. It is not that expensive today but it will certainly be above 1000 for sure in coming years thanks to its utility.

Investing on long term for Bitcoin and/or Ethereum is really good. But if you are looking for other altcoins to invest upon, I would recommend these: Ripple (XRP), Litecoin (LTC), EOS (EOS), Stellar (XLM), TRON (TRX), Waves (WAVES).

Good advice. You have offered really excellent stable options. True, there are a few more projects to add. Well, in general, investing in stable projects has always been profitable.

I think investment in bitcoin is also good and suitable to be made in the long run. because price growth is also relatively stable. so you're also not worried about the future of bitcoin.

Of course, BTC is the basis and you should better hold at least30% of funds in it, ETH now has several risks and IMHO the portion of it in a portfolio should reduce to 15%

There are many coins that have recently made their presence in the market with very much impressive performance. Some of them are ripple, tron, binance coin, Ox, crypto.com chain, cardano. Lately, I am particularly interested in WeAreSatoshi. WeAreAatoshi was established in 2014, but has got recently its new team and revived with good impression. It is launching very impressive attractions. You can opt for it.

for your higher investment you can choose the i-th definitely but Bitcoin also being in a good state so trusting only Bitcoin is also not a right decision so spitting the investment will give more profit in the future

Well you chose the two top coins and IMO its a good choice already since both coins are good for long term hodling. If its me I also choose btc and eth, nowadays its better to invest in well-established coin rather than in a random altcoins without assurance if it can give you profit.

I also have IOST in my crypto-portfolio, been hodling it for almost a year now. Check this coin because it is promising and has a consistent progress, this is the time to buy since the price is still cheap. Nevertheless dont forget to conduct a research before investing in a particular coin.

I believe that the long-term prospect of Ethereum is very good, so it is definitely a very good choice for investment. But it would be good for you if you add a few more such as Cardano, Neo, Ripple.

Eth is great for holding. if want you also some BNB. in my opinion it will be a great token in future. biggest crypto exchange Binance lunched this token. Some experts also thought it will going to 100$ next year.

If i can choose in your place i will choose 50% BTC 25% ETH and 25% in another coin. But is your money and your choice and you can try another option, good luck and wait for a grow.
It's a good thing to place some amounts in bitcoin and any other major coin but that will not give you a lot of profit. just try to make it being equal with altcoin portfolios. that will make it even better to take advantage from the volatility of the market.
dont focus on profits only, we have to think about the risk from our investment.bitcoin and altcoin could give us same profits if we know how to trade it.but most of investors give bigger allocation on bitcoin due to this is major coin in crypto market.

BTC has more potential than ETH, so I think holding maybe 70% BTC as against 30% ETH is a good one. Then for other altcoins, I always like Stellar (XLM) and ADA, you can check them out too.

In my own opinion going for more of BTC is a good call, then you can still hold some ETH. Also, since you want to invest in other altcoins, I think XLM is a good call, as the project keeps showing good signs of serious and efficient team.
of course the coin you call it has good potential for investment but I am more interested in ethereum, ethereum prices are very stable and it is difficult to go far down, so it is difficult to loss, investing in ethereum
