Investing into altcoins were good for long term profiting, but those weren't assured. With bitcoin the scenario is different, the growth in long term is promised. Once after investing into altcoins user needs to learn about the trading process which assures with the earning often making the portfolio so stronger. Altcoins in the top will be the best for investing by now.

I think you can choose from the top 10-20 of the marketcap and select the low price coin only if you have limited money. There is many low coins price you can invest, and I guess you can choose at least 3 coins for a low price. TRX, ADA, Enjin, 0x, is the sample of the low coins price and you can found many more coins.

I believe INSURANCE token will be the best in the LONG RUN.

Insurance token is next revolution in cryptocurrency that is developed  by best in class insurance protocol and tested in cryptocurrencies that  can be used to claim loss of crypto assets.

INZURA an ERC20 token which will be used as insurance token to protect your crypto asset and claim lost cryptocurrencies.

Hi,
I've got a small bit of money to invest with. I trade these days. But it'd give me peace of mind knowing I'm also holding a bit.

I'm thinking of going with Ethereum. maybe 50% ETH / 50% BTC
Are there any of the top10 altcoins that are currently a better buy than ETH?
For me, i think there are no better altcoins compared to ETH at least at this moment, but it doesn't means that the altcoins other than ETH is not worthy of investing. Other than ETH i'm also has several other coins from the top 10, for example i also has several XLM coins.

You already have a good plan. That would be the best way to go for your portfolio. Bitcoin is of course the safest and the most trusted of all cryptocurrencies. Ethereum on the other hand is the second in rank, the top of course as far as alternate cryptocurrencies or alts are concerned. You just have to be patient regarding their growth. It might take a longer term for your investment to actually bear fruit. You may want and achieve a quicker profit with those altcoins in the lower rank. But then if you are not familiar enough with trading or with choosing which is safe and profitable, you better be choosing the top ones.

of course there are some tokens that currently better than ETH on this moment but probably its not worth it to invest because of the current price IMO. which is probably not good as well to run for long term unlike ETH and bitcoin. because nowadays despite of the situation moslty expert on trading always  prefer to gain quick profits on that kind of alt which just to bring back their losses. So it will fluctuate time on time IMO and you can gain only also if you day trade with it not for long run.

Eos and neo two coins are worthy of being calculated apart from ethereum and bitcoin which have good potential, eos and neo are developing very well, there's no harm in trying to invest in both coins

Eos and Litecoin are two coins that should be in the portfolio of investors this year as we are heading to the bull run, these two coins will make a good profit for holders, forget about the new coins or ICO there's probability these will end up as shitcoins.

Well if you aim for a short-term, I suggest you to take a look at Huobi Token (HT), the price is kinda fluctuative but you are able to achieved some profit if you know when to buy and sell. This is because Huobi will be open their first IEO called Huobi Prime (actually it's DPO, Direct Premium Offering)

Are there other projects as good as BTC and ETH for this type of investment? If so, who has the greatest chance and room for growth? After analyzing these situations, you will surely know what the best decision is. Avoid asking people's opinion about your investments or deals. Many of these people are interested in pushing their Altcoins bags. In this situation, I would choose to go 100% on BTC.

There is nothing better than BTS and ETH, but you can also pay attention to the tokens of various exchanges from the top 20 list. They are bound to increase in price in the coming months.

The safest option is a 50/50 split between bitcoin and ethereum but that is not the most profitable. Look at the stats on coinmarketcap and you will see that tezos has pumped continuously, far more than both btc/eth

there are many choices besides ethereum and bitcoin. examples such as Binance tokens (BNB), purdi x (NPXS), Cardano (ADA) and many more.

but I suggest buying BNB, you know since the beginning of last month I saw this coin increase sharply, starting from the price going up and the marketcap also increasing. now this coin is ranked 7th in the altcoin top. it will be very profitable if you buy it now, what else is successful binance becomes the exchange that organizes the IEO.

I have same dilema, if it is better to invest into many good looking altcoins while they are cheap or invest as much as possible into Bitcoin while it is cheap.
Really altcoins have the future?  Cool

You should look at the altcoin which has more growth percentage in the recent days when compared to ethereum. But no one can actually say which coin will be better for hold so just buy the best coin.

I recommend distributing your investments as follows:
25% to invest in BTC,
25% to invest in ETH,
25% in coins in 3 different coins from the top 100 CoinMarketcap.
25% in brand new coins that have recently appeared on the market and which have unique concepts, for example: TERA Smart Money, Elexxir, Sound Money Coin.

I can't answer you exactly. But, personally, I'm holding eth, btc, trx, bts, and eos at this moment. This portfolio is for the long term because in the short term I don't receive much money.

BNB can be a good choice. This coin might be a little better, compared to all the altcoins that are now. stable prices and slowly rising makes me sure that the BNB will enter into the top 10 highest altcoins. maybe I invest a little, it's better than betting on altcoins that don't have clarity
