Yes reality is totally different because even the iron shows shiny look when new but it gets rusted on passage of time.

That spark is not everlasting. When the child grows up he has to tackle a large number of problems around him so he forgets his real dream

The only problem is your expectations. Our world is well-balanced and developing. If you expectation differ from childish one it is a normal part of becoming an adult thats all. Wink Smiley

I do not agree with your ideas which you have expressed above. Our expectations do not make people lose their motivation. On the other hand, A dream which cannot come true makes people feel unmotivated in life for sure.

If you see a little child you can see the spark in their eyes. As we grow we keep loosing that spark. Life gets harder and keeps sucking the motivation out of us. I think motivation is the most precious thing in life and we loose it so easily without even being fully aware of it. As I grew up the most difficult thing I've faced is to keep myself motivated. The dreams we dream don't just come true. Our reality is totally different from our dreams.

As they say, a heart of a child is bigger than their adult version. Being innocent of the world and being motivated to do big things while still young, these are the thinking of a child in all of us that was once full of life. Growing up, we were faced with truth and reality that not all of us lives in a fairy tale adventure like in the books. Life will kick us consecutively and we'll lose our motivation, but let's remember that inner child and that motivation to keep moving forward.

The life of a child is different then the one of a grown up man, but still for a better motivation you have to do it like in gym, just finished the exercise and nothing else matters.

I have faced this issue a few time. But I was able to cope with it, through various means. Sometimes, I attended motivational speeches and believe it or not, they helped a lot. Sometimes, it was my friends who helped me in regaining motivation. But I would say that it is not very easy to regain motivation. You need to work really hard.

Losing motivation because someone doesn't have a principle and easy to follow the talk of others, I think you must have spirit and life goes on.

Looking for what a person lives. For what. What are his ideals and values. This largely determines the inner state of a person. Including motivation.

Honestly, I am not surprised about the lack of motivation. In particular given how meaningless many jobs are, how many issues we face as a society that are left unadressed, politicians who never live up to promises, it's really no surprise people lack motivation in our day and age.

Yes, motivation is difficult to sustain. I think that is the case mostly because technology and society has conditioned us to be addicted to immediate returns. We need to change our mindset, practice more mindfulness, become more aware and grateful for life and all its opportunities, and take moments in our day to stop and reflect.

Also, if we woyld only learn to really pursue what we are passionate of, then I think that motivation will never be an issue if you love what you are doing.
