I honestly whenever I look at people buying lottery tickets I wonder how they can consider buying a lottery ticket as fun? So I'm back to wondering what part of all this is fun? I honestly don't see anything fun about it

This is not entirely correct. I agree that in general it is more entertaining to play casino games or other types of games than to buy lottery tickets. But the fun in it is in imagining that you win and thinking about what you would do with the money if you did.
