I posted this same post in german forum, what do you guys think on the english side?

I have a bunch of old S9's laying around, some work, some are in pieces with broken parts, etc.  I'm working on making some custom miners.  I have a bitaxe on the way (backordered, ordered it like 3-4 weeks ago), I like how that is 400G+ for only 20ish watts.  I'm testing out the efficiency I can get with 1, 2, and 3 hashboards and varying amounts of power to each one (i'm using braiin os).  Do you guys think I should just try to make one that uses the least amount of power but isn't the most efficient, or uses a little bit more power and work on getting the most th's/watt?

yea that's what I do, but i've been renting some miners from mrr (i like it better then nicehash) and some of the very large ones say they require 5M difficulty or they will not work.  I've rented small ones and medium ones on mrr and used both but sometimes the numbers kind of fall right in between the difficulties.

Hi Willi, do you know what the difficulty is for the two ports?  port 3333 and port 4334?   does port 4334 seem to go from 156k-936k?  Can you use a password like d=5000000 to get higher difficulty if you were going to rent more hashpower?  I tried searching on solockpool and I can't find any numbers, except 3333 is minimum 10,000.
i don't know the numbers, but for a low speed miner please use the port 3333 and if that not works (mostly with big nicehash rentals) than use the other port.

https://solo.ckpool.org/

Configuration:
Just point your miner to:
solo.ckpool.org:3333
Miners that require a high diff, such as mining rentals, there is a special high diff port for them:
solo.ckpool.org:4334

Willi,
Thank you for the very clear response...If I took my miner down to clean the fans or the power went out for a few hours, ... I am OK as long as my 7D hashrate didn't fall below 200gh/s right? or is it the 24h rate? 5 Minute?
Gholly
A short outage should no problem, we use the 7day value.
Can you please short the name a little, that is really long —> Gholly_3-TEST_T15_COOKED_HASHBOARD to Gholly_3

Many thanks

added another for me, one of my s9's i'm using for heat.  I have another one i'm going to add maybe tomorrow.

we gotta get more action on this post, I keep having to copy/paste the german into google translate from other post.  Smiley
Try to translate directly on you browser with the right click / translate. It works very well on chrome and Microsoft browser, so you did not need copy and paste to read only some text.

Alrighty sending the hashrate of 3 x Compaq F's your way!  Wink

Username: Sledge0001_PI1
Device type: 3 x Compaq F's
Normal speed: 1.1-1.3 TH/s

Hey Sledge0001, welcome my friend  Grin
Hope you bring us a big luck in our round. Are these usb miner, the miner from the past, from the lucky block you have found?

Welcome and if here are not so much traffic on the englisch topic, you can also write in the German one…

PS: if you have some pictures from your miner, please share that with us...

Best regards,
Willi

I will also snap some pics tomorrow and hope I can bring some good luck to the run

There is one of the sticks that was part of rig that hit the block from a year or so ago.

As mentioned above I am building a 2nd PI setup tonight and tomorrow morning (stealing one of the Compaq F's from PI1 ) and adding 4(possibly 5 New Pacs) to what will be PI2

Which should end up with:

Username: Sledge0001_PI1
Device type: 2 x Compaq F's
Normal speed: 775GH/s

Username: Sledge0001_PI2
Device type: 1 x Compaq F's  & 4 x NewPacs
Normal speed: 400GH/s  - 440GH/s Huh Well see tomorrow.

Best,
Chas

here a excample

we have 29 miner devices and some are new or have technical problems or to short with us, ...
7 of the 29 miner are not in the 7 day hashrate over 200g, so we have 22 miner for payout if we have a block.
so please keep your miner allways running and do not switch very often to other pools, we would have a constant hashing power
if you have more small miner it is better for you, for the reward, to configure each miner separately with a running number on the end.

if the block have in total 8,5 BTC (6,25 reward plus the rest of tx fees)

10% (0,85 BTC) goes to the block finder as a bonus
rest of 7,65 divided by 22 shares gives 0,347727273 BTC per device

if you have only one miner in the list you will get 1/22 ~ 0,347727273 BTC
if you have only two miner in the list you will get 2/22 ~ 0,695454545 BTC
...

Hope now it is more transparent and i have no error in my calculation

Willi

Willi,
you posted
"- The user who found the block gets 10% extra
- The remaining 90% will be divided by the number of miners (devices / lines) from our table"

>just to be clear 10% of the block reward .... not just 10% of the standard per line award correct?
so if the block reward is the normal 6.25 BTC the Extra is .625 BTC and the remaining block reward is than divided equally between all miners , for each miner listed and qualified... i.e. if 25 miner qualified the remaining 5.625BTC would be split 25 ways for .225 BTC each... am I correct?

... hopefully right forum
