Thanks, maybe 2024 will be our lucky year!  have you done any block parties lately?
I run the Blockparty runs every one / two weeks. The last was done yesterday and we start organizing the next one this or latest beginning next week.

I can post the link here or have a look at the cksolo pool topic.

UPDATE: here is the next Blockparty number 57 https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.63523593

Best regards,
Willi

Did you user the s9 as a heater for your home?

Have sean that kind of heater some times, but the power cost in germany is terrable for that, cant do it.

Hi Willi, you can update kkmonte_4, kkmonte_5, and kkmonte_6 to be S9 miners.  They are running one hashboard so output 1.11 th/s.  I did a bunch of power tests, playing with voltage and mhz of the board to determine the most efficient and cheapest miner for solo mining using my old s9's that I had.  The past 4 winters, I used them to help heat my house, I had them set up around my basement (which is insulated and sealed well) and they made the basement 70 deg F in the winter, which then, the heat made its way up into the main floor.  I ended up saving about 400 gallons of heating oil, which is about $1200-$1300 USD in oil, a small savings with using electric for miners but I was earning btc.

As you said, for this solo pool miner, it's best to use least amount of electricity, and sacrifice some hashrate since our odds are basically the same whether my miner is running at 1100 gh/s or 3300 gh/s, odds are more or less the same.

Thanks, maybe 2024 will be our lucky year!  have you done any block parties lately?

PI1 is now down to a single Compac F (1 of the 2 is now showing 0 chips...)
P12 has 1 Compac F and 4 2PAC's (I had mislabeled them as new pacs)

You can use all. Important is the result Statistik from the Solo Pool.

Best regards,
Willi
I ask this because of following:

The setup is really interesting. When I read it, I instinctively optimised it in my mind. To get maximised result:

A miner should mine in your setup as long as to keep 7 day avarage higher than 200 GH/s. Anyone who higher than 200 GH/s for 7 days, basically gifting its hash power for others.

I would like to able to write a script that keeps my miner 201-202 GH/s 7 days average, and mine solo its own in other idle times.

Algorithm could work in one hour intervals.

Code:
10. Mine for shared for one hour.
20. Are you eligiable for reward? If yes goto 30, else goto 10.
30. Mine solo for one hour.
40. Goto 20.

In case of a block found
After a small survey, we have decided on the following distribution of rewards in the case of a block found.

- The user who found the block gets 10% extra
- The remaining 90% will be divided by the number of miners (devices / lines) from our table

Basic requirement for payment:
- the miner has been active for the last 7 days (you can see this in the CKpool statistics)
- Miner must contain the forum member name
- Minimum hashrate per miner of 200 GHs in 7 days
And what happens if a recently joined worker (less than 7 days) finds a block? Is it still eligible to get 10% extra or not?
Yes if the miner are not in 7 days over 200 GHs but find a block, the 10% Bonus is save.
Thanks for the Question!

Update: i update the rules on page one, to make that clear.

Best regards,
Willi
Another question then. Smiley

Is it possible to use 1.4 TH/s device one day in a week or 33 TH/s device one hour in a week? This would make 7 days avg. as 200 GH/s.

I posted this same post in german forum, what do you guys think on the english side?

I have a bunch of old S9's laying around, some work, some are in pieces with broken parts, etc.  I'm working on making some custom miners.  I have a bitaxe on the way (backordered, ordered it like 3-4 weeks ago), I like how that is 400G+ for only 20ish watts.  I'm testing out the efficiency I can get with 1, 2, and 3 hashboards and varying amounts of power to each one (i'm using braiin os).  Do you guys think I should just try to make one that uses the least amount of power but isn't the most efficient, or uses a little bit more power and work on getting the most th's/watt?

yea that's what I do, but i've been renting some miners from mrr (i like it better then nicehash) and some of the very large ones say they require 5M difficulty or they will not work.  I've rented small ones and medium ones on mrr and used both but sometimes the numbers kind of fall right in between the difficulties.
