More seriously though, people are lucky that was a Cybertruck and not any other car. The windows of the hotel didn’t even break. It could have been a lot worse if those steel plates didn’t shield the explosion.

Here’s a picture showing the latest additions. The new wheel covers and running boards. It was overcast out so it looks more purple than red in the pic. One thing I will say is that after using full self driving for more than 1,000 miles now, it is clearly the future. Everyone will license full self driving in the next couple years. While the new pics are nice, it's hard to beat the one from the shop. Somebody was either lucky, either is very good at using the light for best shot.
However, the movie is interesting: it shows very good how the shades change depending on the light and angle. Very interesting!

I wouldn’t call it aggressive. Just not smooth with acceleration off 0 and coming to a stop. Like driving with a 15 year old who hasn’t learned how to drive without being jerky yet. Turning too tight usually involves nearly cutting someone off coming the other way in neighborhoods or having to make quick corrections around curbs at the end of a turn. It’ll get better and it is good enough to use now, but I’d say it has a ways to go before it’s as butter smooth as your boy behind the wheel.

I havent had the chance to ride in one of those self-driving cars yet, but I gotta admit, that definitely makes me a little jealous. Just sitting back and letting the car do all the driving for you seems pretty nice.

But seriously - youre complaining that the self-driving cars drive too aggressive? That cracked me up. I figured it would be the total opposite, you know? That the robot drivers would be super cautious and slow or something compared to human drivers. But I guess maybe theres different settings you can choose for how assertive you want the autopilot to be.

Either way Id love to take one for a spin someday and see what its like, aggressive or not.

I’m sure there are people on this forum who have been using full self driving in their teslas for years already now, but for me I’ve had my first experience this week and I must say it is a definite game changer. It makes driving around pleasurable instead of a task. My only complaint so far is that it takes turns a little tight and doesn’t accelerate/brake as smoothly as I do when driving. The future is here though!

It's simply a gorgeous beast!

Here’s a pic I got from the shop. It’s home safe now and looking great. Really customized inside and out. I’m happy with the color and how it changes from black to purple to red to orange based on the light. Gives it a real unique feeling and look. I’ll miss the stainless steel look, but I won’t miss the fingerprints. Wrapping is a must.

Got old girl in the shop getting some more tint work done. Windshield, back window, moon roof, light bar, headlights, turn signals, brake lights (“murdered out” if you will)… Also getting it wrapped. I went with Obsidian Red.

Ouch! I didn't know this and it makes me sad.
It's not that I'd buy one (way over my budget for car, now an in the foreseeable future), but I really hoped to see one for real.
