Reckless driving and machine problems ,
I think this are the main cause of accidents in the road .
Those who are driving carelessly and those who didn't check or take care of their cars.

If on the road i will say is reckless driver and pesdestrians. When the driver take the test for a driving license they will adhere to the rules & regulation on the road  and once they pass their test and on the road they will drive in another way. Pedestrians cross the road without looking out for the traffic.
Drink driving is another big concern for road accident.

Some causes of road accident in different places is over speeding maybe because the driver over drunk or under using drugs.
Using gadget while driving like talking in the phone,playing loud music inside the car.
Drivers must be focus while driving,using signal light when you turn left and right and follow the traffic signal.
Every drivers need to be agressive to prevent road accident.

Not following road basic safety precaution  is the basic reason of car accidents, 

Like: Coffee while driving, eating burgers while driving, holding phones while driving, a sudden event can just happen for a moment like when you meet car with a lose break then how can you fully avoid it when your one hand is on the car control and your other hand is with your coffee?

Second is listening to a loud music while driving into unfamiliar road then suddenly someone about at you that the road is off limit since live wire or soil corrosion is happening then you amid not here their warning and you continue driving with your load speaker on with a maximum speed?

Drunk while driving, or sleepy feeling while driving, not wearing the safety belt while driving, basic things that you need to follow but when you didn't it causes a life.

The main reason why accidents happened because some people used to drive a car when they get drunk... It is the most common reason why accident are always happening but if everyone are aware about the cause of it probably they will stop using alcohol especially when they using vehicles and also if the government take an action with regards of they will be reduce this.... Everyone should need dicipline because it our own safety after all...

I think all the reasons and factors mentioned beforehand
are all correct and relevant. But personally I believe it's all in
the hands of the driver, he's the one doing all the work and anticipation
required or needed when driving. All that factors like discipline, lack of focus,
sleepless, over speeding, traffic light violation, distractions, substance abuse, mechanical problems,
weather conditions, alcohol consumption.. they all point to the driver on the wheels. And that makes him
or her the only capable cause of accidents on the road at all times. You may be a defensive driver for all the
right reasons and right time, but unfortunately others have a different point of view and are simply taking so much risk.  

I think the main cause of accidents is lack of focus. It happens when a person has been driving for a long time. We always thought that we are good at it and we forgot the basics of driving. Our main goal is to get to our destination and we didn't anticipate that bad things can happen all the time. As a result, there are accidents that can be minimize if we stay focus. That is how simple it is but its very hard to do when the driver is thinking of something else than driving.

Driving requires a lot of focus. Hand and eye should be well coordinated because you need to multi-task. Drivers should be responsible that when they're on the seat they should think that it's their lives they'll be risking but others on the road.

Accidents can be minimize if the driver is disciplined and avoid things that could make him out of focus.

A lot of it boils Down to lack of attention or impatience, I think. We want to get from A to B immediately, we hate waiting around, and we are so distracted - given short attention spans brought on my social media and other platforms - that we suck at focusing on anything.

i think a main cause of accidents/road safety is the disregard of keeping an appropriate distance between each car/vehicle on the road.....mostly the main case is mentioned as the speed of a vehicle..but i think the speed is not the real problem, it's the distance to the car infront that needs to be appropriate.........besides that cause, i will also mention alcohol...drinking alcohol & drive is just stupid, many people underestimate the effect of alcohol...thats just sad.......

Main cause of road accidents are wreckless driving, traffic violations such as ignoring the traffic lights, not crossing in pedestrian lane, ignoring traffic signs, overtaking and many more.If only everyone has a proper discipline it will surely elliminate road accidents.

There are many causes of road accidents first for not following the traffic signs, driving drunk, over speeding and using the phone while driving.

Most road accidents are caused by human errors like failure to follow road regulations or driving under the influence  and others are caused by the bad states of the roads. I have seen drivers trying to escape potholes getting involved in accidents in my country.

accidents often occur usually due to human negligence.
mainly due to:
Violation of traffic signs. For example, through a red light, against the current, and stop carelessly.

Driving disorders should be avoided using mobile phones, eating, reading, and performing other activities.

In the influence of alcohol / drugs.

High speed.

Not understanding. For example, driving aggressively and moving lanes without seeing other drivers.

Visibility limitations. The condition of heavy rain and night makes the visibility of the driver to be limited.

Punctures. Driver's negligence in checking conditions

Road accidents are caused by a number of factors. Some are caused by the driver’s negligent and others by the failure of government to fix damages on the road or proactively circulate any dangerous development on any route. You need to see some roads in the third world countries, they are already death trap and yet people have no choice but to use them.

sometimes because there are drivers who are inclined to drive your type as if they are the owner of the road and there are also drivers who are still raking so often passengers are shuffled because of drivers who are madman

many causes of traffic accidents, you drive with a hangover condition can also result in traffic accidents.
you drive with sleepiness, it can also cause accidents because of lack of focus you are driving

In my country, i believe lack of discipline among drivers, especially when they are in the influence of alcohol.

Lack of courtesy on the road, and also the lack of proper education for drivers. In my country, you are able to get a license as long as you pay the road officer a fee, in other words a bribe. It is extremely stupid, as there are so many drivers which aren't qualified driving on roads, causing accidents. Also, people here have no courtesy on the road and do as they please, don't even use signals to change lanes.
