Please explain the logic behind this 5% figure. Are you saying that 5% of all the drivers in Asian countries die every year? Or are you saying that the deaths from traffic accidents are increasing by 5% per year in the Asian countries? It depends on the country. The situation is not the same every where. You can't compare countries such as Japan and Singapore to India and Bangladesh.

Out of focus and no self discipline. Most of the time its out of focus, while driving theyre doing something and lost their focus on the wheels, that is very not so good, it could cause such a horrible accident that can cause death. And also self discipline, most of the violations are over-speeding, driving under the influence of alcohol and many more that can be avoided to lessen the accidents or lost.

We can really tell when accidents will come to us. We have to be a diciplined driver. We arent just the one will suffer if we will be careless in the road. Some cause of accidents are, drunk driver, over speeding, aggressive on the road and lack of knowledge on traffic signs. We have to be responsible driver and have a lot of patience so we can avoid accidents.

What are the main factors responsible for accidents in your country ? In my country mostly traffic signal violation.

Some people are not just responsible for their actions and not following the safety precautions some are lack of
knowledge in safety driving.one main course is also in alcohol so dont drink and drive..

I agree, some people just don't feel responsible for their actions and it's very sad to see such people in society...they bring the destruction

the high number of road accidents at this time has become a concern for the government and society.
a lot of things that can cause accidents while driving on the road.
lack of understanding about how to ride a motorcycle / car and understanding good traffic rules is one of the main causes of road accidents.

In our country, the min cause of accidents are uneducated drivers. Here we live in a xpuntry where traffic signs are prevalent. The thing is, drivers often ignore these signs and go their own way in driving. Solid yellow lanes or solidwhite lanes are often ignored.

This used to be one of the major causes of accidents in my country. But now another factor has emerged as the number 1 killer. Do you know about it? It is the usage of mobile phones while driving. And the drivers here don't even use bluetooth sets to connect to their phones. They just manually pickup the calls, while driving at 80 mph or 90 mph.

In my country the biggest cause of road accidents is mainly due to the bad roads and a lot of potholes of the road, drivers try to avert it and they end up crashing into each and causing accidents.

they are not follow the road sign,,they are using cellphone while driving,drinking liqour while driving thats the few causes of road accidents.

In my place, three people died in an accident today morning, at around 3 am. They were dropping one of their relatives to the airport and the accident happened after the driver fell asleep while driving. Some people get over-confident while driving. If you feel sleepy or drunk, then there is no harm in taking a break of 2-3 hours before resuming your journey.

The main cause of accidents in the roads is I think human error,overspeeding,undiscipline drivers and driving while drunk..so always be cautious while driving,wear your safety devices and use your seatbelts because accidents always happen in the street everyday.

This is one of the major causes in my area. I have seen people driving their cars at 70 mph, with one hand on the steering wheel and the other hand on their mobile phone. Unfortunately, it has almost become a norm here. In any other country, their license would be suspended immediately if they do something like that. But not here in India.
