looks like the theory that was discussed here were the pilot smooth landed the 777 into the ocean (minimal debris) and sank the plane into the bottom of the ocean is becoming more in line with the findings.

Hmm.. right now that theory seems to be the most reliable one.

Good news:

Quote
The signal had been heard in sea with a depth of 4,500m, he added, which was at the limit of the capability of the Bluefin 21.

If the signal stops that needle in a haystack gets even smaller.

At 5,000m depth that means that there will be 0% possibility of finding it.

Because, if it's really a black box, it is emitting only sporadic pings which probably means that either the battery is coming to an end, or it has been severely damaged and might permanently stop working any time. In which case we're back to square one.

Even if the battery runs out of power, the data can be recovered later. But it will not emit any radio signals and finding it it will be extremely difficult.

Hopefully ADV Ocean Shield and HMS Echo, both having more sophisticated gear onboard than the Chinese ship, will be able to find out more. Why do you seem hell bent on disbelieving what you have no clue about?

Well that's just what conspiracy theorists do. The 'official story' is always less exciting. A simple and plausible story such as 'the plane crashed' or 'we don't know' would never satisfy a theorist regardless of the facts or lack thereof. There must be a conspiracy in everything, and if there isn't one, they'll sure as hell make up a lot of wild scenarios based on the tiniest slithers of what they believe to be true (based on misinformation or actual facts or not).

Black box is most probably dead by now..

A typical black box have the power backup to last 30 days or more. So we have plenty of time.

he acoustic pingers believed to be on Malaysia Airlines Flight 370's two black boxes were due for overhauls and battery replacements in 2012 but were never returned to their manufacturer, the manufacturer tells CNN.

If the original batteries remain in the pingers, the battery life probably will have dropped from the required 30 days to 20 or 25 days, Patel says.

http://edition.cnn.com/2014/04/04/us/flight-370-pinger-batteries/

Its kinda funny you disbelieve the official story (which basically only is "we have no clue"), and seem willing to accept any conspiracy as more plausible than the official 'we have no clue' story, yet apparently you barely know any of the facts of the investigation. You are not aware of the acars pings that pretty much prove the plane flew south for a long time, have no clue about GPS, and you missed this story too. Why do you seem hell bent on disbelieving what you have no clue about?

Black box is most probably dead by now.. I'm sure this will be just another false lead and then the search will move another 600 miles away due to another false lead.

This plane is gone forever I think.

What's that supposed to mean?
Just reacting to your dry wit. Or were you serious?

What dry wit is that exactly?
