I wish the new Leonardo version came out already with the improvements to take advantage of the current situation.

Are you running any strategies? Sounds like you've yet to make any gains?
Ha ha, so you would think? A good pirate never tells all, had mine purring along running 27 pair on a VPS in another country. When things got rowdy I stopped and redistributed my portfolio to safely pick up some S2X shitcoin and whatever fallout comes from it.  Have half parked near silver and half parked near tether until we are out of rough waters. I got out of altcoin on the 1st of November soon as BTC went vertical and silver took a dive. Best to rest up and let the rest dog it out, there is plenty to go around. Grin

noob here Wink

Any instructions on how to install/run on ubuntu?
Thanks
I run mine right out of my home directory. It is a self contained QT5 package, you do not have to have QT5 installed. Even with a minimalist Ubuntu installation there should not be any outstanding dependencies at all.
Just unzip it to your /home/
Open a command line terminal
cd leonArdo-linux
type ./leonArdo.sh -and watch the magic happen

Thanks mate. Smiley

Was trying to run it on an old atom Lubuntu netbook to test it but couldn't.
The reason was that my netbook is 32bit and leonardo linux version is 64bit.

My next try on a 64bit ubuntu laptop was succesful. Grin

How is everyone tracking their profit and losses?
You've got profit? Shocked
Right now with a pad and paper. I asked for a feature request as some type of profit/loss indicator by pair.

I'm only running demo's right now to see if I can come up with a strategy that works, but it's tough to properly track what's going on. A P&L report is absolutely critical for a program like this. Not sure why it wasn't included in the initial release. The data is all there in the completed trades log. Are you running any strategies? Sounds like you've yet to make any gains?

Gday John,

I am just checkin in to see if BTC-e (WEX) is up again. and if so just create a new key, and let you know?

Cheers
 Regards Dan

Hey Dan,

No, afraid not. We spent a few hours looking into it a while back and the API keys part of their site was not working as it should.

Since then we lost interest and no one has really been asking for it.

Are you aware that it's working again?

Best wishes,
Jonathan
The current stats say there are 2924 users and 702 bots running on the site, so i can only assume that API must be functioning?
i asked in the trollbox, and was told it is functional Smiley

Any news about running leonArdo in Raspberry or other small computer?

It would be so nice to be able run leonArdo 24/7 again. My current laptop must be alot offline and even turned off.

I don't think a Raspberry has the hardware to run it. On an AWS VPS machine with 1g of ram and 1 VCPU, Leonardo basically becomes unresponsive after one full day open/running, and if I'm not mistaken, a PI has lesser hardware specs then the AWS machine.

Actually, we've been testing on a Pi and have been pleasantly surprised by the performance. Sure, you have to limit the number of bots and open pairs - but it works!

We are working on integrating this into our build process and testing a little more.

Best wishes,
Jonathan

can you please explain the installation command on the Pi.i am new on pi.
my pi is ready and now i need to install this but have no idea. thank you

SO I setup Leonardo to run two bots on Bitfinex for a few hours, I come back to an application error (which at some point i assumed would happen given the current bitfinex issues that have been posted). But now, I try to continue my session and it says that my key/secret doesnt allow it to connect? Anyone else having this issue currently?

Looks like your API key got blocked. It should work again after some time. If not let us know by firing a mail to [email protected]

We hope to release a new update to leonArdo this week which uses web sockets for Bitfinex and therefore should avoid this happening.

Best wishes,
Jonathan

I'd also like the ability to see EMAs for selected coin pairs and Bollinger Bands. Not sure if anyone has asked for this already, but there are some trading schemes that can work with this data.

Thank you,

-Fred

Of course, I find it in the app right after I ask about it in the forum :-/

Hi, I just donwloaded and tryed the 3.5 and 3.4 linux version, I wanna buy it but it doesnt load the bittrex pairs. Im running:
Linux bl4ckb0x 4.13.9-1-ARCH #1 SMP PREEMPT Sun Oct 22 09:07:32 CEST 2017 x86_64 GNU/Linux
LSB Version:   1.4
Distributor ID:   Arch
Description:   Arch Linux
Release:   rolling
Codename:   n/a

 Huh Huh
Let me know if you know something about coz Im really interested in this bot ....

Sorry about the delay in getting back to you. I am just back from holidays.

On Arch, the list of currency pairs is sometimes empty in leonArdo’s login screen. This is caused by our Qt being compiled with openssl 1.0 while Arch uses 1.1. There is a way to downgrade openssl but it requires us to twist the package manager's arm a bit in order for it not to uninstall a bunch of other stuff such as coreutils.

Warning: This way of getting leonArdo to run might therefore have dire side effects and you should know that you risk ruining your Arch install. If you are the adventurous type you can try the following on Arch:

Code:
sudo pacman -S openssl-1.0
sudo pacman -Rdd openssl

We are looking into a much better solution.

Best wishes,
Jonathan

Warning justified, we can now confirm that the proposed way of getting leonArdo to run on Arch Linux by downgrading OpenSSL as already feared *does* indeed ruin your Arch install. It will in fact render pacman unusable, so you can't even revert the changes anymore. So don't do it!

We hope we have a proper fix ready soon that then also helps Debian users who seem to be running into the same problem.

Yes, you can revert the changes ... Im running leanArdo on arch linux but maybe is not the best way ... (keep always a root terminal) :

sudo su
pacman -Rdd openssl

#### Run leonArdo from other terminal
./run-leonArdo.sh    <- At this moment its works fine, then lets fix openssl, pacman, to get root...

#####
In our root terminal
#

wget https://archlinux.mirror.pkern.at/core/os/x86_64/openssl-1.1.0.g-1-x86_64.pkg.tar.xz
tar xf openssl-1.1.0.g-1-x86_64.pkg.tar.xz
cp -fR usr/lib/ /usr/
pacman -S openssl    (I use yaourt -Suy openssl --force)

Hi Jonathan
can i buy or sell based on two EMA and MacD indicators with LeonArdo?
i want to try the mac version, but it can't installed, I always get "no mountable file systems" error from 3.5 version

Thank You

Hi,

Yes, some Mac users that don't have the latest High Sierra have this issue.

I'll pm you with details of how to handle it.

Right now leonArdo comes bundled with 2 bots: a static ping pong one and a dynamic mArgin maker one. We are busy implementing new bots based on leonArdo's indicators.

Best wishes,
Jonathan
