Christian Dekker: “I think that everyone will use bitcoin in one form or another. I’m not sure in what form this will happen, whether each person will have their own wallet or bitcoin will be part of some other mechanism in the hidden form "However, this is a very important tool, and people will use it."

What do you think guys? how many years do we need for all people using BTC?
Bitcoin adoption is around 2-3%. Look at this S-curve, which shows adoption over time. As you can see, it takes a time when adoption goes from innovators to early majority.  Wink

By the way, who is Christian Dekket?  Cheesy

I think this is more apt in line with the current market condition.

We are definitely inside the chasm now. And yes, maybe it will take a longer time than you would expect.

Bitcoin by itself is handicapped. Bitcoin community is often hand-waving the problem to some distant future: Adoption will happen at some point, in some form, but we don't know Roll Eyes. Bitcoin is a Store of Value. It needs to pair with spending tokens. We need to experiment with better forms of spending tokens. I analyze the issue in my post: https://bitflate.org/post/2019/08/26/bitcoin-missing-link-to-the-world.html.

We can't say for sure how long it's going to take almost everyone to use bitcoin. Some persons or group of persons just may never use bitcoin because of how rural their community is, and lack of basic technology to ease conversion of bitcoin to physical money so to speak. If the world government will be truth to themselves, we should see many world population using cryptocurrency. You know some persons allow the government to do the thinking and certify what is good and bad.

I'm not so sure about that unless the country itself or government recognized bitcoin or if it will be teach on a learning institution. Mass adoption will come but I doubt that all people will ever use it, not all people can even own a cellphone at least or even buy a hardware wallet.
That's simple truth and must be told. For now am not seeing mass adoption in respect to Bitcoin but what we have seen so far are early adoptors, there are still many individuals who doesn't have the ideas of operating a cell phone, many have not the technical known how to technologies and it will be very difficult for them to adopt Bitcoin. But the good thing is that, those.who have adopted Bitcoin are those who have the technical knowledge and more ofthis categories are adopting day after day. One thing is sure, Bitcoin will be in the hands of everyone in the nearest future.

A lot of year.
It aint the right time yet.
Worse part is there are too many coins that are being created and it might confuse a normal human who havent been to crypto and will be forced to use it because of a mandatory monetary change.
It will not be an easy jump.
A lot of paper works needs to be done and it needs the approval of the government and also the people if you are living in a democratic country.

I searched who ever that Christian Dekket is, I found none.

The tools he meant there could just be the stable coins we are now using or probably government backed crypto.
That graph right there says we are just too early for mass adoption which could be 50 years ahead of us.  Can't imagine what you could be with 1BTC after 50 years.

I think no one can really give us an exact answer about when BTC will widely be accepted and used worldwide. But from the looks and news that I'm seeing, we're gearing towards that. Major companies are now accepting BTC as payment across different countries and at the same time, some government are also accepting the fact that this is the future.

Year after year, adoption of Bitcoin is increasing worldwide but to be honest there is no specific time frame to it. Changes in technology is happening right now and more and more people are becoming interested to invest in Bitcoin and the blockchain technology. In my place, only me knows cryptcocurrency because it is also hard to spread some knowledge about it because of its complexity.

sooner or later I'm always sure of that, big countries will agree with bitcoin and serve as a means of payment,
and if that has happened then a small country will follow and eventually the BTC will be adopted en masse.
Fortunately, smaller countries are even the ones that are accepting the use of cryptocurrency more than the larger countries, so it is not going to be a new thing to them when the big ones eventually chose to accept it, and I even think that it is smaller countries that are influencing the bigger ones already since they have tested and implemented it and the bigger countries like America, china and India have seen that it has not affected them, their economy or their power over their citizens in a negative way, they are beginning to have a soft spot for the cryptocurrency.

I am quite certain that countries like America will be regulating it very soon and since they regulate it, that would be the beginning of cryptocurrency wide spread in the whole wide world.

We cannot know the exact time when Bitcoin was popular around the world. Many countries issue Bitcoin-related bans, and it makes Bitcoin inaccessible to everyone. I realise that it takes more time than we anticipate. But I still hope Bitcoin will be known to the whole world and use it as a currency.

The introduction of bitcoin is very slow. Half of my friends have not even heard about the existence of cryptocurrency. This is also due to different levels of technological development in different countries. Cryptocurrency is introduced only in developed countries with good Internet. And what can we say about the countries  third world, where people have problems with water and food...

Bitcoin was getting more popular for each day and i'm sure too bitcoin users were increase following the popularity of bitcoin but to be mass adopted which mean people all over the world use bitcoin i think it's hard to do so especially bitcoin will facing different regulations from different countries and i personally highly doubt bitcoin will be mass adopted
For bitcoin to be adopted worldwide, every single individual mustn't own bitcoin, what is needed is awareness that the network is viable and a very good alternative as well as can perfectly work side by side with fiat.

If such awareness is spread in almost every nook and cranny of the society, then malls, stores and merchant houses would be willing to accept bitcoin, even if prior to that time they(the store owners)owned no bitcoin of their own.

How many years can anyone use Bitcoin? This is an interesting question. Mass adoption is necessary so that cryptocurrencies can be a profitable need. Until now I saw that this Bitcoin has undergone a very good development.

My country is still doing research on Bitcoin. But everyone can still do Bitcoin development. So Bitcoin in my own country to be legal, just waiting for time.

I think it will take a very long time for Bitcoin to be used by everyone in all countries of the world. my suggest is maybe for the next 20-30 years. indeed there are many surveys that show an increase in bitcoin users each year, but this applies only in developed and developing countries. in fact, in poor countries and some developing countries still prohibit the use and all bitcoin transactions. but I'm sure bitcoin users will increase if the government (a country) plays a role in cryptocurrency
We still have option to use fiat and yet to consider cryptocurrency depending on the areas that are being accepted.
Knowing that fact that not all of us are open for crypto nor they appreciate crypto for the best currency to use in an online transaction will be a hindrance for huge market adoption. Mass adoption will always be matter on how we look into it and how we give support for this technology.

In the end, everything will come to this. Bitcoin will be able to upgrade the lighting network and then It will be much easier for people to understand. Once people did not know how to use plastic credit cards but now they are used by the whole world. If people understand that using bitcoin is convenient then progress can go faster.

Mass adoption of bitcoin are keep on increasing as the time goes by,but it is difficult to tell or even to predict when will be bitcoin have a total mass adoption because we know that other country banned it or prohibit to use it. Value of bitcoin keep on increasing too because of limited supply with higher demand but it is not the basis of mass adoption. Also not all people in every country where bitcoin is used and legal knows what is bitcoin and how to use it specially those in old aged which is doesn't know even to use a cellphone and those people in remote areas that has no capability to buy a gadget that they can use for bitcoin. There are so many things that can be a hindrance for bitcoin total adoption. But only time can tell what will be a bitcoin in the future.

No matter the governments and regulations I don't think that Bitcoin will ever have real mass adoption. The reason for that is nature of Bitcoin, not equal techical development in different countries and limited supply. With these features I don't think how it's possible to ensure mass adoption all around the world. And it's hard to expect unique attitude of all regulators towards cryptocurrencies.
