Even Conor McGregor's sparring mate in boxing doubts if he can hit Mayweather. Even if he trains day and night for the next few weeks, that wouldn't be enough to match the skills of one of boxing's best ever. But if it's the money talking, I bet Conor is all ears. I bet he can retire in the UFC after this one, even if he loses lopsidedly.

agree with that,Conor Mcgregor is my favorite UFC Athlete,but i never see him playing boxing,maybe on some video he train to play it. anyway,Maywheater superior here,because he has experience and good technique,but conor have good stamina and this would be great fight,can't wait to see their fight.McGregor was fighting at 170 lbs there... that was obviously a lot of extra weight on him. McGregor natural weight is around 155 lbs. Mayweather is a 145lbs fighter... so another advantage for McGregor is that he will fight at his natural weight and Mayweather will need to bulk a bit (the fight is happening at 154lbs). McGregor is a way bigger dude than Mayweather even tho he is not tall but he has insane shoulder span.
Mayweather's only advantage over McGregor is really boxing skills and experience, and that should be enough.
I would probably go for Mayweather on this one. Mayweather become a famous boxer in the league of boxing for his whole career. Imagine an undefeated career for him? He defeated even the Philippines best boxer Manny "Pacman" Pacquiao and Pacman won an 8th division title on his career and was defeated by our own moneyboy. So Mayweather probably has the higher chance in winning this fight. Using his punches, jabs, hooks and uppercut well its the end for McGregor. But Mc is also a great fighter in the box. And this would be a great fight but I'm bias to Mayweather so sorry for those who picked Mc as their bias in the box.

I just LOL'd at the article. Connor is not a pro boxer. Connor has no advantage over Mayweather period. Although he is a live dog and has a chance to win if he hits a lucky punch, but in reality its difficult to hit Mayweather. And whatever advantage you think Connor has, Mayweather will simply adjust as the round progresses. Floyd is still at the top of his game despite his age. But McGregor never fight on boxing rules before, never fight until 12 rounds full and many else. In the other hand, Mayweather is really got big advantage here. I can't bet on anyone to win because there is a 50% chance for them to win. Comparing the two, McGregor is quick, agile and very much flexible. He also plays tactfully with his mind which is an added bonus regarding him. Mayweather as well all know is experienced af, built and is undefeated till this stage. If he plays with same strategy and skills as how he played with Pacquiao then McGregor is pretty much done.
Conor McGregor might be a good MMA fighter but he does not have any chances in a boxing ring with Mayweather and the only thing that interests me is the big odds and i would not mind waging $10 in the fight and see whether we could see some upset in the fight which is really impossible considering the fact that none of the legends of boxing could defeat Mayweather.
I don't see how Mayweather can lose this fight. He is such a well-trained boxer and has been a top professional all his life. Besides, he can always rely on his superior defense if he's ever in trouble.
The bigger question is, if this fight is not purely for entertainment, then why not have Mcgregor fight in with some of the better boxers first in real matches? That way, people can gauge if Mcgregor really does have the ability to match Mayweather.

I really like these sort of match up,but i think it is too much to handle for Conor and that too facing the greatest defensive boxer of all time.What i respect about Mayweather is that he is a clean fighter,which means he never uses drugs nor uses alcohol,basically he is not a junkie and he is constantly practicing and working out with his students,so i do find it hard to see Conor win,but he might land some punches which could surprise Mayweather and i am sure if Mayweather schools him then Conor might use his round house kick. 
Conor needs to KO him in the first couple of rounds while Mayweather tests him to read his game and adjust. In MMA you keep a massive distance compared to boxing because of the kicks and takedown attempts, in boxing it's much closer, so if Conor sticks to MMA type pf distance and tries to be awkward to confuse Mayweather, he will need some rounds to adjust.
The interesting statistic that I would need to know is how many opponents has Floyd fought where he didn't had the reach advantage, because Conor has the reach advantage in this fight.
