It's not that fee buddy missed that spike, it is probably due to the "lag" in reporting and the fact that he uses some kind of averaging.
We will know more on the next update, due at 9:59 PM forum time, to see if the spike is visible on the chart.
My guess is that it will, but the fee estimate will be barely moved.
