I find it's interesting how Bitcoin price can constantly increasing but the fees is still cheap, I thought both of them are following each other.

when ETF are buying coin on exchanges.. it does not effect blockchain data
when ETF withdraw from spot exchange to deposit into custodian.. a transaction is the same length of bytes of value for one output whether its moving a output of 330sat or 10,000btc

its actually a benefit really
if 100,000 were offering 0.1btc on a spot exchange. and one user bought 10k btc. the withdraw is just one output
where as if it was say another 100,000 users. where usually only 10% then withdraw, it would use dozens of transactions for hundreds of users batched together over time

There's a good trend in Grayscale Bitcoin Trust, maybe this is the reason why the transaction fees is cheap and Bitcoin price is rising, because the money invested in Bitcoin is handed by custodial entity without moving the real coins.

I noticed the total transactions in thee mempool is going down.

We have now about 130k transactions in the mempool, and we used to have 250k. This is something I will add to feebuddy.

As total transactions continues to go down, fees will get lower and lower

I am still waiting for q 1 satvB to make large consolidations. They will come   Smiley

11sat/b did happen multiple times but under 10 will be really tough, it will trigger a lot of consolidations, not that they aren't happening even now but the other bad news is that the adjustment is in a few hours, we had 7.3% in the previous epoch an not probably 7.8-7.9% up, pretty hard to have another 7% to keep the same number of extra blocks mined, we're 143 blocks ahead so basically we had an extra day of transactions capacity.

Just as I said earlier,  I still think we will see 1 sat vB soon.

All this crazy about fees was caused by ordinals/inscriptions/jpegs or whatever.

Wheen this stops and the mempool contains only bitcoin normal Transactions , fees will drop even more.

That's actually what Ordinals users were debating about. They claim that low fees = low demand, and that those people who want Ordinals out, don't actually use Bitcoin. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

What do they want users to do, use our precious Bitcoins for our daily coffee transactions? They shouldn't condemn anyone for HODLing if they're actual contribution to Bitcoin are mere dick pics and fart sounds in the blockchain.

Does anyone know if there's a site that displays ordinals statistics in real time similar to mempool.space?

Sure, I could use the mempool googles and look for any blocks that have "Data" tagged on them, but that 1) lumps all the OP_RETURN and other data transactions along with it and 2) is not very convenient to see how the volume is changing over the past few days and weeks.

Because right now, it is very hard for me to look at the mempool and make a prediction if we are going to lower in fees or this is it.

That is not exactly what you are looking for, but you can find a lot of information here
https://ordinals.com/
Such as latest inscriptions, TX, address, blocks, etc.

FeeBuddy just posted a few days ago 11 sat vB.
Ofc you can get something like 11 or 12 Sar vB anytime now.  Maybe even 9.
Fees are low now. It is already a good time to make transactions.

That being said I've consolidated 10 larger inputs at 12sat/vb, just to have them in my spending wallet ready if we go into another orc/src/brc/trc/mmorpg whatever madness. Anyhow, this is just beautiful:

I have seen here or somewhere else that someone has to consolidate their six- to seven-year-old TX's.

I didn't make any transactions in the last couple of days. But the mempool seems kind of reasonable right now. It's a good time to consolidate the transactions. I don't remember who said that but I have seen here or somewhere else that someone has to consolidate their six- to seven-year-old TX's. I hope they won't miss this opportunity. To be honest, I haven't checked the fees in the last two weeks.

We never know if another BRC-20 project is cooking. When these new projects are released, their transaction volumes and the number of inscriptions increase and they congest the mempool. I hope no more new projects in the coming weeks.
