If you can reread this with a straight face and then tell me you don't understand why you haven't earned any merit yet, then you've probably given up a good career as a poker player, because THIS is the reason why you (and others who write just like you in the English section) are not getting merit points.

If your post doesn't make a lick of sense to a native English speaker, do you really think even your closest relative (next laptop over), who would be disposed to kindness towards you, would read it, much less give it merits??  Hell, no!

The only way you folks are going to rank up is by illegitimate, backdoor means.  To wit: trading merits, buying them, and/or buying accounts that already have them.  You are never, ever, going to earn merits--unless you can figure out a way to do so by posting on the local boards.  I still have some faith that this will eventually end up being a solution to the problem you guys have created.
There are many users here who grab on to that excuse before examining how shitty their English is first.  And I can say for myself that I would give, and have gladly given merits to people I don't "know". 

Frankly, I don't know anyone on this forum.  There are definitely people I respect more so than others, but if you look at the people I've given merits to, it's a broad array of members--and I don't know a single one of them enough to call them by their first name.  So that excuse doesn't hold water. 

In fact, it's chiefly the merit abusers themselves who use this excuse, while at the same time trading merits between alt accounts and friends.  Blame the fuckers in your own neighborhood first before pointing your fingers at people you've no idea about.

Really a lot of difficulties from Merit. Although it is true, there are many things that need to be improved

merit are made for good reason and some need to have a lot of merit to move up to the next rank.
so this is a competition that I think is fair to do to improve a post that can help others.

It seems to be like cost cutting in "COMPANY SAYING" just to be like that, I think they can strict to regulate the Rank Higher for the purpose of minimizing for any coins distribution when they applying for different Bounty campaign that's only my own perception. that's why merit has limited and selected elite to worthy person. so we'll just wait guys if they are willing to give us the merit  and we received it in a heartily accepting.

Still im looking for a merit but still i never get it so still trying i think merit is fair because milestone like merit need br like this it will be earn to ahrd

It is true for new people it will feel difficult if want to up the rank, because from jr member to member we have to collect merit. if you try hard and make a really useful post there will be someone who sincerely gives merit. We do not have to focus too much with merit. Let it flow. Which is important we sincerely provide useful post. If there is no merit, it will be a lot of junk post.

Rule is a rule and we have to live by it. Just continue on posting quality ones and hope that somebody would notice your work and spare you some merits.

For me , merit is very effective to prevent many fake accounts in our community. It also helps to further post the postings and prevent lots of spam and  untopic comments , Yeah your right its not easily to earn merit . I have many positive posts but im still not get any merit but i think i need more improvements to achieve that.

It's not fair if you already feel make a quality post but no merit for them. one of the reasons that underlie it, it could be because the quality of which you speak is not necessarily well qualified for others. In addition, it is indeed sometimes there are people who don't want to give merit to a person they don't know. It should be noted however that the merit system has been great and this makes people become increasingly active make a quality post to improve the rank of their account.

I think its quite fair though, as you can see it would lessen or reduce the spammers here on the forum. So i prefer the new system the merit system despite the struggles our moderators want us to be settled or organize.

Well, I for one, prefer the merit system as it keeps the forum on track. It reduces the irrelevant frequent post as each participant here wishes to get 1 or 2 merits from a quality post. This harness intensive reading and brings out our logical and critical thinking skills on issues/topics being raised.
Also, the merit system functions as a check to multiple accounts. I believe if you really post a quality one, you will be merited.

merit system can really make this forum avoid shit posters. Although it is really hard to gain merit even if you give good quality post. Not all member here will give time to read or review other members post just to give merit, they don't really care if you gain merit or not. Well, I guess what we have to do is continue posting comments with quality for sure one of these days we will gain 1 or 2 merits.

Merit has it's own purpose, and yes it is to improve the quality of everyone's post. Let us all make sure that prior sharing our thoughts and ideas in this forum it will attract more people to focus on it and show interest upon reading our post.

Seems unfair for you but for me it's totally not. Not only the newcomers are struggling because of this merit system, higher rank members also feel the same way.
You are right somehow but not speak in general because I believe that there are still generous members here. Besides, make some considerations for not giving you a merit because I know that they've got their own reasons like maybe they don't have an smerit to give, they disagree in your opinion or maybe they are not yet contented in your answer/post. Just be patient and I'm sure you'll get one next time.

I feel you bro because I also don't have friends that I could ask for a merit but that's alright because it's not necessary begging for merits, I let my posts work for it.
This is already answered many times before so to make it short, this is implemented to force everyone to improve quality of posts and to cleanse this forum.

I believe that one way to show others that you are good enough and that you really deserve to be in this forum is through the posts we have. Well basically, we don't all know who are we conversing with and we can not assume that there is favoritism or bias choosing of whom should we give our merits so technically, it is how you really post. I think it is just fair. Maybe you are just not confident of your posts. Better improve it.

This is the very fact in the merit system. Everyone do have biased decision of giving up merit points. Which is unfavorable to those who are new in the community. If this is to be corrected then merit system shall be overwhole thoroughly.

Merit is good it can help to grow Bitcointalk community and to avoid spammers and account farmers, It is a bad idea for new members in this forum but developers need to put these features to avoid spammers.
I hope all of newbies here in Bitcointalk will understand this new feature, In this case we will see who are the active and good posters in this forum i know that is hard to achieve but we need to hardwork so Goodluck

I agree with you partly because from the time merit was introduce, I only receive one merit from someone actually I don't know. I just reply on his post. Thanks to him. I already gave I think 6 merits to individual I felt need some merits. But merits do create much better environment, so we have to just bear with it.
