Could somebody explain please. If I post high quaility massages but none of the users give me merit. What should I do? How can I get merit?
That is actually nice ‘Quail Massage’ it can treat body stress or pain.

What should I do? How can I get merit?
You can create more alts to help you get merit. Like for example, I have my xtraelv & DdmrDdmr as alt accounts, plus the thing why theymos greeted me on my birthday and ask me if what icons I would like to our forum, it is because my main account is satoshi (I am from Asia). LOL. I think this reply will get merit just to piss-off those people who are complaining about merit system.
Sorry for the troll side of me.

Seriously, the above are samples of quality poster(s) – hope you can learn from their history. The mere fact that you are asking these questions in this topic demonstrates your lack of reading. Read between the lines.

Good luck!

See you around.

I don't mean bounty entries at all. Should I stop doing bounty for merit? Of course not. I just started earning merit. I've made 2 posts 300 words each and got nothing, I thought I posted usuful info. One of the post disapeared. I think it's not so easy to earn merit as you said. Anyway thanks for the answer.

I'm curious as to see what you consider to be a high quality post. Link me to a post that you believe to be of your highest quality, and if I agree, I'll merit it.

As others have stated, just because a post is long doesn't mean it's a good one.

Damn... 300 words? I wonder how you didn't get at least 30 merits Roll Eyes

Like it matters the number of words you use. But let me guess... You are talking about one of those posts in the Bitcoin Discussion board, right? Which are on page 80 of a Spam Mega Thread, will never be read by anyone (because they are buried with another 300 shitposts) and it's probably just repeating the same points that have been said in one of the previous 79 pages. No wonder you have 300+ posts and 0 merits...

In this way users are forced to make comments of a very good quality to get some merit, excellent strategy

Even if you have posted a very long essay here, that doesn't mean it is quite useful nor constructive. A single liner post can also gain some Merits, ya' know?

Don't get stressed if you didn't earn some, being knowledgeable here is also a blessing, with this we can have a serious discussion together with the old members here and also with that, you can enhance your abilities to write some useful context.

And for the last tip, I think it's better if you double check your posts before publishing it to the public, in order to prevent some typo-errors that can be misleading to the readers.

I can publish messages for years and not receive anything
That's the only way. If you are not getting any merit for years, then your posts are most likely the problem - and not the users. Getting merit isn't hard.

Maybe stop with bounty entries since they are 80% of your post history. And you will NEVER get any merit for those.

Actually, he has earned way more merit than you think.

Jet Cash started out with 500 merit as a Hero Member and has therefore earned 622 merit.
...
You can also check the number of merit that he has earned here:

Wow, that's impressive!
Sorry for my mistake, I could have checked this
And thanks for interesting link!

Yulia2404,
That's great that you post "high quaility massages", I like massages too, but still most of people pay with fiat for massages.
And talking about messages, it's really not predictable
One time I shared photos how I paid NEM for tea and somebody sent me 10 Merits (I didn't met this person in other threads before), I was very surprised and happy
So you never know

But there is another way to see who is definitely not a bounty hunter, for example you have 1122 Merit, so 122+ merit after implementations.

You don't have to be "in crypto" to become a legendary. Reading many of the bounty hunters posts, I'm not sure that they even know the difference between crypto and fiat. Well maybe they do, but only at the level that you don't get fiat air drops.

Yes, I agree, but if somebody is Legendary bounty hunter it means that he or she is in bounties a way before it became mainstream.
Is it definitely better than newbies? Yes, sure, such Legendary bounty hunters can receive x4-10 more than Jr.members or Members, only because of status. So that's good for them for sure.

But there is another way to see who is definitely not a bounty hunter, for example you have 1122 Merit, so 122+ merit after implementations. Bounty hunters rarely receive merit, so the numbers speak for themselves even without looking on the signature

What I can say about Merit is that it cemented the users' statuses from the days it was implemented.
While it's still not hard to become Member or Jr.Member, it's very hard to advance for higher ranks.

That's sad, as for me it looks almost impossible to become Hero Member or Legendary..
But what merit did is really implemented differentiation - now when you see Hero Member or Legendary you know that they are long time in crypto area (as to get that status they had to be for more than 1 year here before the merit implemented)

The only thing I would like to suggest is may be more Merit can be generated and distributed?

I am two weeks away to be a Full Member, but now I'll have to collect 90 merit to deserve this rank. I'm a bit confused but I totally understand the system. I hope that now the forum will be with less shitposts.

Personally, I will not change my manner to participate here. I'll continue to post quality messages. If I get merit points : good ! If I don't get them, it's not a biiiiig deal, I'll wait. And I will give my sMerits without being manipulative. I hope that everyone will think like me. Let's be positive guys.  Grin

I noticed a lot of accounts with exactly the right amount of merit, and exactly the right amount of posts, full member, about a year old or so.  A hundred merit is almost one per post, so I click on posts an it's just a sea of good luck on your project, and this is amazing, can't wait till the changes are implemented, etc.  It feels like someone is manufacturing these for signature value.  You have 12 merit, I have 2 merit, most of my posts are paragraphs with lots of thought put into it, so their accounts are considered of higher quality.  I don't know what is the harm of just letting everyone have a sick signature, and than when advertisers buy signature campaigns they can pick based on some quality attributes, length of posts, merit score, rank, etc.  This way everyone can link something they are passionate about, your favorite dice site, new coin, etc.  I'm not too upset by it, would be cool to put a nice banner up for something, but I know for a fact I will never ever hit 100 merit, simply impossible.  Doesn't matter how many posts and how good they are, it will never happen.
Edit: I see now new people can buy copper and have images, that's pretty cool, I can just do that if I really need a banner.

Vod, it is a very good and short comment, but 45 merit I find a bit exaggerated. The only reason why so many Merit have happened is that the post is just at the beginning. Am I right there?
It's more that it was the beginning of the merit system, where people were playing around with it and perhaps didn't yet realize the importance of merits.  There's no way in hell that even Vod would receive that many merits if he made that post today.  In January, people were doing exactly what you saw on the first page of this thread--showering well-known senior members with merits.

Things settled down pretty quickly for whatever reason, and then the sMerits started drying up.

That font is annoying, BTW.

In case anyone else has this question here - Must an account be 'full member' status to send or receive merit?

No.

Please read at least the first post of the thread before posting if you want to earn any merits ever.

After analyzing the question i think that the new rank and merit is must because even in companies there are different ranks and positions according to the ability and qualification of a person but in this case the person is not promoted from the rank of legendary member which a investor can get after getting 1000 merits.Actually the promotion of a investor is necessary as the 2000 merits gets completed and for. this purpose the need for new rank or position get generated. Moreover there some other things are also there such as when the original poster of the post shared his or her merit with the other person is it lead to deduction in the merits of those person who post first and then share and is there any security regarding buying and selling of send able merits and any protection from the hackers that the same time.

The only reason why so many Merit have happened is that the post is just at the beginning. Am I right there?
The number of Merit earned by a post depends on the number of people that read it. Being at the beginning of this thread means many people have seen it, which increases the chance of getting merited.

And the comment is on point and represents many of members opinion, so i guess it is a well deserved merit for the post. You can be on the first page but people still can find your post is not meritorious enough.
And also due to the fact he is well known member on this community. Grin

I doubt that some random people will get that much amount of merits for a short comment even it is worth to read in that thread.
