run cpu miner it has auto tune ability on your miners i run 2 gridseed 5 chip miners that are volt modded

and i run cpu miner it will auto tune the 5 different chips some of my chips run 1000mhz some run 975 some run 900 but mine are overclocked

Tried your suggestion, CPUminer found the miner, but did not hash.  100% error it said (not HW error).  Pool is good, Temp is good, connection is good.  The log file shows the new blocks as the pool announces, just doesn't hash/accept/HW error. Yet I take that same GDS to my PC setup, plug it in and 100% hash @ 502Mhz, accepts like a madman (BFGminer running on PC atm).

I used first 850MHz then 975MHz which made no difference on the minera dashboard.

I'm wondering what I'm missing??  Aside from saving changes and restart the GDS (in Local Miner area), there is not like actual "Start/Run" button I've missed (lol)?

I'm currently trying to get away from the PC to a R-Pi B.  I would like to run my 20 Gridseed 5-chip dual miners (or globes as some call them) through the Pi.

For testing I have one connected directly to the PI's USB, power from the wall for the miner.

Downloaded and installed minera_latest.img file.

Powered up the 5-chip, booted up the Pi, everything looks normal.

Logged into the dashboard setup pools and my workers credentials -  / failover / set speed to 850mhz (safe level)

Under "Local Miner Settings"

There are a lot of choices for "Select your preferred miner software".

CPUminer (GC3355 fork)
BFGminer 5.x (Official)
CGminer 4.x (Official)
CGminer (Dmaxl Zeus fork)

then the "Preconfigured miner options" which is a sub-menu of options once you "Select your preferred miner software".

All these choices and no idea what to select.

I've used CGminer and BFGminer on the PC, so I have some idea on those 2 programs, but which should I use for my Gridseed 5-chip dual miner via minera dashboard??

** keep in mind that these are factory overclocked and locked to LTC mode (BTC mining permanently disabled) **

I tried a few different options (pre configured miner options and miner software , and I can see the miner on the dashboard, but it does not show Pool Hashrate - Error/Rejected rates - Last Share.  The pools I added all are green and Alive.

I'm concerned that I may nuke my miner, so if anyone could please assist me it would be GREATLY appreciated.

Depending on the OS the file with the info can be different.

Have you tried simply reseting the network cable ?

Pi seems to crash after about 1-2 days, how can I investigate/fix this? The hashing stops and I can't access the IP but the light on the Pi are still on and blinking.

I've just set it to restart the system every 24 hours hoping that's a cure. Any ideas why this happens though and does it happen to anyone else?

I cant get it installed right on pi with jessie but I can get it installed on wheezy but I can get wifi to work on wheezy. any ideas

Why do you install it manually? Use the image instead http://getminera.com/download/latest and try to read something here for the Wifi problem https://github.com/michelem09/minera/wiki/Configure-Wifi

They are right if the miner software is not the right one for that miner but for another version of that miner then it won't work right it may work in minera but not the right speed . i put my A 4.1 back on minera i actually like iit more then the Avalon 4.1 controller software  but i could not use cgminer 4.9.2  i had to take it down one to 4.9.1 even after comping it right it would not clock right with 4.9.2, so, i read the read  me for that version of CGmiiner and it seems they gave  A6 support only in 4.9.2 for any thing complied as Avalon4 it only works with A6 there was no switch i could fine to turn on  A4/4.1  once you enable it as Avalon4 it see anything as A6 with  the Avalon4 setting and 4.9.2  the lower models should work as usually it does show it as A4 but runs it or tries to run it as A6.

I went to 4.9.1 which has no A6 support according to the readme and now im hashing fine and it all works well in minera not sure if that is why it doesn't work with 4.9.2 and under hashes and runs in general like shit , at this point it's not a big deal, there wasn't much more done to 4.9.2 any way that maters or should to me, right now .

SO, as long as the miner software supports that miner it should just work with minera as Ive said before and a few others have . Smiley . why im posting it again  i run in to a issue as i said above . Smiley . wanted to share it.

This is excellent software, thanks for your hard work! If I ever hit a block you'll be getting a donation from me.

Alternatively, you can set minera to hash for the author with the local miners for a certain amount of time each day.

I find this a very useful way of donating which is automatic and doesn't cost much to us in the end Smiley

I've set my 3 minera to hash for some time for michelem.
They're small miners (4Ghs/96Ghs/150Ghs) but I hope it helps a bit.
