I do think you have enough amount to start trading in localbitcoins,0.5 bitcoins for the start is more that enough amount to start. Then if you are getting some profit and experience then surely you can increase the amount for trading.
Yeah its enough but you can be still start in small amount if you are just newbie and trading you should trade in small amount.. to learn and experience of losing or making a profit until you successfully know some strategy before you can increase your investment in trading.

I will be using LocalBitcoins, if I have 0.5 BTC I can sell up to 85% of that in my own advert then the rest on another person's advert. Is there a way to make a profit this way? Or is 0.5 simply not enough to start with?
In my own opinion there are no minimum amount of trading you can start tradings if you already had ico's from signature campaigns and use that to start tradings. You don't need also to had big capital for trading you can buy cheap coins and wait till the price goes up it always really does be patient.

As quoted by the above mate trading is possible without any sort of minimum value. Such a trading is possible only through forums and other discussions. These days lots of trading as well exchange websites have existed, which had made trading easier. Each website have their own trading minimal amount by which one can start trading and gradually increase the capital upon learning more about trading and different techniques involved.

I want to open this question  as there are a couple of traditional traders that have no idea about  how bitcoin works.
They use Metatrader 4 and  trading gold, USD, EUR, JPY, CNY, CAD, AUD, CHF, etc.
They have no idea that they can earn more with altcoins.

What would you do? Teach them about bitcoin  and crypto in general or design a coin especially for them to play around?
What is the need to have a separate coin for their trading.
If they want to make use of the potential and advantages of bitcoin and alt coin trading, it is their responsibility to learn new things and get into this market. I believe once more people are coming into bitcoin trading from other types of trading, we are going to see very tough competition with significant raise in trading volume.
thats what we will going thru as many traders are already engaging with btc to alt trade much more to come competition and knowledge is what we need so either ways we cant stop this things to happen let them in and we should prepared.
Yes, it is going to be very tough competition for the existing bitcoin and altcoin traders when other type of traders are coming in. But, with the respect to all kind of trading, having more volume is always good as market will have more fluctuations to make use of it. Being a trader I am also love to have high volumes so that I believe I can reach my target so quickly.

if your want to trade btc, i think 0.5 btc is enough for get return from trading about 1-10$/day. increase your capital for get more return if you trade btc. but if you trade altcoin 0.5 is more than enough. i feel altcoin can make you get a lot of income more than btc. but of course it's high risk too so be carefully.
Well, for a beginner is 0.5 BTC guess it was too much. perhaps for a beginner can start trading from 0.1 BTC, you can learn from it, and when you've mastered how to play the correct trading, you can raise capital bitcoin will you use to play trading. Well, I guess it's better than playing with bitcoin trading lot for starters
I think that is too much fot the begginer coz when i start trading i start a very small amount for me to learn how trade and my first capital is 0.03 i start to buy a coins but my btc is getting smaller so i ask someone why my capital get difisit he said i do a wrong move then he teach how to trade after that i recover my lose then i'm gaining a profit.

Why we will need to design a coin specifically for these traders? Especially when the hypothetical persons that you are describing have not shown an interest in understanding something that is already in front of them.

yes that is a fact that its up to you that you can start trading with any amount, but still in my opinion you should start trading with some good amount of bitcoin so that you can get chance if you lost money in trading to recover your lost.

The Amount With Which You are Trading Is Enough For Trading But As You Explain the Method Above Is Profitable But I Am Not Sure That You Make Profit Definitely Because It Depends Upon On Which Rate You Bought Btc And On Which Rate You are Selling It......

You can start trading with any amount really but if you want to learn trading in a steady pace then a capital of 0.5 will be beneficial.
Trading with lower amounts seem counterproductive and just waste alot of chances that you could otherwise take.

If you want to trade altcoins then 0.5BTC is good enough to start getting your feet wet, just remember if possible do some very small trades at the beginning so you familiarize yourself with whatever platform that you wish to use.

0.5 btc to start trading is too much dan trade altcoin no need to have a lot of money, 0.01 or 0.1 is enough
its not about how much you have money, but its all about knowlegde and experience

I guess maybe to a minimum no. but we altcoin new trading using the price range of tens until hundreds sathosi. because I never, trading with BTC but little benefit for me three times. but if we are trading using the new altcoin we have to be careful too because the risk is quite high. if you have the capital mending trading coins that are familiar and reasonably good graphics
Newbie usually ask this question because they want to start trading using the minimum amount just to try it, of course if you are not good in trading and you luck the experience you would not put a big amount of money, you will lose for sure as you are like gambling base on your luck and gut feel.

i think it depend on the investment that where you want to invest, if you are going to invest in alt coin then its ok you can do trading with a very very little amount of bitcoin. but if you want to invest in gabling then you have to invest a good amount of bitcoin.

Gambling is not an investment, as it is almost certain you will lose all your initial input, the only difference is the period.
Still there a people call the gambling is an investment... maybe he needs for learning again about the differences of betting and investing. but it's not about for put a little or bigger for starting the trading, this is about the decreasing a risky for a new trader.

if you want trading altcoin no minimum amount
this low capital money is work
0.5 bitcoin trading altcoin is enough to get much profit
You don't need 0.5 bitcoins to start trading ,maybe you can afford 0.5 and it is low amount for you but for others it is very hard to have and to earn . 0.01 and up is good amounts also any amounts that you have .just learn to trade and to experience what trading is .its not all about how much will you spend .its best if you know where to spend it.
