It's because he's promoting a different group buy from the one he had last time with the SP 30 which was 4,500 if you had a previous purchase with another ASIC company. If I can't get the scrypt within a certain time limit, I'm not buying anything. Probably just gonna get a few of the lightning ASIC 90 MH miners because they're shipping now and they are legitimate,

Actually from the spondoolies group buy, it was under 1,000 per th. Essentially it was really cheap and they said it was possible to overclock up to 6.5 TH. It is actually a much better deal, but I'm into scrypt now.

I love scrypt - so many coins to pick from - lots of opportunities to make $$$

they group buy didn't look like such a great deal though - at least the one in the bottom of that guys signature...that's he's promoting all the time.

yeah!

that is what they've been quoting right from the start - better to be realistic than lie like so many of these companies do then incur the wrath of the public.

for $44/mhs (scrypt) I don't mind the wait and plugged it into my calculations when making the decision to buy or not. To be honest I don't mine LTC or Doge so I could care less about their difficulty levels 10 weeks from now, I mine mostly new coins that have large upsides.

the scrypt  miners are slowly inching down toward the $100/mhs mark so it will take a quantum leap before they get to $44/mhs but may by the time these units arrive - regardless - time will tell.

It won't take a quantum leap in order to jump from 100$/mhs to 44$/mhs. You are comparing GPU-s to ASICs, not ASICs to ASICs. Last year in bitcoin mining we had a very rapid decline in prices. I'm expecting that too when it comes to scrypt since more companies will release their own chips very soon.

by who?

give me one example please.

and I'm not comparing gpu's to asic - I'm comparing asics to asics....

you can't even begin to compare gpu's to asics - it's like comparing goats to cheetahs

I'm not good with scrypt asics since my main focus is SHA256 asics, but you should know more than me. I know that Alpha Technology provides a Viper miner which is 90Mh/s for $9100  and the Zeus Miner which provides 72Mh/s for $9999. Also don't forget about KnC with their Titan and Mini Titan which is already better than 44$/mh/s?

I am sure that there are more, but I don't know them. Even if they have the same pricing expect a reduction in prices from everyone in order to get more sales.

72mh for $9999 is $138/mh

Viper - 90 mh for $9,100 is $101/mh

the Mining Asics Units at $44/mh is less than half the effective price of the other units and they're saying 125MH/machine is the MINIMUM and will probably be higher.

But no mention of KnC Titan and Mini Titan which are better than 44$/mhs?

And while you are praising their BTC miner you need to know that they are double the price/GH compared to Spondoolies Tech's SP30 miner.

you are confusing their scrypt miners and bitcoin miners

if we're talking bitcoin - their 6ths unit is $9,999 therefore it's $1,666/Ths

how much is spoontoolies per/ths $cost?

What is your expected delivery date for your scrypt miners from MAT?

between 7/21 & 8/15

Wow, thought it'd be sooner.  Quite a ways off.  Usually a good rule of thumb is if it doesn't ship within a couple weeks, stay far away.

Well, good luck with that order and hopefully they come through in that time frame.

well I do not work for the company, but I do have two scrypt miners on order and Marc told me they would be at the Vienna BTC Show next weekend showing off this new machine and he told me it would be mining there so people will be making videos of the unit hard at work and marc told me they would too very soon.

Not hard for a scammer to tell you they will be at some Bitcoin conference or other. It proves nothing at all.

In fact I have seen another scammer use exactly this technique: "I will be at so and so Bitcoin conference next week where you can see my hardware mining". Turned out to be a scam.

Why would anyone pay without first having proof??

not only will they be there - but be there exhibiting their unit and of course you are welcome to stop by their offices in Denmark - others have.

people will have pay first after having done what they consider to be adequate due diligence and be first in line to receive the most cost effective miner made to date.

I would say the fact that you were the forum member who started the other thread advertising this manufacturer (https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/mining-asics-technologoes-6-ths-bitcoin-miner-first-pics-609277) is unusual to say the least...

Are you associated with this company?

no

How come you're the only one hyping them up then?

So far they only have one pre order customer(you).  No one else in the forum has ordered.

how do you know that no one else on the forum has ordered? do you work for them?

I'm not hyping them - I'm merely posting what I know to be facts at his point in time. The pictures are a fact - the video is a fact.

they're attending a show next week with their miner - that's a fact.

I have two scrypt miner on order from them - that's the extent of my relationship with this company aside from doing my due diligence on the individual involved and their backgrounds before ordering.

I figured I'd just share the news with all of you - although it seems there are some that really don't appreciate me sharing it and have been down right hostile and accusatory - and I can't figure out why - because I've never done anything to any of these people.

I wonder why they feel so threatened by the existence of a new piece of mining hardware - perhaps they have some sort of hidden agenda?

Doesn't their hostility make you wonder too?

If you want to believe I have some sort of ulterior motive - that's certainly your right, but I invite you to come visit me in my office in Chadds Ford, Pennsylvania and look for mining hardware or any indication that I work for this company. Far from it, I'm just an IT guy with a regular job who likes to mine and like computer hardware and happens to like the company I chose to provide me two pretty fast scrypt miners soon.

what's wrong with endorsing a company you believe in and have faith in - believe me - after being jerked around by a number of chinese scrypt miners - these guys are a breath of fresh air and it's refreshing to know real business people are involved in the industry who understand how to treat their customers., instead of a bunch of shysters.

Trust me - I was really holding my breath the day I wire transferred off my deposit to Denmark but over the past several weeks I've come to have faith they'll deliver - hey - if they don't shame on me and there will be no worse critic than myself - but for right now - I'm giving them the benefit of the doubt.

I also say really nice things about Simon at Hashra - I've bought several items from him and have one of his new 24 MHS units on order which I hope to have by the end of the month. I endorse him also because he's been straight up with me, honest, communicative and not beyond answering some tough question I've had for him.

Yea, good luck with that.

You won't win with pre orders, no matter what you tell yourself.

Terms and conditions, what's that?  Delays?  What, you didn't read the fine print where it says pre order don't guarantee a delivery date.  Q2/Q3 of year 2014 you say?  Might as well be 2015
