I guess this could be the future, since less and less people use a computer and more an more people use smartphones and they become more and more powerful.

It's possible. We just need to make a technological leap in the technology of battery production. Modern mobile processors are very powerful and constantly improving.

After reading all thread I was more assured in my opinion - Electroneum is a useless project. Guys, we are really missing something in this world! Electroneum tokens made x20 profit when hit the market! What is wrong here? How can we evaluate projects now?

Dont follow crowd if you dont want to get same result as their Wink Electroneum project has good features and mining on go is second best offered feature for those who are really busy and wanna to make profit with mobile.

Would you be interested in a cryptocurrency with its own blockchain that can easily be mined on both android and iOS phones?
Absoluteley! I think that would be a great step ahead.
Also, a feature that lets you connect friends & family's phones together to build somehow like a mining Network - "pool" would be soooo nice.

I think, it is not so good idea. Mining on Mobile Phone will require a lot of power and quickly defuse your phone. It will not be convenient

I agree, our phone cannot handle enough power for mining but Samsung has been developed Bitcoin mine using a number of Samsung Galaxy 5s and they're mining a lot of Bitcoin per hour. Imagine, the power required by a smartphone is lesser than the Bitcoin miners we know today.
But doesn't mean that you're going to use your phone regularly and at the same time you're mining, it doesn't pretty work well. Because mining must run 24/7 while the battery charger is connected.

That would require a lot of good specs. But right now I don't think any phone can do that.

It's possible indeed because Samsung has been created a dedicated Bitcoin miner out of numbers of older Samsung Galaxy 5s but it will require a good setup as I saw their post and videos in YouTube, that's really more complicated than setting up a couple of GPUs in a single computer.
Search for it, you'll be amazed

Well mobile mining is ok as long as they're few miners in an Altcoin. For me the difficulty of Bitcoin mining is very high that's why mobile doesn't suit but if an Altcoin doesn't require large amount of hash rates then our phone can handle the operation.
Mining Bitcoin requires the best, fastest and more efficient because there are too many transactions happening in every second and there are too many Bitcoin miners around the world so our phone cannot compete that huge scale of mining.

I don't think it is worth mining on a mobile device, not enough power or resources dedicated unfortunately, but it would be an interesting concept if it were possible.

It's an interesting idea but in reality most people won't use their mobile phone to mine, maybe a select few.

How can mobile successfully contribute mining power that are need to the pool for mining. We are talking of tetrabite of hash need for fraction of bitcoin mining. You guys should forget this pipe dream.

I'm all in for mobile mining. The technology might me slightly immature but its already in the experimental phase. It is also good for recycling old phones. All better for the environment.

I suppose most everybody thinks that mining on mobile Android or iPhone is not possible (me too, by the way). Mobile stuff is not powerful enough, and the battery life is short.

However, no one can say "definitely, not!". It might happen one day and I would be interested in mining my altcoins at my phone. For example some kind of time mining.

Yes its interesting indeed. I think electroneum is the only one that offers that as far as i know. But i checked their website and its is not live yet. Well if you think about it mining in pc its gonna need a strong gpu and will use up too much power. I don't think the mobile phone can handle such.

Of course the power of phones is growing very quickly. But the capacity of the batteries stopped growing. Modern phones have to be charged 2 times a day with active use. With Mining it will be 3 times or more. The very idea of mobile phone mobility is lost.
Yes, it's a mockery. I charge my phone 2 times a day.
It really annoys me. I have  "ancient" nokia, I charge it once a week (it is 7 years old).
