SavageMine tnx.   Turns out Avast antivirus was blocking the miner groups from listing in the group config.

I'm tired of recording rewrite with a system as crappy as this, then updated to Ubuntu 18, the system was crap. if I want to change the miner, the disgrace in the mining starts, real garbage of the trash .. coming out of this damn paid platform

How do I edit the miner options on a group that is already created? There use to be a page that listed all the groups and a gear icon to change the miner. The version I have now 3076 doesn't list any of my groups or provide away to edit them? Nothing shoes up in the  Groups Config page, even when I do a search. Some kind of bug???  Very frustrating.

Good day.

If you click on Group Config on the left navigation menu, on the far right of each Group that's already created will be the gear icon along with Reload, Reboot, Delete and Default. If you no longer see these icons, you may be using a web browser that's blocking those types of things. So, maybe try Chrome and/or Firefox just to see what's up.

Hope this helps!

Well windows works fine with these setting, never saw flickering ... solved some initial scrypt cause overclock, but seems no driver for wifi and gpu. Pass for root/user? ... found in topic, tnx.
How to remove these initial scrypts as seem that flickering and crashing OS keeps going?

Hey all!

I made a video (livestream) on adding an unsupported miner in smOS using the BEAM miner (opencl-miner-1.0.52). Danny Greer should get all the credit. I just made the video using his script.

I just downloaded a fresh copy of SMOS from smos-linux.org and successfully imaged it to USB using Etcher.

Try the correct smOS download location: http://download.simplemining.net/
I don't think smos-linux.org is the same thing as simplemining.net.

I had an older version of SMOS (installed in the summer) running fine for months.
But when trying to mine different coins I couldn't get other miners working....there were various issues
So I decided to reinstall.

I just downloaded a fresh copy of SMOS from smos-linux.org and successfully imaged it to USB using Etcher.
I'm simply trying to get booted off a USB and the current issue is Linux freezes during the boot with the following error:

[  OK  ] Started Update UTMP about System Runlevel Changes.

There are some suggestions to bypass the error but I cant get to the command line to do so.
I can get to root via recovery mode but it wont accept my password (tried blank, password, miner, donate, my email)

I haven't even plugged in the GPUs yet.  Just trying to get-up on bare bones HW
I have a MSI Z270 SLI PLUS Mobo.....4GB Ram....Pentium bG4400 3.3 GHz CPU......EVGA SuperNOVA GOLD 750W PS
I did all the BIOS settings shown here https://simplemining.net/page/help

I'm really stuck on this one and appreciate any help from the hive here.

Thanks
