Hi all,

I´m having a strange issue mining on claymore eth:

Since 2days ago, the miner program restarts every 5-10 minutes, with no gpu errors, speed dcrease on any gpu or something like that.
It only happens with claymore ethereum, 11.5,11.4 ...  Any problem with sgminer, claymore xmr or other miners.

This is a 10gpu rx470/570 rig, asrock h110.

Any ideas?? Anyone had this issue before?

Hi!

Do you guys know how SMOS manage virtual memory? Someone in claymore´s thread ask me about it for this issue... Is that important with rx 4gb gpus?

is there a way to change the GPU's LED colors in simple mining? Oddly enough , have 2 zotac 1080 ti's that display red led and one that displays a blue pulsing led. Or, can they be changed in windows, would that change be carried over to SMoS?

You can change them in Windows and they will keep their settings in any other OS. Worked for my Zotac 1070ti Amp Extreme's.

Thanks! I'll give it a shot. In Windows, which software did you use?

FireStorm_V2.0.0.026E (for GTX 1070 Ti AMP Extreme only) There should be other versions on the Zotac site.

Zotac's website shows the same version for GTX 1080 TI AMP Extreme, so i'll give it a try. Thanks!

Don't know if anyone has gotten wifi to work but I have with one of my old dongles:

Ssh into your rig and run these commands:

Quote
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get upgrade
sudo apt-get install network-manager
sudo service network-manager start
sudo nmgui

From there you can choose your wifi and enter creds.  This isn't a should you run wifi post, but you can if you need to.  For one of my rigs I have to run wifi and this has been solid for a week.

Not all dongles are going to work.  I have two and only my old linksys dongle seemed to work correctly.

Disclaimer:  I hold no responsibility for what happens when you run those commands, but they should be safe.  Like I said, my rig has been fine afaik.
I have been using this Netgear AC1200 Range Extender for over a month and have had no lost connections. I just use a short cat6 cable from the extender to my rig.

Vega support we are curently doing some tests. Meaby ... but this gpu is pretty fucked up ....
Those xmr miners are for monero fork in deed Smiley
I will also release amd-stak but need little more time.

The storing logs and debugging is something that i want to make pretty in near future becasue it is something that should be done long time ago.
But we needed to make some other optimizations first in our php code.

Anyone else having this issue?

W10 works like a charm when i boot up.

https://prnt.sc/ixut0dhttps://prnt.sc/ixut0d

- Ethernet cable is working, already tried different cables, but the one that it has worked on W10.

- This happens since first boot

- Config.txt has my email

- The rig doesn't appear on Rig list to set up the group for it

- I think it doesnt have internet, because on first boot it doesnt update the miners or simplemining itself

- already tried build 1146 and 1143 on different usb and sticks

- 4G is enabled and GEN3 on Bios

- Running lastes Bios for MSI Z270-A Pro v15

Still getting the same error

I'm running 5 - Rx 570, and 1 Rx 470

in Bios, make sure your LAN is enabled? Also, most of the content i see online, recommends GEN2, at least for Nvidia cards, I'm not sure if it's the same for AMD. i saw someone else with an earlier post, that their router wasn't allowing access, they had to change something in their router settings. i'm sure if you search "router" in this forum, it won't take long to find.

When we change miners do we save all miners on USB stick or we save just last one we choose? Is there any way we can delete old versions of miners we don't use anymore and free some space on USB stick? I have 16Gb one.
When miner is used for the first time then it is downloaded to usb stick permanently.
Curently miners are never deleted.
We have about 2,5 GB of free space and the miners take about 2-4 MB each. Optiminer has 200MB, so total it will not exceed even 500MB.
In some time i will make some script that will be erasing old miners if total space used by miners will take more than some amount of Megabytes.
But this feature i will make later as curently it is not needed.

So, all are stored and not beeing deleted at all curently.

Ok. Then low space on USB is not my problem with RVN. Great about that future script. Is there any chance to somebody help me with RVN? I allways have error when I choose sgminer-brian112358-x16r-v0.0 and same is with sgminer-gm-aceneun-x16r-v5.5.5.
[08:52:01] Started sgminer

Maybe I do something wrong? I don't know what this commands meaning...

Do you have onboard graphic card ?
I think I have Gygabite GA-970A-DS3P so I thing there is no onboard graphic card. I have to check model to be sure.

EDIT:
It is 970A-DS3P and I don't see any onboard graphic card.

Hi, I got about 16 rigs, some of them with 1070 and some with 1070TI, I have huge problems with OC, some of cards have default settings like that:

ETH: GPU0 26.810 Mh/s, GPU1 31.591 Mh/s, GPU2 31.531 Mh/s, GPU3 31.585 Mh/s, GPU4 31.637 Mh/s, GPU5 31.387 Mh/s, GPU6 31.477 Mh/s, GPU7 31.514 Mh/s, GPU8 31.599
 Mh/s, GPU9 31.653 Mh/s, GPU10 31.611 Mh/s, GPU11 31.624 Mh/s

what can I do to fix it?

What are the coins can be minned in X16 algorithm

Reading the whitepaper the MIT devs created X16R algo specifically for the RVN coin - and to be ASIC resistant.

The X16R hashing algorithm consists of 16 hashing algorithms operating in chain
fashion with the ordering dependent on the last 8 bytes (16 nibbles) of the hash of the
previous block. The algorithms are as follows:

0=blake
1=bmw
2=groestl
3=jh
4=keccak
5=skein
6=luffa
7=cubehash
8=shavite
9=simd
A=echo
B=hamsi
C=fugue
D=shabal
E=whirlpool
F=sha512

Example:
Previous Block Hash:
0000000000000000007e8a29f052ac2870045ae3970270f97da00919b8e86287

The final 8 bytes: 0x7da00919b8e86287

Each hex digit (nibble) determines which algorithm to use next.

cubehash -> shabal -> echo -> blake -> blake -> simd -> bmw -> simd -> hamsi ->
shavite -> whirlpool -> shavite -> luffa -> groestl -> shavite -> cubehash

Tytanick thanks for your support and all that you do for us...

I would like to try mine Ravencoin. Can somebody please let me know what wallet is best to use and what command in SM I have to use to mine it.

Thanks a lot for your help guys.

Also I want to know can I use same OC settings or something else is better for raven? I have Saphhire Rx580 8 Gb rig.

Cheers.

Link contains all the info you'll need for wallet.

https://medium.com/@bryceyoung0/how-to-mine-cpu-ravencoin-rvn-fed34428315f

SMOS Config

-k x16r -o stratum+tcp://cryptopool.party:3636 -u YOURWALLETADDYHERE -p x

Change pool to whatever youre gonna use.
GL

I use the official Raven-Core wallet and Cryptobridge Decentralized Exchange for buy/sell RVN/BTC

Thanks guys!

I did try this and I get this error:
[08:44:36] Started sgminer 5.5.5-gm-a

This is what I used in SM:
-k x16r -o stratum+tcp://cryptopool.party:3636 -u RL9gZ42JHaGgE5cGvA5c3VoR3doRsUWjKU -p x

I did try with sgminer-brian112358-x16r-v0.0 and sgminer-gm-aceneun-x16r-v5.5.5

Are you overclocking and undervolting your cards?  Ive noticed x16r doesn't really like it, so running all stock settings.  Once you get it running then adjust your intensity settings.  20 is working well for my MSI cards. average 7 Mh/s each.

For BEST results

For AMD Cards / sgminer variants ACENINE or BRIAN
Add these to your sgminer command line.....  -I 21 --thread-concurrency 1024 --gpu-threads 2

For NVIDIA Cards - ccminer fork - Enemy
use this in your password field, -p x d=16 -i 19

Thanks I will try that. What OC settings are default in SM for Saphirre RX580, 8 Gb?

So if I get you right this should be my command in SM in Brian miner:
-k x16r -o stratum+tcp://cryptopool.party:3636 -u RL9gZ42JHaGgE5cGvA5c3VoR3doRsUWjKU -p x -I 21 --thread-concurrency 1024 --gpu-threads 2

I have 5 GPUs.

Getting the same issue on 16 gb USB but works fine on 32 gb SSD. Seems a hard drive memory issue rather than OC issue.

This can be real issue.... Now I get this info
[08:52:01] Started sgminer
[08:52:01] bin boot dev etc home initrd.img lib lib32 lib64 libx32 lost found media mnt opt proc root run sbin srv sys tmp usr var vmlinuz zero_free_space.sh using Jansson 2.7

@Ty
When we change miners do we save all miners on USB stick or we save just last one we chose? Is there any way we can delete old versions of miners we don't use anymore?

I am having same issues. I think its about onboard graphic card.
