Hi all:)

I am quite new at this but so far i like SMOS better then the rest i have tried.

I need some help with a particular config as i can not seem to get it working - must be something stupid simple which i am not doing.

So far i used ethermine, 2miners, woolypooly and all went ok.

Now i want to try f2pool and i'm literally stuck - and i've spent some hours on it Sad

i want to mine CFX on f2pool.  So i made an account on f2pool - account name sunday01 lets say.

Configured SMOS like this, using nbminer:
-a octopus -o stratum+tcp://cfx.f2pool.com:6800 -u sunday01 .$rigName --api 127.0.0.1:22333

All i am getting is
"octopus - Login failed: Timeout!"

I have tried everything i could think of, no go.

Can someone please help me make this f2pool stuff work ?

Thank you Smiley

Miners update
- t-rex-v0.24.2 (Autolykos2 enable LHR unlock functionality. Ethash, autolykos2 add LHR unlock "auto-tune" functionality (enabled by default, see --lhr-autotune-mode). Now the miner will try increasing --lhr-tune if it is stable at the current value, so you'll find out what the maximum LHR tune your cards can sustain without trying a lot of values manually. If you want the miner to stay at the LHR tune value you set yourself no matter what, use --lhr-autotune-mode off. Add ETH+ZIL mining mode with an arbitrary ETH pool (not proxying through a ZIL pool). New parameter --no-new-block-info to stop "new block" messages appearing in miner console. Fixed kawpow hashrate degradation in version 0.24.0 on some configurations)

Dashboard update
- improved advanced command list (it is now expanded by default)
- allow rigs button has now option to disable broadcasting your email for new unconfigured rigs in order to be added automatically
- improved network requests behaviour
- multiple dashboard fixes and visual improvements

SimpleMining images update
- SM-i021-5.10.60-1-a20.40-n470.74 (Official stable image. Supports all NVIDIA and AMD GPUs including AMD PRO 5600M)
- SM-i022-5.10.60-1-a20.40-n470.74 (New beta image with small fix of AMD RX 5000/6000 series GPU stability. Use this image if you have problems with those GPUs even with using newest stable image)
- Both images are available both in download section and via Reflash Command.

What are people using with 3090 cards and simple mining?  I tried with my 3090 and I got only 48mhs because I believe thermal throttling.  But same card in Windows I can get it to hit 120mhs.

Phoenix 5.4 or 5.7

t-rex

both work

myy evga 3090 3987 ftw3 get 112 mh

use

core  10

ram 800-950

power 280

temp 70

fan 70

here is a bat for phoenixminer-v5.4c

-eres 4 -pool daggerhashimoto.usa.nicehash.com:3353 -wal 14...gx3.09 -pass x -proto 4 -rmode 2 -stales 0

here is one for t-rex

..

t-rex-v0.24.0
-a ethash -o stratum+tcp://ethereum.viabtc.com:3333 -u phil........ve -w 10 -p x --pci-indexing --script-crash reboot.sh

try 800 for the ram

core 10

ram 800  add 10 and see if it does not throttle
power 280  I have found 270 and 275 are the knee and you drop off a lot and after 290 -295 there is never much upside

temp 70
fan 70

I have 10 maybe more

1-Aorus
1-asus strix
6-EVGA 3987 not sure if I have 5 or 6 of these---------- these do 112
1-evga 3998 kingpin------- a hybrid and the best card-- this does 115
2-gigabyte gaming
1- zotac

the room is 90 f

Miners update
- teamredminer-v0.8.6 (Firopow: new algo added for Firo's upcoming fork. Only testnet mining is available before the fork. Firopow/kawpow: rewrote tuning guide. Firopow/kawpow: slight hashrate improvements, mainly from choosing full gpu tuning by default and adding a micro-tuning mechanism for Polaris gpus (see --prog_micro_tune). Autolykos2: added high score support and display of submitted share difficulty.Fixed Radeon VII support on recent win drivers. NOTE: HBCC must be DISABLED for all Vegas. Fixed broken fan control for Navis on some driver versions)

Miners update
- t-rex-v0.24.0 (LHR unlock dual mining mode: You can now mine ETH (~30% of full speed) and other coins (~70%) simultaneously with LHR cards using their full potential. Available combinations along with memory requirements: ETH+ERGO (8GB+), ETH+RVN (8GB+), ETH+CFX (10GB+). Ethash "standard" LHR unlock changes and improvements: automatically detect LHR cards even if --lhr-tune is not specified, new parameter --lhr-low-power reduces power consumption in LHR mode at a cost of a slightly lower hashrate (start from --lhr-tune 68), change of --lhr-tune scale compared to the version 0.23.2, now it indicates a percentage of the GPU's full hashrate the miner tries to achieve. The old values in the [1-8] range are automatically mapped to the new scale, no configuration change required. Recommended starting LHR tune values: 71 in normal mode, 68 in low power consumption mode (this doesn't apply to dual mode))

Miners update
- gminer-v2.70 (Improved auto-tune for LHR GPUs, now miner speedup performance when GPU is steady. Removed --lhr_tune1 / --lhr_tune2 parameters, use --lhr_tune to tune LHR GPUs (value range is -10 - 10, old parameters ignored for compatibility). Display current --lhr_tune value and current kernel in statistics table)

Miners update
- nanominer-v3.3.13 (Significantly improved Ergo (Autolykos2) performance (~10%) on Nvidia Turing GPUs (RTX 16xx, RTX 20xx, CMP 30HX). Reduced Ergo (Autolykos2) power consumption on Nvidia GPUs)

Miners update
- lolminer-v1.32a (Fixed --mode LHR1 not starting in unlocked state on many systems. Fixed 3060 LHR V1 not starting in semi-unlock when the right drivers are detected)

Update v1319
- Added colors in Debug Console
- Fixed console colors for nbminer
- Added wlan interface mac address support if ethernet network card not present

Miners update
- lolminer-v1.33 (Better performance of LHR semi-unlock, 70%+ on GDDR6x cards (3070 Ti & 3080 (Ti) ), 71-72%+ on GDDR6 (3060 (Ti) & 3070), 81%+ on 3060 LHR V1 with drivers earlier then 460.39. Recommended driver for LHR v2 is 470.74. Less performance difference between low and high core clock then earlier versions. Cards are automatically detected if they are LHR - no more --mode switch required. In the beginning the miner will calibrate to your exact core & memory clocks. The total process takes 3-4 minutes total, one with rather low speed and the remaining time with speed closer to the final value. Try not to change any overclock after or during calibration, else the performance might be lower then expected! --lhrtune has now default value of auto for an automatic tuning. Results of automatic tuning will be displayed in stats after calibration is completed. Note: re-tuning of values used in 1.32a is required! Default --shortstats interval lowered to 15 seconds, default --longstats interval lowered to 30 seconds. More stable displayed hashrate on Nvidia cards when mining Eth. Fixed bug with processing old style --dualmode etc dualmine settings. Fixed some minor bugs of the API)

Miners update
- gminer-v2.69 (Added auto-tune for LHR GPUs (enabled by default, to disable pass --lhr_autotune 0). Increased reconnect tries on connection loss (--reconnect_count). Improved miner stability)
- nbminer-nebutech-v39.5 (Ergo new LHR mode for mining ERGO, enable it by manually adding -lhr option. Same as LHR mode in ethash, -lhr value represents expected hashrate to reach value percent of non-LHR GPU's hashrate, supports comma-seperated list to indicate -lhr value for each GPU, and -lhr -1 to disable. For GPUs with Hynix GDDR6 memory, LHR mode is not recommended for the poor performance. For GPUs with non-Hynix GDDR6 memory, e.g. 3060 3060ti 3070, start trying with -lhr 85. For GPUs with GDDR6X memory, e.g. 3070ti 3080 3080ti, start trying with -lhr 100. When mining lock is detected during ERGO mining, miner will automatically decrease -lhr value by 0.5, and continue mining. max decrease times is 10, which sums to 5.0. Optimized ergo Lower power consumption on Nvidia GPUs)

@Update v1318
- Added new PCI ID AMD RX 6000 series definitions

Thx a lot for your fast work. Now my AsRock 6900XTX OCF work like a charm.
You're welcome Wink

Yes. I and forgot to add in changelog the most important, that this addon of new definitions allow to OC work giving higher hashrate and much lower power usage on new 6900 GPUs.
For some users (rare cases) may be required rig reboot or even power off rig for a 1 minute for full support of those GPUs after this tiny, but "amazing" update.

Miners update
- nanominer-v3.3.12 (Fixed invalid ETH shares on some Nvidia RTX30xx. Added Verthash for AMD. Fixed Raven on Nvidia with 470.57 driver. Warn user if hardware accelerated GPU scheduling is not enabled. Reduced stale shares on Raven. Fixed crash when miner started with some AMD GCN3 and elder GPUs)

SimpleMining images update
- SM-i021-5.10.60-1-a20.40-n470.74.img.xz (New Beta image. Fixed support of newest parts of AMD RX 6900 Series GPUs. Support also RX 6600 and AMD PRO 5600M. Image has also newest NVIDIA driver 470.74 which fix some stability issues)

Miners update
- t-rex-v0.23.1 (NOTE: this version includes a couple of breaking changes: GPU ordering change. Option --pci-indexing is no longer support. Please remove this option from your miner options to prevent miner not working with next releases. Order GPUs by PCI bus id. You may need to change the settings that relied on GPU order. Multiple bug fixes)

Okay guys a really really weird issue over here
I'm running different models/memories RX 5700 XT's and they kept crashing. I changed everything from cables, risers, mobo, cpu, ram, tried one by one etc.. and the SDMA error kept hammering, the wattage on a random GPU would drop from like 100wish to 50wish.
So a guy suggested me I try phoenix miner version 5.4c and now the rig is working all good
I'm wondering what could be causing this?? Like i said i tried everything without a solution.. except this perfect miner i hope u guys dont remove it because its the only one working

Had a similar situation with TeamRedMiner, don't remember the version... All of my rigs runs ok with TRM but at some point one of them started crashing without changing anything. Switched to Phoenix Miner and no issue at all. After some updates of TRM switched back from PM to TRM for that rig and no crashing ever since. I don't know what was de reason.
Rig crashed after 2 days of uptime and then got multi reboots, totally odd. I don't even know what could be causing this
