I would like to ask a question regarding R and RX version of simplemining OS. I have a rig with one 295x2 along with 7 x 470. I just saw on AMD's latest drivers that they support both generations with their latest AMDGPU-Pro driver. Isn't there a way to use both generation cards with simplemining?

How can I mine 2 rigs at the same time? Should I create 2 different accounts ?

As you know some of us want to mine different coins in one account.

When will the feature will go online? Have you a time schedule for this?
(i think i red in the past you want to add different groups in one account)

Example:
2 rigs: Mining ETH
1 rid: mining ETC
3 rigs: mining ETH+SC

Hi everybody!

I'm brand new to smOS and im in test mode (i'm using ethOS on all my rigs), my rig is online with 6x GTX1060 (6G) OC GS GPUs @ 149 MH/s.
I search for a solution to overclock my GPUs for example:

Memory: GPU0 +900, GPU1 +1200, GPU3 +1150....

Does smOS offer this option, because i found only the way to overclock all GPUs.
Best regards

It doesn't supported yet, but if you can update your overclock script with this:
https://github.com/kusayuzayushko/oc_nv.sh

you can set up different values for each cards.

Any nvidia user manage to use power limit set up ?What ever I choose saying invalid wattage chose between 92.5w and ...

It works for me, you should use a power limit what your card can handle, try to use 95. If you have mixed cards, it won't work. You only can set up one power limit for all cards.

I normally use the ETH+SIA mode for dwarfpool.org(without custom config). Which works fine, but I wanted to change the -dcri parameter. So I wanted to use claymore 9.7 because it has a custom config. I copied the default config from ETH+SIA and changed just the -dcri parameter to 40, but it won't work in claymore 9.7. Now it only mines ETH.

The edited config is this:

-epool stratum+tcp://eth-eu.dwarfpool.com:8008 -ewal $walletETH.$rigName -esm 0 -epsw x -allpools 1 -mport 0 -dpool http://siamining.com:9980/miner/header?address=$walletSC&worker=simpleminer -dcoin sia -dcri 40 -mport -3333

Does anyone know what I'm missing?

tytanick please make image for Nvidia with 384.47 driver

Hi, take this simple steps to update your nvidia driver instantly:

First check your driver with this command: dmesg | grep NVRM
Output: dmesg | grep NVRM
[    9.430456] NVRM: loading NVIDIA UNIX x86_64 Kernel Module  375.66  Mon May  1 15:29:16 PDT 2017 (using threaded interrupts)

Than:

use putty login with root/miner1324
nvidia-uninstall
wget http://us.download.nvidia.com/XFree86/Linux-x86_64/384.47/NVIDIA-Linux-x86_64-384.47.run
sh NVIDIA-Linux-x86_64-384.47.run
i update it, but with all scripts GPU took only 2MH's, it works now without scripts. So i'm just waiting for new image

I have one 6 GPU rx-470 rig running just fine but I have a smaller 3 GPU-Rig that runs under windows but will not run under SMos. When it attempts to set the overclock settings it just freezes up and does not finish or go to mining. I have tried the alternate version of the OS but that doesn't work also. Any help?

I have four rigs, and my friend has 3 running at my house, same network. They have generally been fine using smos for the past month or so (aside from one of my rigs going red once or twice a day, but thats for another time).

A few hours ago all of our rigs have started constantly switching between green/yellow/red status. Its like a drag strip light tree.

All of the rigs have been turned off and back on, entire home network was unplugged for a bit then plugged back in one at a time. Nothing else in the house if having any connectivity issues.

Anyone have any ideas what is going on?

From the console after a reboot,

Remove dead screens with 'screen -wipe'.

my rig: 6* Zotac GTX 1060 mining edition (t/o output)
and i got the error
"No devices were found"
after started mining OS
everything else fine, i got this error ad OC screen
please help me
Are you using the image just for Nvidia cards?
Yeah, i use link for NV Series on homepage

not sure if P106-100 mining cards is supported already by the usb image.

No the current image does not support we need to install nvidia 384.4 beta driver for the p106-100 to work still figuring out a way to install the new driver in simple mining os
edit rc.local to disable all smos autostart.
and install 384.4
It works for me

can you help us install it ? by a more detailed steps you took ? newbie in linux
thanks
use winscp login with root/miner1324
edit rc.local
add # before "bash /root/utils/rclocal.sh &"
reboot

use putty login with root/miner1324
nvidia-uninstall

sh NVIDIA-Linux-x86_64-384.47.run

use winscp login with root/miner1324
edit rc.local
remove # before "bash /root/utils/rclocal.sh &"
reboot

after that, the card was found, but the speed they have 2 mh/s, dashboard, edit the settings did not react, how to fix it ?

I have the same problem. I also couldn't make the cards work with SMOS, but if you

"edit rc.local
add # before "bash /root/utils/rclocal.sh &"
reboot"

and start the miner manually, it works full speed (maybe you should run oc_nv.sh manually to overclock the memory). I know it's not the same as using SMOS, but at least it works.

Does anyone know if changing the root password disables updates/settings changes/etc. on a rig? I really don't like the idea of having my rigs set with default passwords, especially on the root user.
