Image is too big to fit on 8gb drive, please shrink it.
Please read howto on main page. its ok Smiley
Real usable space takes 6GB ut its clone of 8GB pendrive, so last 2GB are rubbish.
If error will occur at 80% + then its all ok. You ca boot it.
I don't see "howto". If you mean youtube video you write image on 16gb drive, but my drive is 7.4 so it can fit and HDD raw copy doesn't start.

on simplemining.net right after table with download.

HOWTO:
Renember that you can flash older version and it will be auto updated to newest
1. Download  HDDRawCopy - flashing tool

2. Download which OS you like in above links in table.

3. Use HDDRawCopy to flash image to pendrive or drive
(all data on Target drive will be deleted !)
When you will have error at more than 80% dont worry its ok.

Optiminer keeps locking up the rig. Won't let me reset unless I switch it off and back on. No oc on any cards. Has been working fine for the past few days. Locks up after about 10 min

As now you cant, there is only global options, not per rig, sorry.

Not chances even with script or on driver level?

[/quote]

you can only set global options not to reboot if ne gpu will crash:
Rest of gpus should be mining

-wd 0 -r 0 -epool stratum+tcp://............. -ewal 0x................... -eworker $rigName -esm 0 -epsw x -allpools 1 -mport -3333

Hi Tytanick!

How to disable cards?
In case if some is not working properly and hanging all the rig, and I'm away from place?

In Win I can disable device or control it in Claymore di - 123xxx...
But here it will affect all the rigs so will not be useful.

thanx!

Hi Tytanick - thanks the update on the miner and explanation of what reload and reboot.

Can I suggest a simple & brief dashboard on how many rigs online/offline, other key summary stats etc.

and... improve the kernel thing already. Speed is key in mining.

The overall structure of the miner is coming up nicely!

Most important (soon):
- newer kernel with speed boost

When i will have some free time:
- summary statistics
- per rig statistics / graphs
- some rig history (for example all reboots)
- grouping rigs and managing groups (setting pool, OC settings per specific group rigs)

Accually i have many tasks waiting regarding OS Smiley
Here are most of them.

I will have to say: this soft ware works great if you like Linux based miners and if asked which one would I use i would recommenced this one over any of the others first you have a lot of control or all most the same amount of control if you use Linux as your main OS and compile all the miners you self etc ....  sense i like windows more i use windows but from time to time do load this on a USB drive to try . i wanted say this is a really nice miners that started out bad but is getting better, which i honestly didn't think it would or get as good as it appears to be, it still won't replace windows for me.

thanks top .

Hi Tytanick,

What the difference between "Reload Miner program" and "Reboot Rig" -- and at what events do we need to use it?

Usually, I use "Reboot Rig" for best results -- ie restart from OS boot assuming this is will refresh all memory, CPU, GPU etc.

Thanks

Few inportant Infos about SM OS.

Reload miner: it closes existing miner, downloads config from simplemining and starts miner. This action is used when you change RED OPTIONS (pool for example).
Also if you change individual rig OC options, then reload occurs. But in kernel i think there is a bug in changing OC setting for second time.
So its better to restart miner after changing OC setting to see fresh real results.

Restart miner: It reboots rig using FORCE method - even if gpus is hanged it will reboot rig. This is

Also new kernels 4.9.1 and 4.10 gives 3-7 % speed performance boost in mining and also fix some OC problems.
After i will make shop for SimpleRigResetter i will do special button for upgrading kernel on selected rigs for everyone.
So you can expect some performance boost soon Smiley
I need to do more tests. And also i need to test new amd driver to see if they will make any difference or meaby kernel 4.9 has those drivers and thats why it has better performance..
Just not all at once because my time is eaten by too much tasks right now Tongue
Anyway i will move forward beta testing to test new updates faster and make simplemining even better.

I am also extending free period of using SimpleMining OS - it will be totally free for at least 1-2 months. Propably more.
I am still waiting for more users to come into my OS so charging 1-3$ would make sense Smiley
Also my fee concept could change, i am thinking about charging 1$ for basic functions and 3$ for better ones. Still i dont have time for this so it stays free...
Thx again for your support, i will move forward simplemining OS propably from march 2017 when i suppose i will have more time Tongue

very nice..

is there a way for me to upgrade the kernel?

Has anyone tried this with the Panda miner? I installed it now and got it to work - at an acceptable hash rate. But would be great to hear others experiences with it. The feature I am missing most is a profit switching option, or maybe I have not found it yet.

Not sure the fan % are correct as they are not linked to the GPUs as usual. Temp seems to be correct.

I cant seen to find a way to change pools individually on each rig, but only on all. If you have a lot of rigs one should be able to run them on different pools.

Very promising software I have to admit!

What would be recommended CORE and Mem MHz on RX 800?

May I ask how did you boot up SimpleMining USB from Panda miner?
