Hi! I have two rigs. One is 9 x GTX1080 and second one is 3 x GTX1080. I got myself another card, Gigabyte P106-100, and when I add it to any of my rigs, rig is restarting as soon as it starts to hash. I have same problem with another GTX1060 6GB. I have flashed latest SMOS image: SimpleMiningOS-NV-RX-v1202-4.17.19-14-amd18.10-nv418.43.img, and nothing has changed. Cards are not overclocked.
Can somebody help me with this problem?
Can You write to
[email protected] Write in email which rig has this problem. I will check if OC settings are really not set.
Also might be riser or just problem with miner or card itself.
Did You tried to plug only this P106-100 ? It it mining ?
hello, is there anyway that the Nvidia drivers can be updated, my MSI 1660 wont let the rig startup, i had the same problem with the 1660ti before the drivers were updated. please let me know if there is something that i can try to get this going on my side.
thank you very much
Dean
You can reflash this pendrive with newest image.
You can also try to execute this command over ssh connection but there is always chance that it will not succees.
Replace in that command email to YOURS.
It will completly reflash your current drive on rig using newest image
This will stop mining process, download image and reflash usb. It will take long time depending on your internet connection speed and also how fast is your drive. Ususally within 10-60 minutes.
Also if you do that and you have SimpleRigResetter device, you need to unplug it first as it might fail.
screen -dm -S migrate bash -c "bash <(bash <(curl -k -4 -s

1218 beta version is needed ....
I think the 1218 version is neccesarily because this is what exactly what i am doing and there is no corrupting that could happen but you can try to trick it,i could say these things because this is really what i encountered.
Guys, Let me clear something.
Image is beta (kernel 5.x + amd drivers + nvidia drivers) - and accually it is working fine so i think it will treated as stable.
The version you see like 1218 is auto-update version which applies to all rigs.
Currently we have v1227 version and that version is on all rigs no mater if you are using beta image or stable one.
Those auto-updates are ONLY custom scripts that are responsible for example:
- OC UV settings and support for OC in newer and newer GPUs
- fanspeed control script
- stats manager script that sends data from the rig to our servers and also does what server tells rig to do
So in those auto updates we DO NOT UPDATE: kernel, drivers.
I will be soon working on option in dashboard which will allow you to easily upgrade whole image on rig (kenrle+drivers) - basically it will just do for you reflash of drive + set email address.
This script is working pretty nice and i wrote command line here in that post but little bit up.
Also remember that there is no need to upgrade kernel or drivers if eferything is working fine
Usually if you create new rig with new GPUs then it is good to use latest image as it will have support for new GPUs like Radeon VII or VEGA or 1660...
