Any updates for the mintdice V.2? Its been a while but seems that there is no updates on the progress of migration to the V2.
Is getting close already or can we expect to know how much (in percentage) is the progress for the big update to V.2?
I think most users who have heard about this plan is still wondering while waiting at the same time.
As I've heard you will bring much more promotions when the v.2 is ready, will it be ready before new year or will it be next year? Just curious..

The mobile version has been completely finished for a while. Dice, slots and BitRocket are finished. What needs to be finished is the desktop version and plinko. And then bug/security testing. The 2.0 version will release with a variety of upgrades and features as well, probably most notably the rewards program release.

Timelines have been historically inaccurate for a variety of reasons, but as of right now, it's hopefully going to be done in under 2 months so I'd be surprised if it isn't pushed before next year.

Once it's released, the new games should follow relatively quickly since it's a scalable platform that allows rapid deployments (say 3x faster than normal). The order for that is slated to be SportsBook -> PowerMint Lottery -> Pyramid -> Castle Royale.

I have always heard about your limits going higher and higher in many places and I never got the full answer to this. Do I have higher limits if I lose more or win more or is it only depending on the wagering amount?

Like let's say I gamble 10 bitcoin as my first ever bet, on dice, for 2x bet and I win and now have 20 bitcoin, does that mean I will have higher limit? Or do I wager 10 bitcoin and lose and now have none but higher limits? Or maybe it doesn't change at all, as long as I wager 10 bitcoin the limit would go up without caring about the result? If that is the case wagering is the only thing that should matter and it would be lovely but if I am required to lose a bit first in order to recoup later, that is really cheeky by all the casinos Cheesy.

By the way I know you don't start off with 10 btc to start, I just wanted to give example.

The amount you can win on casino games is entirely based off of the house bankroll and has nothing to do with any individual player. It is 1% of the house bankroll for Dice and BitRocket and 2% of the house bankroll for slots and plinko. The house bankroll very approximately is 400 BTC at the moment. This, approximately again, makes the maximum win per bet for Dice/BitRocket at 4 BTC and Slots/Plinko at 8 BTC.

The wager win would actually decrease if you were to start winning because it's based on 1x kelly criterion. If you were to win 4 BTC from dice and reduce the investment bankroll from 400 BTC to 396 BTC, the maximum win would then be 3.96 BTC. The amount that you can bet though is unlimited. You could wager 100 BTC to win 4 BTC and you'll simply have very good odds of doing so. But you can't win more than 1% of the house bankroll on any individual bet. This has nothing to do with you winning or losing first, it's just a simple math equation.

If you are looking to place bets for wins bigger than 4 BTC, we can make a call for outside investment and probably get this limit raised for you, just send a message to myself or e-mail MintDice or anything else.

The only time individual player-by-player limits will occur will have to do with the Sports Book once that is launched.

Couple of weeks earlier they mentioned they are looking to release it before the end of this year but still there is no accuracy on it I guess because they are facing issues due to the pandemic so very small things take lot of time to get them done. I am also looking for the new games and curious about how it could affect the crypto gambling users.

Have you played Plinko lately?

Head over to MintDice.com and watch those dice tumbling down joyfully!

 Cheesy Grin Cool

The concept of using dice to add some entertainment is well done. Those twisting views  while waiting for the results added up for players who's playing plinko.
adding some twist really play good sign, creativity and making things that extending your desire to bring people inside the platform, though it's not really affecting the game but the fact that its gives some relaxing views is more than okay.

I've played your plinko game in the past and I have hit that max payout x1000 if I remember it correctly. I did not play it lately, but hopefully I can play it again as soon as possible. What I want suggest on your plinko game, how if you add more level on the game? As my last visit there are 3 level only while most other sites has more than that. Having more level based on its number of row will be more attractive imho as players has more options to play with more various number of max payout.

With regards to your statement that you offer a very competitive odds does it mean that you are also checking the odds of your competitors and make a little adjustment to your odds so you can have an upper hand?

I agree that odds are pretty important to all the gamblers but aside from that there are also other important factors that I am looking for a casino like instant deposit and withdrawals, no KYC if possible and the security of it can't be breach easily so we can assure that our money are in safe hands. Maximum bets per game really matters for me also as there are times that I feel like betting a big amount of money in favor to my favorite team.

By default, we'll have an odds spread and that can be set for global or individualized odds. As a completely overly broad and not what we are doing example, we could default to 4.5% for all games but make some games 4% and others 6% depending by the game type. These types of numbers will be influenced by what other websites are doing to a degree, yes.

Where we draw the lines will depend on a variety of factors. Betting sizes will also have global and micro restrictions. Betting sizes will have a default limit which will likely be smallest for new and unverified accounts. If an account chooses to do KYC (their choice), their limits may increase. As any user starts to place bets and develops a history with MintDice, their limits may increase or decrease globally or specific to certain game types on an account by account basis.

Ultimately, we're going to be OK with players winning (as we are with all our game types, casino games or skill games), so long as the overall volume we receive is net positive for MintDice and growing/sustainable if that answers your question better. What we can't do is have unlimited betting limits for everyone and low odds since that can't function as a business. Again, there will be trade-offs and we'll try to find a good balance to make everyone happy.

But it will require a lot of macro/micromanagement once we release it to the wild. What the fine details of all that looks like, time will tell. At least our UI will be quite pretty Smiley

Thanks, I'm glad that gets you and the others interested, that's exactly what we're looking for. We have a lot of measures in place to hopefully make it one of the better run sportsbooks out there. It will have a very good user interface as well, once implemented.

We're going to do our best to provide top quality anonymous betting services, but of course, with that comes certain risks. Ultimately, we'll do the best balancing act that we can provide.

Interface is probably one of the most difficult things to implement for a sportsbook. I like how it looks in some books but I have a hard time figuring out matches in others. The most important,,, for me, is that they all load easily and not too many selections, with a clean/fast function to search to get you there immediately. Ability to shuffle through leagues and countries too.

We agree. We're using a 100% customized / bespoke to MintDice sportsbook UI that we've built from the ground up. That unfortunately adds a lot to the time schedules for releasing everything, but we're always trying to do Bitcoin Casino projects the right way. Hopefully it looks nice to you when it's released (which will happen post 2.0, but will be the first project we work on and finish after 2.0 is released).

We want to be the one stop shop for everything. 100% provably fair, casino games, PVP games of skill, lottery games, bankroll investment, sports book all with a beautiful UI to match. It'll get there soon enough.

I'm sure they have the experts to implement it. The interface is the most important thing in sportsbooks but if Mintdice does it well even loading is not a problem then they have done it right, but they added that the pseudo sports will explode because many want. wait let's see if it will be like Stake.com which has added it first.

No it is not obviously, interface is indeed important but it is not the most important thing in sportsbook.
IMO the most important things are ODDS and offered markets.
Although interface can be the first weapon to attract players as players will be attracted if it has nice interface but they will look into the odds if they are going to bet.
So combination between good interface, good odds, many offered markets as well as promotion will be a great start for new sportsbook.
Just my two cents.

With odds, we want to offer very competitive odds while offering decent betting limits and the continuation of anonymous accounts. However, we also have a business to run and also can't allow our sportsbook to get run over by sharps (or else we could never open it in the first place). It'll be a balancing act that we'll have to modulate on the fly on both a global and individual basis. So I can't make any promises, but we're going to try to do what we can. We'll be looking for a lot of community input after it's release to improve the user experience from anyone, such as yourself.

Hopefully, the sportsbook is released before the end of the year, time will tell.

You're not wrong, you are very right in fact. All I can say is that development is tough. Very conservatively last year it was estimated the project would be done in April. Here we are in September and it hasn't released yet. Why exactly that is probably stems from many reasons but the #1 thing I can say about coding/development usually boils down to a quote I once heard that goes something like this:

The first 90% of the project takes 10% of the time. The last 10% of the project takes 90% of the time.

In my experiences, it's largely been like this which leads to a lot of skewed time lines. The most positive thing I can say is that our new platform uses a scalable architecture which should lead to more rapid and consistent releases. Meanwhile, from a technical standpoint, MintDice is very conservative. We take security extremely seriously from all vantage points. To date, we've not suffered a problem with a single vulnerability despite multiple attacks that come in presumably every day and we hope to keep that going forward which makes a lot of development "under the hood" so to speak and not visible to the public. But it helps keep your data and cryptocurrency safe among other things.

I too remember the 2.0 topic but it quite unfortunate that we were hit by the pandemic which slowed down everything in the world.Yes its better to build the perfect system no matter how long it will take than launching the platform with bugs and glitches which could cost a lot if its related to the bet results.

I would say that 2.0 has been a "topic" of discussion for a lot of months now, I feel like it was a thing way before the pandemic situation, so it must be somewhere close to one year now. Don't get me wrong I am not one to judge because I know coders and coding could be very very tough, you could build everything in a month but then have like one mistake and take another 2 weeks to fix that, things are not easy, you might need weeks to just find why something happens and what causes it, or one thing working perfectly in all operation systems while having trouble with windows xp or whatever. So, I do understand but one year is very very long period of time and maybe we could have been very very close if not already over by this time if you ask me.

Also really interesting was a literal 1:1,000,000 event happened today. Our Mint-Hurricane event rained on users not once but twice in a row with our MintRain program. A 1:1,000 event happening back to back which benefited a few of our users that were online and chatting at the time. Truly astounding odds on that, something we may never see again in history that gave some MintDicers some nice rewards.

Smart is not enough, there must be skills
Never expect this big updates since the site name itself us based on the dice game but anyways the new update is good since sportsbooks are now taking a big hit and the games are slowly coming back,  Provably the old users will be happy to see this updates.

Will follow the updates here and will try when sportsbook will officially open.
Even though their names are still with dice but updates are still being made so as not to be outdated, which is currently being developed, even many gambling sites add that sportsbooks can indeed get a big hit and the games that have been waiting for is this a good thing too? well of course old players will be enthusiastic about this news especially since Mintdice has proven to be one of the most successful gambling sites today and will add to sports with lots of support.

We will be adding a sportsbook as one of our first upgrades after the launch of 2.0. We are going to start writing some blog content related to sports betting to gear up for this.
https://mintdice.com/blog/optimize-your-bankroll-betting-with-a-basic-kelly-criterion-formula

Happy betting everyone.

I bet you this gets a lot of people excited. I am a dice player myself which is why we all got into this scene right? But that is more like a sort of hobby that is mindless and fun for us,,, while the ones that really get our adrenaline flowing is sports. For me anyway:)

Looking forward to the big blast, guys:)
