Surely the mistake would be to always take the cash out and this would literally prevent any big win occurring because you will cut every bet short not allowing it to play out.   I would ideally want to cash out half the bet and allow the other half to ride.   Your cash out could pay for the bet win or loss to take place and mean you cannot lose any of your original stake, this is the ideal.     My mistake would be a repeated one, planning to bet later but forgetting to do so and running out of time.

Recently I won from the lottery gambling where I should have won a big win but that didn't happen.

In a full week I placed a lottery bet with a relatively high bet, but it's a shame that that week I didn't get any wins at all, the numbers I placed didn't hit at all. So this is material for my consideration to continue playing with big bets for fear of deeper losses.

Well I agree with what you both say, in part if I have $200 that I won I think that is an indication at least for me to withdraw with profit of course there is the other part which is if I bet that full $200 to make at least 1200 usd is not a bad thing , but that risk implies something very Important that if it is lost, those 200 usd that we already had secured and tied up ready to be withdrawn will go away, it is a decision that is difficult for many , but I have it clear, if I withdraw it based on my criteria, based on my experience, I don't care if they later Classify me as fearful , or a Person who Does not like to take Risks , because that is Something that can also Happen.
