Here are the result for my picks for Bellator 290: Bader vs. Emelianenko 2

Ryan Bader VS Fedor Emelianenko ROUND 1 KO/TKO - WIN

Father time is not really kind to Fedor Emelianenko you can see that Emelianenko now struggles with his balance, but like what I have seen with what is happening to Glover Texeira their age has caught up to them, and there is no stopping the process of getting old, Emelianenko got out the balance with Dark Bader's punches and you can surely see that Fedor Emelianenko really can't keep up with The Dark Bader ending the fight with a bloodied emperor,

Johnny Eblen VS Anatoly Tokov ROUND 5 DECISION - WIN

What a Performance for Johnny Eblen securing his 1st title defense it was a unanimous decision victory, and you can see in the 1st round Eblen is pressuring Tokov in the corner, and with Precision strikes from Johnny Eblen those punches were accurate you will know that he was not throwing random punches and the judges were all for him in this fight,

Henry Corrales VS Akhmed Magomedov ROUND 3 DECISION - LOST

Well, the only loss that I get in this card, and I thought that the undefeated will still finish his fight unscathed but Henry Corrales got a great takedown defense and Henry Corrales surely is using his height and weight advantage so he could not be taken down by Magomedov, that is why he had doubted himself if he can takedown Corrales, and I have noticed that Akhmed Magomedov looks weak side by side with Henry Corrales, so for me, he needs to build more muscle or even strength because that is the way to win against guys with great takedown defense, you need to mull them with your strength,

Yup, I thought Fedor had somewhat of a chance before the event.  Lol.  Like Lewis I feel like they're just out there to fight and treating it more like a job and as a way to earn money now rather than going out there for the glory and the W then somehow getting a title shot.  I guess it comes with age.

Henry Corrales on the other hand, schooled Magomedov and showed him what's what.  I think the line was something over 3 to 1.  Bellator events used to have most of the favorites winning.  Now it looks like the books aren't as sharp as they used to.  Could be good to start paying more attention to it.

Like someone has expected other outcome from Fedor Emelianenko vs Ryan Bader fight. That is a naturel outcome of a fight between an old fighter against much younger. Age takes its all. You cant expect to be the same at 30 years and at 45 years. No matter how hard you work, no matter if you die in the gym, the age will be your only opponent against a younger and hungry fighter. Fedor must have ended his fighting career when he has changed his path from sport to politics. Wikipedia says that he is now a deputy, a coach and active professional fighter. A person cant be good at everything. Either choose something one, or be satisfied with average results.

Well, Fedor Emelianenko has surely used his time well in doing many things in his career not only with MMA but with some we surely are surprised to know about him, but in those years pass his strength is surely depleted and at some point, he will need to stop one career at a time that he can not hold anymore, and MMA fighting is the 1st one to go, surely Fedor Emelianenko was a great fighter for most audiences calling his name while he is going in the octagon, but that was his prime days because right now that prime days can not be replay again, this is the sad truth about getting old, but we will surely remember those years when he is winning inside the octagon, surely hs fans will miss that,

Fedor was at some point the greatest during his prime. This is the first MMA fighter that made me interested in the sport, people are shouting his name in every corner. But yep there is always an end to everything. It does look like he easily got out of balance and then the whole round is just on the ground. Even if you are capable of outsmarting an opponent, age prevents it physically.

It's like a ritual ceremony just when he announced his retirement. The names surrounding him are the few that I remember.

At some point, Fedor Emelianenko and his fans will surely remember at some point when Emelianenko was fighting his winning moments and his prime, there is no shame in losing this actually Fedor Emelianenko needs to be proud at that age he fights Dark Bader at some point in his life was he can not balance when landing a punch because that is what I see from him, we all know he will surely throw punches out of nowhere and at some point without any relatively any technical meaning to it, that way of fighting is not suit to his age now if he wants to win a belt in his age he needs to get advise from Glover Teixeira,

The disadvantage of Bader is that he is very straightforward. Everyone knows what he will do. Surprisingly he did no use his wrestling skills much  (he was very good during university, even got top places on national tournaments. such skill does not evaporate), but has switched to striking when he moved to Bellator from UFC.

I think the fight would end Bader by TKO. Fedor cant lose his habit of keeping hand close to belly and throwing unexpected punches. Such tactics  worked when he was younger. Now reflexes are not as used to be. Due to that he will miss a punch from Bader (not exactly accented punch or strong one), gets dazed and dropped down, and it will be a finish. The fight wont pass to second round. Fedor lately was never good for stamina, while Bader, if you look on score cards, often takes fifth rounds. Which means his tank is huge.

Well, you are right about it and right now Bader has won against the old Fedor Emelianenko and this is the last fight for the Legendary Fedor Emelianenko as he announce retirement with Bellator, the last emperor last walk looks very old now for me seeing him inside the ring with Ryan Bader I could really sense from that point of view who's going to win, Fedor Emelianenko wants to be the oldest champion if he wins this and at the same time wants to retire at the same time, just vacating that belt but Ryan Bader doesn't wants his reputation to be tarnish by Fedor Emelianenko's desire, finishing the old last emperor with a takedown ground and pound on the 1st round,

Call me crazy but I just made a bet on Fedor to win by KO or submission.
I don't see any value in betting on Bader with this odds and I can get big return if Fedor wins.
When heavyweight fighters like this fight it takes one strong punch to change everything, but I think Fedor learned a lot from his first fight with Bader.
Bellator prelims are starting soon and I think they are broadcasting some fights for free on youtube channel.

You are not crazy, since this is the last fight from Fedor is a wise move to bet on him, I know it will be a fight hard to win, but we know how crazy MMA is and how anything can happen, so, I still thinking Fedor is a good bet.

And you are right, the event is now on youtube:

I hope you all enjoy the event and win your bets. I already watched a couple of fights and the event is looking good.

We got Bellator 290 later, and I think I will make my picks and prediction for some fights so here it is,

Bellator MMA Heavyweight Championship

Ryan Bader VS Fedor Emelianenko

The stake odds for this fight are 1.28 for Bader and 3.40 for Emelianenko, for this match Bader is doing well so far he might have a zebra pattern record but the 2 consecutive wins he got are likely great matchups, while I am doubting Emelianenko surely got those 1 hit KO punch but he can also be in danger with those punch as well because Bader can surely wind up a great strike that can knock out Fedor Emelianenko, for this fight, I am really Doubting Emelianenko's age he is 46 now, and just like Glover Texeira this could surely end up bad for Fedor Emelianenko, so my pick will be Ryan Bader,

Bellator MMA Middleweight Championship

Johnny Eblen VS Anatoly Tokov

The stake odds for this fight are 1.34 for Edlen and 3.00 for Tokov, for this fight, Edlen is really sensational with a record of no loss but his recent winnings were all decisions I guess Edlen reach advantage can surely make Tokov pressured with that, this is the Middleweight so there will be some technicality in it and Edlen is sure to have that for me my pick is Johnny Edlen,

Henry Corrales VS Akhmed Magomedov

The stake odds for this fight are 4.50 for Corrales and 1.17 for Magomed, for this fight both fighters sure have decent wrestling but Akhmed Magomedov has the superior one Dagestan Wrestling so for me there is no 2nd thought on that my pick for this fight is Akhmed Magomedov,

Possible good spots for underdogs in Bellator 290.  Now don't bet on this without digging for a little more info and a little bit of tape study at MMA Core.  These are all at first glance just by looking at the lines and their Tapology profiles.  Here goes...

Larkin
Isaev
Rohskopf
Neal
Caldwell

Again not sure about it as favorites usually win in Bellator.  But telling you guys anyway for the bragging rights.  Cheesy

Fun parlay could be Gracie, Eblen then gambol on Bader.  That should be a good sweat vs Fedor.

Suddenly got amazed with Bader and Fedor records. Fedor has been fighting since 2000 and got 47 fights. Quite a lot at first I thought. But then I've looked on Bader record - 38 mma fights since 2007. I though old Fedor got a lot of fights, turns out Bader isnt far away from him. Never thought that is so much experienced.
Fedor Emelianenko was in his prime well before 2010 and after his first loss against Fabrício Werdum he lost two other fights in a row against top fighters during that time and then fought some sub par opponents to have a feel good moment before making his retirement but still 47 fights is a huge number while Bader never took a long break in his career and if Bader plays according to his strength which is wrestling he will win the fight.

I was just curious if anyone remember Matt Mitrione.  I went to highschool with him and he dated my sisters best friend so he'd be over at my house from time to time.  He was an amazing football player (american football), played in the NFL for a bit but man he had a really solid UFC career. He fought when I was much more in to UFC, and loved watching him fight as he's a heavyweight who throws insanely strong hooks.
I remember his debut as Matt Mitrione was given to Kimbo Slice as a sacrificial lamb but he made a mess to the plans of UFC by taking Kimbo to the ground and defeating him considerably and messed up my bet as Kimbo was hyped up and Matt was literally making his debut and he could have stayed in the UFC but he choose to wait for better offers and signed with Bellator and i was expecting him to become a champion because of the lack of depth in the division in Bellator but age is catching up with him as he is in a loosing streak.

Since i watched him from the start of his career, he looks like a friendly jovial person who enjoys life, is he the same in real life  Smiley.

Good news that Betnomi added this event on their website, after Sportsbet and Stake did it earlier.
You can now compare all odds and find the best possible, and if you are betting on Fedor that is currently Betnomi.
It was something weird, betnomi had the event since last month, but then take it out, and then back with the fixed odds, I was lucky to bet on Fedor on x3.75, some days ago it was in x2.7 and now is x3.2. So, odds have been moving.

I am happy to hear one of the best MMA judges Herb Dean will be in octagon with Fedor and Ryan Bader this weekend.
Herb Dean is a true legend and is awesome to have him as a referee. he is always a great referee for this kind of heavyweight fight.

I remember him. He was one of the The Ultimate Fighter contenders. That was TUF season with Kimbo Slice (YouTuber star of underground bare knuckle boxing) and Roy Nelson (redneck looking funny guy) . That season must have increased hype and interest to MMA. UFC signed Slice aiming to get interner fans, but Slice did not look great. I would say did not worth money he asked. Also Matt Mitrione has defeated Fedor Emelianenko, who is going to have next and last fight tomorrow on Bellator 290.

I remember Matt being huge and strong, but not very technician fighter. He is what people call "bull" or "pure power".

So you went to Sacred Heart-Griffin High School ? First step to deanonymization Cheesy

Id say that in a rematch, both would have equal chances to win. Aldo had a good number of losses, Conor had almost identical fighting results. Probably gods of random will decide who is going to win in a rematch. However, I would go with Conor in a rematch. He will definitely gonna get inside of Aldos head and beat him before the fight even starts.

Have you checked Aldos opponent in boxing fight ? Emmanuel Zambrano. He is 3 years younger, but his record make me doubt that this fight is going to be very competitive.

Yup! partially people can not tell who's going to win in their fight because it is much more complicated in dealing with when you got Jose Aldo who sure has great strikes and Conor McGregor that has the kicks but will surely get into his opponent's head to get them got off of their game plan, I think this is very much like McGregor the only one that doesn't fall for it and focus in winning 1st was Khabib Nurmagomedov, but surely Nurmagomedov had a great game plan and that is Conor McGregor's weakness for sure, and after that, because Khabib Nurmagomedov is in rage it all came out have said every word he could possibly think to Conor McGregor then attacks Connors Camp that is outside ringside by jumping out the fence,

WOW! I never know that Jose Aldo would go on boxing, I thought he surely quit for good in fighting his opponent was nothing a unknown boxer with 3 losses, I highly doubt it will be a good fight,

It's always interesting to compare MMA stats in fights like this, and both of this fighters have similar percentage of lost and won matches.
Fedor is better with submissions, but if they lose a fight both of them have higher chances to go down with KO or TKO, they never lost a fight with decision.
Fedor have slight reach advantage and he tried to present himself as tired old man in press conference, but maybe that is his tactics to fool Bader.

I always find it interesting to notice such things. All of the time our focus is lead by media, promotion and etc. We notice only 30-50 fighters, while there are thousand of others, who are just less lucky. So I went googling. Found quite an entertaining statistics. Can you image there is guy who had 320 professional MMA fights and 75 professional boxing fights. That is close to total fights count of one weight division top fighters have.

Press Conference for Bellator 290 Bader vs. Fedor 2 was just finished and you can watch it again on yotube.
Fedor looked very relaxed and he said he is happy to finally finish his carrier, but he had a lot of problems with visa for this fight.
This all card is very good and if it is broadcasted in same time with UFC I would watch this all card and maybe final fight in UFC.

Conor McGregor's antics and taunting really have gotten to Jose Aldo he mostly losses his focus on the fight, because he was really furious about McGregor and he really wanted to beat him, his emotions were out there ready to hit McGregor but Conor McGregor were pretty much ready that time, but for me, I am sure when they got a rematch Jose Aldo will be ready a win for sure,
