You own the pen
Stupid rules, but rules are rules. Either you play the game like others, or sit on the bench. Its a professional sport, their work, where health is on scales. It does not make any difference if it is an aspirin or heavy anabolic steroid. Consulate with doctors and your promotion officials.

What they really need is to update the list of substances that are specific only to use for boosting the body and exclude those medicines that are not from it. This is not an easy matter but they really need to consider doing it this way or when they have a new fighter, they need to make sure that he is clean from any of those substances and give him the list of medicines that he could only take while being signed to them. Because this kind of rule will always waste the fighter's opportunity to have a fight and to reach their goals as soon as possible.

P.S. I've checked this case in google. They did not take his belt, but he is still on 6months suspension.

I think it is a huge hit on Nurmagomedov family - CSAC suspends Bellator champ Usman Nurmagomedov for failed drug test; win over Brent Primus overturned. As I understand, Urmar right now is no longer Bellator lightweight champion. Originally he won a fight and defended title. But on November 11 test results appeared. Now he faces a suspension, a fine and a mark on Nurmagomedov family. Even though could be a mistake during testing, the social media has already started pumping that.
I am not sure if they really stripped him from title and there is some suspicious things about this test.
He was sick and he used medication prescribed by his doctor that have this substance, and I am sure he was not using anything to improve performance because he doesnt need this.
Evidence was provided and only mistake was made because he didnt ask for exemption.
Stupid rules.

Well, it wasnt mentioned, but he gonna face 6 to 24 month suspension. Plus add some time for a deeper investigation and double testing. I really doubt that Bellator just gonna wait for end of suspension and let them have a rematch, or pause their current tournament because of that.

I always find it strange when a professionals of such level are so irresponsible towards documents, medicine and etc. Usman said that he took medicine but did not warn athletic commission. I always find it strange, when you earn so much, when stakes are so high, and you use some third party doctors and medicine. I am sure that Bellator has their own docs, they can give at least a consultation.

This case has certainly damaged the good reputation of the Nurmagomedov clan, which previously had truly great fighters and even always held champion titles in their respective classes.
I saw in my trusted news broadcast that there was an official response from Usman Nurmagomedov that the failure of the test was due to the presence of substances in the medicine he was taking and that the medicine was prescribed by doctor after he experienced health problems.
Usman mistake was that he did not notify the Athletic Commission or (CSAC) of this problem from the start.

But I haven't seen any clear news about whether he was actually stripped of his lightweight title belt or not because I haven't been able to find any developments.
This is quite serious problem for the Nurmagomedov family and especially for Usman himself.

While I am waiting for UFC event to start I was checking other upcoming MMA events and I saw Bellator has interesting one coming next week.
Lot of great fights and two of them for championship titles in Welterweight and Bantamweight divisions.
I really want to see Sergio Pettis against Patchy Mix, both of them have great results recently but there can be only one on top.

Another Bellator champion Usman Nurmagomedov just got suspended for 6 months and $50,000 after failing a drug test!

Big credits to Francis Ngannou after amazing performance in boxing fight against Tyson Fury.
Now he and his team want to get back into MMA and they are calling UFC and PFL to set egos aside and make this super fight a reality.
I would really want to see this fight but Jones is injured and he has Stipe Miocic in schedule.
PFL did fantastic thing with Ngannou signing, Dana White is going down slowly  Grin

(...) and this week I am watching only Fury vs Ngannou boxing fight.

I have mixed feelings about this one. I like Fury, he's quite a character, but it's clearly just a pure money fight, with Ngannou having no chance of winning, unless Fury comes completely unprepared.
Fury is rumoured to get paid $50 million and Ngannou $10 million for that fight. If that's true, that's far more than what he could ever get for a single UFC fight. Pretty wise move from his manager. Given his already 37 years old, he can't ignore such opportunities and he's got nothing to lose.

Now that we are clear with the Juicy UFC 294 I think we are ready for a new event with the MMA for sure and this is on this upcoming Friday
Sorry but I dont know who this guys are and this week I am watching only Fury vs Ngannou boxing fight.
From another interesting news Jake Paul has agreed to fight against Nate Diaz in PFL, and Diaz has good chances with MMA rules.
I dont know exact date but I want to see that fight.
This is one many would like to see since their last fight right at the end Nate tried to pull a guillotine on him.
I would imagine many would like to see what would happen to Paul if they didn't have those boxing gloves on.
It is only fitting to happen since Diaz agreed to fight on his terms and now Paul would be fighting on his.

PFL is the only way to go with this one since Nate retired from the UFC and Jake wants nothing to do with Dana and his company even though his brother Logan is performing in the WWE which is technically the same company as the UFC now due to the merger.

Khabib retired way too soon, IMO. After beating everyone in the division, I was really hoping that a super fight between him and GSP would happen.
He won everything he could, and what would be the point in fighting a much older guy who is out of shape and have severe health issues?
I am sure he would beat him as well and anyone else in his division, so only real test for him would be going to higher division to fight the bigger guys.
Maybe some of his cousins will continue in his steps, Usman Nurmagomedov is best candidate.

I respect Khabib even more now after I see how other fighters are having hard time finishing their carrier.
One of the reasons some of this guys continue to fight even in older age is they probably want to earn more money, and I can understand that if they have to feed their family and pay the bills.
Maybe Pudzianowski should think about training other fighters or something else connected with his strongman caarrier.

Pudzianowski's motivation is definitely not just money. He actually owns a successful truck cargo company, a school for bodyguards, and invests in real estate. For him, and many others, it's just the drive to compete. If you've been doing it your entire life and you get fame, recognition and respect, it's hard to just let it go and call it a day.

Everyone ages differently, but yeah, he'll be 47 in Feb. But I think he's the type of guy who has been competing his entire life and just doesn't know when to stop. And I'm not saying he should, if he can still perform on at least a decent level, then who am I to stop him? He's still a big name, so KSW will probably try to milk him as much as they can. Maybe they'll be matching him up against younger and prospective fighters, who could boost up their careers by defeating a big name like Pudzianowski.

Did you watch the fight?
This was brutal KO win for Stosic in first round, and it is easy to find it on youtube and it lasts only a few minutes so you wont lose much time. , but let me just say that Stosic sent Martinke to sleep  Grin
Maybe next fight for Stosic is rematch with Philip De Fries, but this was last fight on his contract with KSW, so maybe we see some changes.

I did even though I didn't understand the announcer, and Michal Martínek was huge going inside the cage and touching the floor of the cage, he was really taller than Darko Stosic but the fight started in a fashion where Darko Stosic intimidated Michal Martínek pressuring him to back away from Darko so much while Darko Stosic pursued him with that menacing look that he has for sure this Heavyweight fight was finished before it can get started, that kick and a follow up 1-2 punch of Darko was enough to make Michal Martinek goes down, and if we can not get the rematch between him and Philip De Fries I really don't know what is next for him let's just wait but for sure a title much is more appropriate,

He is fast but sometimes he can rush thing to much and that is how few people caught him off guard.

Yes! I agree Darko Stosic surely has the power in his punch but if he rushes things so much it ends up bad for him with this recent fight Michal Martinek is backing so much that it was like he is making a trap for Darko as Stosic has guessed this and then when he landed a kick he knew that Martinek was rocked because of this and following up with the 1-2 punch, as I have said it was finished before it has started,

Stosic is among top fighters in KSW for sure, he is second placed below Phil De Fries who is their number one star.
Both of them are ex UFC fighters and they lost most matches there.
Mariusz Pudzianowski was good before, but he is to old now.

For sure as I am watching the fight there is no technicality with their approached as if they are still in the UFC then they will end up with a record just like Derrick Lewis for sure, as the UFC Heavyweight is now changed because of Cyril Gane, and now the additional of Jon Jones in the heavyweight have shifted the division into another upgrade for sure,

But still a classic brawl is just sweet to watch,

I just watched it. I wasn't familiar with Stosic, but he looked pretty slick. Pretty fast hands and impressive explosiveness for a heavyweight.

I haven't been following KSW in a very long time. Can anyone loop me in on who's the biggest star there nowadays? Do they have anyone of the calibre of any of the former stars such as Khalidov, Gamrot, or Roberto Soldic?
