THANK YOU SO MUCH. Using your Dell BIOS mod... I was unable to find anything that would work for these cards anywhere else on the internet. You put all 8 of my Dell RX580's at 29.5+ mh/s. Best that I could get previously was ~27.5. You da man.

I don't see any problem with this one. My tweaked PBE 2.0 has no problem with performance timings, undervolting (Windows only) and overclocking. with the 1 click button. But I can't test results since I don't have any RX 550.
If you can't read the bios in PBE try SRB it can decode more bios. If still not then good old HEX mod only...
The fan look pretty weak but since this card has very low wattage it should be possible cool it around 60°C with core voltages around 950mV and less or maybe with OC too when you use another fans.

I think the RX 550 from ASUS is realy bad.
I use some RX550 from Saphire Pulse and I am satisfied. Tongue

I did manage 440 but it just about burst into flames, I can still smell the toxic fumes from it...

I would say 400 should be possible with good power consumption, you just need good performance timings and not OC core much.
But I haven't tested any 550...

^^^ I just switched over to eth/dcr lol, only two problem rigs are left on xmr while I figure out power/driver issues...

Need a market rally and I'll go back to xmr, easier on the cards...

Edit:

On a side note windows adrenalin drivers cause the overheating of one card in a multiple card setup, xmr is OK but dual mining is too much. AMD/MS needs to start from scratch if they're serious about multiple GPU super-computing.

I'm left with the option of drastically underclocking the hot cards bios mod or running linux and I've got a spare ssd ready to go...

400-440 is pretty good for cryptonight for 550. Very good efficiency / price/ power.
Now lets hope the 550 won't disappear from stores

I don't have them, but someone told me that should be possible got them to 400-450H/s with very low power consumption, don't know which memory type.
I can provide some timings for testing, I'm curious too.

Well multiple drivers & 2 full clean windows reinstalls later Im totally convinced i got screwed with these cards... The Aug 23 driver i cool because it lets me use afterburner but i am still getting the 550-600H/s with XMR on stock bios with OC from AB. With straps changed i can push it only to 650H/s, Oh and somehow over these last two nights of messing with it ive destoryed the 1st PCIe slot on the mobo...

Ive played with the mobo bios settings tried gen 1 & 2. Tried latency at 32 and 96... Ive increased the virtual memory. Obv set to 4g encoding for mining. Ive tried everything I can think of. Hopefully some gamer will want these cards and I can just go buy more 1070 ti's lol but fml

Im gonna try using a new mobo to see if i really burnt the first slot somehow, i have a few new ones in stock(MSI Z270A) but if anyone has any last tips for me before i truley give these cards up Im all ears lol

VRAM usage is never fully in use like on my 1070ti rigs.. ive seen it at 7% and 45% and Im not sure what that means or if some setting is causeing the blockage, is there something im missing? Is Radeon Settings blocking usage? Should I not instal it with the drivers? Im going crazy lol
