In this pair, I would choose monero, but to say that I strongly trust this coin, then of course not. Now it's probably worth looking more at altcoins which show signs of life and who have bursts of growth, then you can earn on these waves.
Judging by how often Monero used for malicious miners, the output itself is nappasive. Monero is really safe and anonymous if you need it.
Well Monero is mined by bots because its algo is CPU friendly. Also algo is at least 2/3 of time ASIC resistant. This is what matters most compared to ZCash. Compared to other coins it matters volumes on exchanges. So bot operators can exchange coins with ease.
When you cant link transactions that makes coin fungible. So you all coins are the same. That makes you have zero fear accepting them from just anyone. Because you know that they cant be tainted and are worth exactly 1 Monero. With coins that have transparent ledger and you can link transactions you will have to be super careful to not get lets say a coin that was used by Maduro. Because then you cant spend that coin in USA since they dont like Maduro. And no one will want that coin from you except some will give you half of a nontainted coin. THIS IS MAIN VALUE of Monero. Is sad so many dont get it.

A trader will pick zcach over monero because of its liquidity . I also like its volatility.
We forked from Monero because it's really more anonymous than zcash and we respect dev and Monero's idea. Hope in next upcoming update they'll fix hashrate issues 
Personally, I am satisfied in all respects with Monero, especially since I am sure that the coin will be further developed!
In my opinion Both offer very good privacy, but are completely different. Monero is more practical (specifically addressing known issues), Zcash more theoretical and opt-in.

I choose and believe about zcash .i look first time list on exchange zcash have good price till now.and it stay at big price better than monero.i think zcash always to be stable coin and stay at high price at cryptoworld.
The choice is obvious, I bought both projects, because very soon they will have a very high cost. You have to understand that now people have a very large number of transactions that you don’t want to show. But it definitely should not be a loophole for bad things.

Well, now I certainly prefer cash , for me it is much better than monero , because a lot of my friends uses cash and never yet tseliteli 
Monero fell very much, they say that it is possible it will gain popularity, but not yet a fact, but Zecash is a very promising asset, which is not much, and they say that for such projects the future is certainly in it to put and consider it, I would buy it myself, the asset is not very much appreciated yet
Maybe all these projects actually have something in themselves, but I think that such anonymous coins can in fact be developed by special services. I think that this should seriously affect the belief in anonymity.
Monero may have some lead over Zcash in the privacy features but that could be matched by Zcash in time. Zcash circulating supply is currently about a third of Monero so that could help it with better gains over Monero. In any case, both these can be considered as the two top most privacy coins so you will do fine by owning both.

I will choose MONERO because it has more liquidity than Zcash, more liquidity means you can buy or sell it anytime.
And you can mining Monero with your CPU because it using cryptonight algorithm, different with Zcash which has Equihash algo to be mined.

I will vote for Monero, as this coin was originally created as a privacy coin. Unfortunately, I think that Monero will not be able to achieve high peaks, as It is not so necessary coin.
