After reading this (http://pastebin.com/VYpQ5CWA) I think I have a pretty good idea what this Ryan guy is trying to do.

From everything that I got he was interested in developing a payment system/atm system similar to paypal for crypto currencies. A few things stuck out to me when I read the conversations.

1) Payment system (moo pay or w/e you wanna call it at this point)

2) ATM Machines

3) Copy of Bitcoin made in another language (red flag)

From my experience in technology and business this is my take on what he has done and is trying to do in the future. What reason would someone need a clone of Bitcoin? Especially if they are running a payment company? This is a huge red flag. It looks like he is trying to setup a fraudulent payment company where people buy fake BTC that exist only in this payment system. Any BTC or $ that is transferred into the system gets deposited directly into his pocket and the victim is given a fake balance that only is reflected in the payment system. Wouldn't people be able to tell? If done right not at all. If a payment is made from one account to another that use the same payment system then its virtually undetectable. If someone makes a payment to a real BTC address then that is paid out legitimately as to go undetected same with withdrawals. Eventually if the company grows big enough more and more of the BTC will be logged in the fake BTC system while all the real BTC has been taken out (stolen).

This is a very complex con, similar to a bank to a degree.

I believe the mintpal transition was a test run if not a complete switch over to a fake BTC system. This would explain why people have balances but can't withdrawal them. The mintpal transition should have realistically only taken a few hours not days which would explain that there were probably bugs in the fake system that had to be addressed.

My warning would be to be very cautious about any new payment systems of any sorts popping up within the next year. It will more than likely be him implementing above plan.

I also forgot to mention it would also explain why he purchased such a large quantity of miners, how else are you gonna keep a fraudulent BTC network running? I'm surprised no one has responded about this....

I had around 700 DRKs when the site started the migration to v2. Around a week later when it came online my account was missing. So I waited around another week more until they solved the "missing accounts" problem. Then I logged right and have to wait two days more until the updated the missing accounts balance. Then my DRKs appeared and I withdrew them immediately which took a few hours to process.  I'm thankful I got it back.

You lucked out Frank. I have BTC stuck on their as well as another currency. It's probably gone.

There is something I don't understand, how can people withdraw anything from Mintpal ?
When I am loggued into it the only thing I can do is writing a user note.

There is no button, no nothing apart of this.

What am I missing ?

Mintpal pic : http://prntscr.com/4xev9k

Anybody could tell me if it's normal to have nothing to see on mintpal but the user notes ?

I need this to be cleared out.

Unfortuantely I have the same problem.

Anyone know what happened?

it's the new "trollbox". a box where you can't troll, but are trolled by alex/ryan who's burning your cash as we speak.
some people did request withdrawals before but right now it seems you can't even do that, you can only leave useless messages nobody will ever read

Thanks for pointing that out, because from what I read on this thread, I was thinking that there is something else I do not understand, on the mintpal UI.

Selling my 5000 XMR mintpal account .

PM offers or skype me: thestatdude

Seriously this sucks. It's like the one guy who made the 'selling gox accounts' site.

I tried withdrawing my BTC previously before they shut down and had the withdrawal "cancelled". As of yet, the BTC balance was never reaccredited back to my account after the failure.

As of now, I have BTC and another coin that hasn't been available for withdrawal yet stuck on their exchange. Pretty much the same boat as statdude albeit more.

I think we've all been Goxxed.

As it stands now for me, i managed to withdraw dark, xbc, nobl.  Still mia is myr, sync, fair and btc itself.  I had thought i was good on btc at first but the withdraw failed and then my wallet (on mp) vanished.
