I am just saying that if the action is taken with stolen coins (can even be blessed by whole community or even a pope himself for that matter) and the time shows that this action was unlawful, it can result in severe consequences for the people involved with taking this action.

The problem is that VanityGen tool creates a valid address from a valid key.. and i think also with address returns the private key for use.

The burn address must be with invalid keys for any doubt! Even you found the right keys will be remain invalids and not possible to "open" it!
I'm checking Mooncoin_Foundation solution(with invalid public key).
I think if the money came to the developer's address - it's already HIS PERSONAL money. He is a very decent and steep man - since he honestly told us that they came to him. The decision to take him personally. It's very stupid to burn money. He can do it in a classical way. 50% charity (within 1-2 years, so that there was no depreciation), 20% for community development - conferences, advertising, etc. 30% remains the developer in advance to stimulate further work.
