I think newbie wants to grow his coins in a quick time so he chooses to go for gambling at the initial stage, as this is the most common mistake I have noticed, as I also did the same mistake when I was a newbie  Grin

That's true majority of us have committed that mistake in the past, but the best thing is to learn from your mistakes and do not repeat the same in future.

Well, I did think this was gonna be more helpful than not, but once you receive information, place it in the OP so that we may be able to see that information clearer.

Many members are investing in pre sale crowdfundings, i believe this is very dangerous,
especially now when everybody wants to have bitcoin.

I think its sending BTC and then asking for exchange immediately when u dont know what confirmation is
Yes it is most common among many newbies. It is better to wait till 3 network confirmations for any bitcoin transactions. Even 6 confirmations also better choice if you are ready to wait more and even your buyer.
Yes the rushing towards without confirmation might be ended up with the double spending of same balance. I have recently faced this and the transaction was reversed.

Most common mistake is clicking on every link they can find,
i believe i was fooled this way few times but thanks god my btcs were secured.
It must be a good practice not to click any unknown URLs. Because there are lot of chances for trojan kind of malware to be injected into your computer or mobile.
I have seen many people who got resolution not to click any link even in the forum. They must be using online wallets and and not using any antivirus. But this must be a good resolution everybody needs to follow it to avoid getting into unnecessary trouble.

spamming in signature campaigns and being depressed that they got banned in the forum. It's sad but true, don't spam here. It's not welcomed and somebody will find you and they will..... ban you. XD it's a week at first but if i'm right after that a month or a year and then permaban. Don't spam and you probably won't get bad marks on your record, ever.
Don't do ponzis for fast bitcoin, they will scam you eventually and your money will be lost in oblivion. don't make the same mistake I did just a few months ago.

Without proper knowledge in the mining Newbies get into scam sites and lossing the real cash hardly earned through day job.
Can you share with us which websites, are you talking about? I didn't had bad experience so far.
But this is not news for me this forum is full of scammers, almost every day you can see member getting negative
trust for asking for loans or they trying to trade without escrow..

Read forum first before proceeding with any trades. There are lot of trolls who simply alerts on false users try to scam. You may gain lot of info from the trolls. And one more point is don't invest in any of the doubler sites. They're pure scam.

My best suggestion is stop dreaming about huge profit and wealth. Work hard to earn it. Bitcoin will not make you richer. You may use bitcoin and other altcoins wisely to be rich.

Not really a mistake but I see lots of newbies (most likely scammers) begging or making up some bull shit about a charity case. So yeah don't do that Smiley

Also don't try & get a loan as a newbie, people will give you negative trust on your profile.
I was just about to say this as a forewarning. But then I think the original poster wanted to know what the common mistakes in general that a new user makes with bitcoin and not necessarily on this forum.

Begging usually results in the opposite, usually a block from the person youre begging to. I've seen so many kids try to do it...

"I'm a 13 year old kid that likes anime, please tip at *inser address here*"
- I've gotta find this one again. It was hilarious.

EDIT - aaaand I found it. https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/how-do-you-earn-a-lot-of-free-bitcoins-fast-1140855

Ahoy there  Smiley
Im a beginner with electronic currencies and started using Yobit few days ago
I would like to know what types of common mistakes newbies make and what to avoid in early days

Regards

You can swap it for BTC and buy some mETH on Nuclues.
I would advise you to use escrow because FE is risky and can get you scammed.

If you are using a bitcoin wallet make sure you do not give your password to anyone. Your coins might disappear later on.

Most common mistake of a newbie is easy to believe what higher rank says even though some of their suggestions are bluffs.
Not only with forum members anywhere we must be careful to deal and especially with unknown people. And one more, for all the bitcoin transactions always going with escrow would be make your transactions more safe.
