The biggest mistake is keeping coins on exchanges. The number of exchanges that have gone out of business or have been hacked and the exchange has "frozen" your coins, and pays you in dribbles over years is amazing. Off the top of my head, mtgox, vircurex, mintpal, bter, cryptsy have all to varying degrees forfeited people's coins.

Do your trade and then get your money out asap.

The biggest mistake I see newbies making is trying to jump into monetary schemes the minute they get into Bitcoin. Do not waste your time on faucets. Do not waste your time on signature campaigns at low levels. You may not earn anything at the start, but knowledge is infinitely more valuable than the lowest forms of online labor. Integrate yourself into the community and ask questions. Giveaways and opportunities will reveal themselves to you naturally. Once you get your footing and understand the ins and outs, you can start looking at ways to earn money.

In my case, I took advantage of many gambling promotions early on. Then I started freelance writing to earn a decent Bitcoin wage. I've also been participating in signature campaigns over time.

Well as I remember when I was when I try to join a campaign without reading the first page of the post. post only my address and status on bitcoin. After the inform me that this is not how I can join in that campaign felt so embarrass eventhough I can never be seen. Apologized then read the instruction first before joining any campaign which is very important after all..

don't enter in a p.a.d neither a ponzi scheme.... lot of people are moving funds to shitcoins and faling into the abyss of ponzi (like bx2.club btcwork, etc... and hundreds of "good" things offering easy return)... this "universe" of btc and alt(shit)coins are full (man, when I say full, I say F.U.L.L) of scammers, this forum and trollbox of exchanges are full of them (you can search a lot of bad things or take a look into gambling section)... just give some attention to those who have some "respect" or those who aren't "burned".

Don't jump into a signature campaign.  Allow some time to learn about the forum and bitcoin's before joining one.  So many hear of "easy" money and try to jump in one and have utter crap posts.  Your time being a low level is unique as you can learn a LOT about bitcoins and also about making a good post.

I personally waited till hero.  Looking back wish full member I would have joined one... but live and learn.  I think full member with it usually paying more is proper level to start joining a signature campaign.

My one piece of advice would have to be: If it looks too good to be true, it probably is. As in, you're not going to be the 1 in a million who happened to invest in the next-big-thing at the right time so you're better off just sticking with 2-3 currencies and monitoring them in detail.

The most common mistake done by a newbie is they start using their  bitcoin on gambling as they want to multiply their coins in a short time and gradually end up loosing everything, so it is recommended to stay away from gambling.

Take note on this and not only in Gambling but also on Ponzi Scheme or other HYIP programs. Scams are everywhere here, be cautious when your btc is involved. Transact with reputable member, better to use escrow in any transactions.

Your biggest mistake will be to listen to advice like this and then be left out of pocket, because you bought into a pump n dump scheme. There are currently a lot of ETH pumpers on this forum, trying

to pump the price and getting others to buy, so that they could sell at a profit. Just ignore this advice and do your own research and remember this forum is not a place for financial advice. Bitcoin is

the strongest Crypto currency out there and it has no central figure head to be attacked... this is where other Alt coins are vulnerable.  Tongue
Yes this is worse than a spam, they have several topics related to ETH and this hype is based on ponzi,
for me to earn money somebody must buy at this price..
I believe the project have something unique and good, but this has nothing in common with pump behind it.

You can swap it for BTC and buy some mETH on Nuclues.
I would advise you to use escrow because FE is risky and can get you scammed.

My mistake with yobit is that I bought few shitcoins with 1 satoshi then I failed to sell it again (forever)
I think yobit had to remove these kinds of altcoins from their system...

Don't waste your time on faucets, because it's really waste your time and your earned so small. Always remember your wallet identifier, because many newbies forget about their wallet.
Better to save on a notepad all your password and identifiers on your diferrent wallets. For example is blockchain, you need to copy and save all the details so that if you forgot anything on it , you have a copy of it.
