Don't waste your time on faucets, because it's really waste your time and your earned so small. Always remember your wallet identifier, because many newbies forget about their wallet.
This thread was very helpful, I have read and I was lucky to avoid a Ponzi investment.

Common mistake of newbies here is joining HYIP sites and Investor-based games that is more likely to scam you within few days resulting to a loss of your coins.
Yeah and its nothing new as when I was a newbie even I invested in doubler site to double my coins quickly, but then I realised that I have been scammed, but I learnt from my mistake.
That has to be the biggest mistake i see constantly, people thinking other people will double their coins in 5 minutes...it sounds great until they run and just never come back, there is no purpose to think someone can double your coins faster than you can.
That's true but when you are really new to something then that mistakes are obvious to happen, may be the greediness comes into play and that disturbs everything.

Yeah this is right, I'm following a certain facebook group of bitcoin people. But most of them are newbies. And they tend to gamble and they think that gambling is just the only way of earning bitcoin and some of them are also into ponzis.
Too many newbies get scammed so easily due to many people offering "doubling" and it's just a pain to watch all the people get caught up in the wrong ponzi scheme to ruin their fun because that to me is what btc is about.
BTC is no fun if you get scammed so what's the purpose of having btc when so many people are out there to scam you?
You need to be smart before entering or investing into it, just ask a simple question to yourself that is it really possible to double bitcoin in quick time? and you will get your answer.

Well, I think the most common SINGLE mistake of a newbie is probably gambling what they cannot afford to lose. I remember in those days when I used to believe that martingale works.

Yeah gambling is the most common mistakes of a newbie because they only think that they will always win on gambling sites and also think that there is a fast money lol.
Yeah, I've seen countless people losing a ton of money as a newbie on dice gambling. They don't seem to know the fact that gambling will not profit them in the long term and they keep coming back.

Definitely. I think that is a very common mistake of a newbie. And it's not only that they want to gamble with their coins, they want to chase their losses as well which is probably more destructive.

Yeah that's one of the reason why the gambling is so addictive because of the players who are chasing their coins to recover from loosing. I also do that but now i'm just focusing on signature campaign and trading because it's a lot way better than gambling i think.

You can't blame them, though. All of us want to get rich quick. That's why there are some actual people who bought e-books entitled: "How to get rich quick", "Get rich effortless in 15 minutes". Those books are too good to be true. I hope that newbies could set aside their wants and be realistic when they are in the bitcoin world.
In your case, which is gambling, gambling isn't new to everyone. All of us have that one relative who is addicted to gambling. When you were a newbie, you might have thought "I can actually double my money quickly and I'm feeling really lucky today." That's why you tried gambling. The next day, since you're still a newbie, you deposited some of your own money and tried to recover what you loss and still aim for your money to get doubled. This is such a common mistake for everyone not only for newbies -- trying to recover what you loss and aiming for tons of profit.

just don't try those hyip sites they are not trusted and they will stole your money . some of the newbies are always losing their money from that kind of online investments . just like what happened to me before i have lost some much all of my income from the different faucets because of hyips .
+1. Newbies with no one to talk to will always be a victim of HYIP sites until they learn that it's all a scam. You can't blame them, though. Everybody wants to earn money fast and without much work. A newbie would think that he's so lucky that he has found a website that pays you without you doing anything. He might as well think of it as a "secret for success".
Unless they're I'll educated adults or 8 year olds who've never heard of the word "Ponzi", they should be able to tell they're looking a Ponzi/pyramid.

Most mistakes made by newbie is they are easy to get scam by one of the sites because they are not looking for a lot of the information supplied by members of this forum.
Thats one of the common mistakes done by newbies,, joining on doubler/hyip site,becuase they were only newbies they dont know whats the risk in joining on those sites,only one thing comes from thier mind earn without doing anything . Next common mistake is they get in gambling and gets more addicted for that and couldn't control themselves. Jump to:
