I think it is mostly in the "younger" generation indeed that this is very known. With time older people will also hear about it through media and such. Since it will be accepted more and more in different stores, this will also help.

yeah, it's true that most of the people don't have any idea about the Bitcoin platform. they don't even know how it works.? not only that some still a lot of people don't know the name of Bitcoin. but this scenario is changing day by day. Basically, this type of scenario occurs in the third world countries but in the Europe, Developing and developed countries people are much aware of this system.

In order to use bitcoins you need internet and not everyone uses internet . Most of people don't know how internet/computer works so maybe its the main reason why  Most people don't even know what this is yet. For knowing or starting buying selling bitcoin, you need to have basic know how of the Internet so how will those people operate and use bitcoin who are totally uneducated.

that is not the point, we are living in the world where internet have been the primary needs just like you need to eat. so i think in most places internet available already , the point are when even a classy full of technology store won't adopt a new big thing like bitcoin.

they could do it easily btw. just the matter of time to make them convinced and feel not fear using bitcoin with its volatility.

Amazob, Ebay etc will have to accept Bitcoin one day, and then the smaller stores will follow. Some german online shops for computer hardware accept Bitcoin already.
Most of these merchants are already integrating bitcoin into their payment system and we will get to see more as time goes on.

Immediately most of the big guys in the industry have started accepting like you said, it will most definitely create more awareness since it is a large market and most users will want to have some for themselves, hence creating more population of bitcoin owners.

This will also make the smaller players in the industry to also want to take advantage of the technology as well like you said.

In what country do you live? Most of the stores worldwide aren't aware about bitcoin so they don't know what you are talking about if you'll ask them about bitcoin payment.

But the time is near that everyone will be familiar about bitcoin and this is going to be recognized globally.

I'm waiting for that day to pay my groceries with the bitcoin I have. That will come and don't worry about it because it's already happening.

Yes, it is true most people doesnt know Bitcoin yet and some people know Bitcoin but they are afraid to try Bitcoin unless you provide them a proof that will prove that Bitcoin is legit. Some are just afraid to try things they are not sure off, So what Bitcoin need is more advertisement especially in world wide TV so that people will know something about Bitcoin.

Bitcoin is not so well known to some, only some know it and use it for transactions and investments or in trade, so far the development of bitcoin is very fast and good. And most people took it serious right from the start and bought so much for themselves right from the start and now they are reaping the benefit while some never took it seriously..

Yes they didint know what bitcoin is because it was not that purely legalized by the governmnt. But its okay because we are lucky that we found and we knew what bitcoin is. Because it helps us a lot especially when it comes to our financial need.

Well thats a fact, they didnt know yet bitcoin because it hasnt been introduced online or being advertised in the television which is for me is good, we can have time to mine bitcoin and do different services to have bitcoin to gain money, and if we have bitcoins already we can hold it until the time comes that bitcoin will raise its value as well as ours.
At individual level it is really great that very few people are aware of bitcoins because in this way those who are involved with bitcoins are getting chance of holding large number of bitcoins that too without much competition and efforts.

Bitcoins popularity will make it very difficult to even own one single bitcoin and this is expected to be experienced after five years.

There's only a minority of people that know about bitcoin. In my university, i believe only i and a few of my friends that know about bitcoin and i am the one who told them about it. Bitcoin still in early development so there's still so much room to grow.
I feel the same. Almost nobody among the people I know has heard of Bitcoin. Some heard some rumors but they have no idea how the system works and how to use it.
Maybe 10% of the people I've met had some knowledge about Bitcoin and out of those maybe half had a wallet and actually used it.
If Bitcoin's price is to be proportional to the number of people who know about it, it's going to be worth at least 50k USD in a couple years.

.1% of the total population? that is very good for us because imagine that the bitcoin price now is 4000$ and with that price only estimated .1% of the total population is using and known it so I think as time passes by the bitcoin price will go massively because many people are getting to know it and the word of bitcoin will spread all over the world.

There are a lot of people who has an idea about bitcoin but still some people are unaware of it. Maybe it is because bitcoin is not yet legalized all over the world or maybe because bitcoin is not that much advertised in different medium. This are the current situations you are seeing nowadays but for me I think someday sooner, almost everybody in the world will know and have an idea on how bitcoin works.

You can't expect that everyone in this world has an idea with bitcoin already. Considering the fact that bitcoin is not yet legalized globally can already be a factor on why some people has no idea on what is bitcoin and what it does to people. Some of them might have heard about bitcoin already but I'm pretty sure that they are not that interested with it anymore that's why they ignored it. It would be their lost still if it is the thing that they will do.

You may say that bitcoin is very famous nowadays but you can not avoid meeting people who does not know bitcoin. It is very rare to see a certain country whose people has an idea with bitcoin. We should always remember that bitcoin is not yet globally legal that's why it is not being prioritized that much leading to lower possibility that a certain group of people has an idea with bitcoin which is not good for it I think.

I can relate to this kind of situation. It just came this time wherein I experienced this thing with my relatives. I threw a joke related to bitcoin and I looked like a dumb person waiting for their reaction. They did not have any reaction because they have no background or any idea with bitcoin that's why you should be observant on who you are going to talk to. It is for you to avoid unecessary misunderstanding which may lead to trouble.

There are many people who do not know bitcoin today in every country. Anyone knows that there are only a few. But when the time is coming  that bitcoin will become about to know around the world, well it will surely increase the bitcoin price. So we who believe in bitcoin are definitely suddenly rich. Cheers Wink

This is totally true. Even I came to know about bitcoin two weeks ago when a friend of mine introduced me to it and explained me its dynamics. And I think its better for us users that so many people dont know about it because more the number of people know about it, more the competition will rise.

I agree with you, there are still a few people who know about bitcoin as well as stores that receive payment with bitcoin. So we are lucky enough to know the bitcoin first  Grin
Very few people! Most times some people always feel they are late when they just arrived a little bit on time.
Wait until people start realizing bitcoin and its benefits globally, then we will all understand that even in the next few years when bitcoin is $20,000, we are still just starting then too.

Cryptocurrency is only known by techie people. Some thought it as a scam. In the state that we have today, its hard to gain the trust of people. It will  take a lot of time and effort to convince them. And of course, you have to show them a solid proof that bitcoin really exist, that bitcoin is money.
