There is a catch, addicted gamblers are addicted because they have a plan all along, they want to make it in life taking the short cut route and brother, I believe you of all people should know that Bitcoin investment is a long term play, gamblers don't believe in such, maybe a few of them did but if majority of them believe that something like Bitcoin can change their lives in future I believe they won't become an addict to gambling.

It's going to be a tough work to confuse an addict to start accumulating Bitcoin, it's going to be like you are putting them in a suffering position.

A true successful Bitcoin investor believes in Bitcoin that's why they accumulate with their hard earned money, and apart from this, they do it for years, it takes a very well patience person to do this, addicted gamblers aren't one of them people.

How sure you are that they are going to leave gambling and just invest their money in Bitcoin, that's no way to discourage gamblers to stop gambling, they will even continue to gamble more when they found out through you that they can play online using Bitcoin.

so as long as someone has no intention of stopping gambling they will still play gambling even though they have found a new habit. Especially now that there are several sites that can pay via bitcoin, this can make it possible for even someone who has stopped will be tempted to return to gambling.

If you really want to really leave gambling and switch to investing, then stop your gambling activities, stop coming to the casino, control your emotions and finances and block all gambling sites. In general, gambling addiction is like a disease that refuses all medications, in some cases it takes time to be healed otherwise anyone who finds themselves in such condition may be hard to be controlled.

Gambling and Bitcoin investment may be confused. Gambling is addicting, while Bitcoin investing is strategic. It demands knowledge of both blockchain and the financial world. Frequent minor investments raising suspicion and hefty costs can be minimized. Research and choosing a competent trading platform helps reduce these concerns. Bitcoin "losing money" may be oversimplified. Though unpredictable, the cryptocurrency market has seen huge long-term profits. Hodling, or holding Bitcoin, has often yielded large gains in crypto.

After all, gambling and cryptocurrencies are not the same thing. If a person cannot control himself, then he will probably not succeed in trading. In gambling, the result is immediately visible, while in trading it takes time, and sometimes a lot of time.

No mate, plenty of gamblers wants to invest in Bitcoin but the other thing that stopped them from investment or draged them back from investment is because gambling sites nowadays also use Bitcoin as payment methods, just imagine the fact that a gambler has BTC that Worth's $100 and the same gambler lost $500 from gambling he/she will inventualy sell he's/her coin to gamble again because he thinks he can get back his loses from gambling.

The way to make money in Bitcoins is to encourage them to learn to trade or invest where they only need to buy Bitcoins over a certain period. If gamblers could divert their money to trade or invest in Bitcoin, they might get bigger profits than playing gambling.

But it won't be easy to impart knowledge or introduce Bitcoin to addicted gamblers. And instead, they can use Bitcoin to gamble in the hope of having more Bitcoin from their winnings. The first thing to do is open their horizons to other ways they can use to make money. But it takes a process until they realize that looking for other ways to make money is better than gambling.

They can distract themselves from gambling and find new activities from trading and investing. And they will also find more opportunities to make money.

If someone struggles with a gambling addiction, this person might need professional help. If not, an activity to substitute gambling can be good, but I don't think that investing in Bitcoin is a good option. Firstly, gambling is often about getting fast results, while Bitcoin investment isn't. You bet some money and get a fast result, learning whether you won or lost the bet. Then you do it over and over again. Buying Bitcoin like that, using small amounts and many iterations, can look as suspicious financial behaviour and cost a lot in fees. Also, there's no immediate result, as the price simply fluctuates.
Secondly, a big part of the problem with gambling is losing money, which is why I believe that investing in Bitcoin is a bad option. If a person is just buying and buying without being willing to sell, it's basically lost money. Not to mention that Bitcoin can be in the bear market for a long time.

Most gamblers using crypto are also investing in Bitcoin, this is what I have noticed around me, few people that I knew are into crypto investment are also into crypto gambling, it's doable and it can also be called risk diversification, if one doesn't work the other will benefit.

It's also the same in my own case, I do gambling few times in a month and I still keep accumulating crypto projects and Bitcoin, I am opened to all kind of risks but gambling isn't investment, it's about trying your luck and it's fun.

If gambling isn't fun then you are passing your budget boundaries, you are using money you are not ready to lose or you are chasing a bigger goal, to me it's feels wrong.

Those people won’t listen to you, according to me. As they are gambling in order to make money in a shorter period of time. So if you ask them to invest in bitcoins, they will simply deny it. Investments aren’t about quick returns. Hence, they will treat bitcoin investments as any other sort of investment. You need to make them realise the importance of bitcoins and how they have risen from 0. Once they see the profit in this, they will only invest a small amount in bitcoins. Moreover, don’t forget that Bitcoins are also used for gambling in many crypto casinos.

It's easy as it may seem. If you're trying to advocate investing in Bitcoin for these gambling addicts, there's no assurance that they'd listen to you. I am sure that there have been other people that were concerned with them and gave them advice but, they never listened to anybody.
Much better is just to let remind them of what's good for them but don't force them to do something that they don't wanna do. It's good that you're spreading that investing in Bitcoin is good but, you're unsure if they might like the idea of it.

Let's just know that many of these people that are involved in gambling and bet and lose always are also aware of Bitcoin investment and other businesses that may bring them profit in the future, but due to their eagerness for instant profits they think that they will be making, they decided to choose gambling ahead of Bitcoin investment and other opportunities with less risk. So just believe that even if you try to convince them, they may never listen to someone because their quick way is to make money.
 
Gambling suppose to be seen as funny but not a way of getting rich, but many people see it as a way they can become rich, so with that mentality, they put more faith in the belief that one day they will make it through gambling.
 
I have seen someone betting throughout a season and did  not win even once, and when I try to tell him if he had invested all the money he wasted on gambling in bitcoin, how much did he think he could have invested in bitcoin by now and the profits he will make in future, he says that he prefers short-term profits. Let know that some people have Bitcoin but they are still selling it to gamble despite knowing it will bring them profit in the future. Let know that is not everyone you can convince to leave gambling and to start invest in Bitcoin.

Investing in altcoins is considered a gamble, but investing in it also requires a lot of knowledge and experience, even more knowledge of investing in altcoins than bitcoin. So it can also be a barrier for gamblers because they are people who are not hard working and diligent in acquiring knowledge and taking the time to learn. But given what you've been through, it shows that investing in altcoins isn't as bad as many people are going viral, and I don't really hate altcoins either. To be fair, investing in altcoins today offers better returns than bitcoin, but many are denying it.

Bitcointalk can't solve gambling addiction problems and bitcointalk isn't the right place to look for money to solve your problem if you lack money. Don't promise any individual that they can make money by joining the forum. They can make money by investing in Bitcoin but it'll not solved their addiction problem. Bitcoin has no attachment like money and this might make them gamble more with Bitcoin as it's very comfortable betting on crypto casino.

Before introducing any gambler to investing in Bitcoin, make sure they're no longer an addict. If you don't do that then they'll be using the profits they got from Bitcoin to gamble and if hey're an extreme addict, they might use the capital that was invest in Bitcoin to gamble.

People who want quick profits will not be interested in investing. Inviting them to switch to investing will be a tough obstacle especially since they are already addicted gamblers so the assumption that inviting is not the best idea is also not wrong because investing in Bitcoin requires a long period of time.

To save them from having a heavy addiction, motivating them by introducing Bitcoin is good in my opinion by providing a positive understanding of Bitcoin.
With Bitcoin they can at least do day trading if the knowledge is sufficient for them to do so that their time is no longer on gambling.

Gambling  addicts also using a Bitcoin with their gambling games we are a in the web 3 right now so not only with the bitcoin but also with the other coins they can use as their investment. Actually most of the gambling casino still using the way of amount of the bitcoin for example the deposit is in BTC and not in the dollar currencies so if the market goes up or even down their coins may varies and not fix as dollar rate I've seen this a lot so they can use their money as investment while playing gambling. Seems the perspective the same as their investment

This is not a good idea, it may seem easy to just convince people to use the money they dedicated to one activity to another, but this is not so simple especially if we are talking about an addiction, even if you could convince those people to invest in bitcoin then they will just find a way to gamble with bitcoin on the markets, with this in mind it is better to not skip the necessary steps to help those people, so at first they need to stop their compulsive gambling on their own, understand why this is wrong, receive help, remain clean for months and years, explain how bitcoin and this market works to them and only then they could be ready to take the responsibility to invest in this market.

If a gambler wants to be an investor, they can do it with stocks, gold...or any other form of investment. Your idea makes me feel that you are looking at bitcoin as another form of gambling than an investment. Gamblers and investors are completely different, I don't think your idea will get the gambler's approval. Because gamblers just want to make quick money while bitcoin is a long term investment, how can you encourage them to give up gambling and switch to investing?
