The last news I heard was that Dovi was on leave after the GP 2020 . But the rumor is that Dovi is still in contact with Honda. Dovi is rumored to be Marquez's replacement racer for the start of the season. Even Honda intends to lobby Dorna to increase the number of riders. They want three riders in one team. But until now I haven't heard any official news from Honda.

Furthermore, for next year's GP winner I think there are many riders who still have a chance, Marquez will have a hard time to win.

If Marc Marquez is fully back in shape for the start of the championship, I don't think he can have any opponents to fight for the world title.
Marquez has always been the best of all, but now everything depends on his physical recovery and today he is not in good shape.
Dorna today issued an official statement, saying that the idea of the three bikes cannot be accepted and it also seems right to me

Wow did Andrea Dovizioso quit already MotoGP?I don’t see his name in this list so I assume he has retired but that is a shame as he was a really good rider that even fighted for the title at some point.I am not at all impressed by this list as I don’t see any promising talent here and the Championship will be won by Marquez if he races this upcoming season.

Many fans hope this with 3 riders in the factory Honda team, but from Dorna Carmelo Ezpeleta said already no

So Doviziosio only chance for a MotoGP come back are the fitness from Marc.

unfortunately he is not absolutely sure that Marc Marquez will be at the start of the next Motogp championship, two days ago he wrote a tweet of good wishes to his followers and he had the carbon brace on his arm again, a sign unfortunately that he has not improved at all. I still don't understand how they could make him run a few days after the fracture, ruining his career

Today I had read something about his situation.
He seems to have a  chronic problem in his bones and in his bone marrow, he can really risk his career.

He will be under surgery again probably.

They are already talking about next season as a "training season", they are saying, He needs to rebuild his muscles on his arm because is almost a year without any movement and he still needs MONTHS before even be able to jump in a moto.

I am really excited about the next season and I believe that the competition between the teams will be bigger than this season. I think that the number one team will be Mercedes again. But in my opinion, Red Bull will be closer to them with Verstappen and Perez. Vettel made a great move by going to Aston Martin. I think that he will be closer to his old days there. Ferrari look like they will continue having performance problems next season too. But I believe that there will be a huge competition between Leclerc and Sainz. Ricciardo made wonderful things at Renault and I believe that he can do better at McLaren.

I hope the 2021 season is different from 2020 and it seems that all options are there. Red Bull, which finally has two competitive drivers to put pressure on Hamilton, Fernando Alonso's return to Formula 1, I just hope that Vettel, changing team, will again have the will to win, because if Aston Martin manages to give him a competitive car like this year, it could win races. In my opinion it will be really fun, we will not always have the usual podium, with two Mercedes and Verstappe

I'm glad RBR chose a competitive driver instead of Albon. It could be a double-edged sword though, if Perez competes against Verstappen, they could share the points, and help the competition. Remember how Raikkonnen became World Champion ?

it's been a crazy year this one, with some tragedies avoided miraculously and drivers who couldn't compete because of the pandemic issue. Surely next season will be a little more stable, and I hope that important drivers, like you said, will come to compete. It would be a more unique podium than last season.

Next year will be similar but different.
They will keep these cars but they will reduce around 20% in the downforce, some teams like Mercedes already said they have recovered this nerf somewhere else.
Mercedes need to fix the problems with his electrical engine, it sounds ridiculous but they have problems if they push at 100%.
Even if Honda already said they are leaving will come with a BIG upgrade as they said.

Ferrari? Meh they have a new engine finally they can change it but who knows if they are pushing or waiting for the coming revolution...

It's prolly just wiser for Ferrari to totally push under the new rules on 2022 and save resources for that next season.  I mean what's the point?  Merc has already dominated under the V6 era.  Maybe the new rules could even things out and have RBR and Ferrari step up a bit and give Merc some serious competition.

Are we even sure Marc Marquez will start next year?

Told you back months ago, he was too greedy to run after 3 days from his fracture.
I had an ear 2 weeks ago we will need surgery again, the man he's risked or maybe he is still risking his carrer.

More competition between the teams is still to be expected in 2021, when the regulations will change, and in 2021 there will be Mercedes and all the others Wink If Honda as a supplier of engines wants to slam the door before leaving, then maybe we will really see Red bull closer to Mercedes, but undoubtedly Perez will have much more competition for Verstappen than Alex Albon, the most important thing is that their personal competition does not lead to off-piste. It will also be interesting to see Alonso return to Renault instead of ricciardo, it seems that the Renault engines are getting better and next year Fernando can get a very competitive car.

I guess building supercomputers is less expensive than using a wind tunnel and building more carbon fiber parts. Carbon (CFRP) isn't that expensive though, it's a mature technology, I don't really get it.

the problem is that with the new regulations, to save costs, the hours in the wind tunnel are very limited, making it impossible for those who have to recover to make the machine more efficient.
In total it will be 400 hours in the tunnel, but only 80 hours will be with the wind flow activated. The top 5 ranked teams will have a 2.5% reduction in hours for each position.

In contrast to other small manufacturers, large companies such as Mercedes and Ferrari can hide the costs a little, Ferrari will do everything to get back to the top (no matter what the cost). Even if the biggest problem is the power unit and probably less the chassis.

Slava Ukraini!
less than 3 months before the start of the world championship, it already seems that there is a problem with the first race in Australia.
currently, Australian law requires a 14-day quarantine to enter the country. the race is Sunday 21 March, but the paddock staff must be there at least
Tuesday 16. Considering that there are tests in Barcelona until March 4, they would not have time to leave for Melbourne and do the 14 days of mandatory quarantine
I guess exception for F1 will be made. Their case is different from some random people who arrive to the country. F1 team member and staff are tested several times a week during season. Also, they aren't allowed to leave their social bubble - they will spend whole race weekend in the track and hotel only.

Not sure about it
Ferrari was building a simulator for fans, a pro version for around 400.000 €.

This was the old one Ferrari was using, they built a new one and I have no idea how much it can costs
