Standings Drivers after 18 of 20 races:

1.Hamilton        333     gap

2.Vettel              277     -56
3.Bottas             262     -71

4.Ricciardo         192   -141
5.Raikkonen       178   -155

6.Verstappen      148    -185
7.Perez                 92    -241
8.Ocon                  83    -250
9.Sainz                  54    -279
10.Stroll                40    -293

With Lewis Hamilton already world champion mathematically, only the positions of consolation remain:
Vettel and Bottas are struggling for second place.
Ricciardo and Raikkonen are struggling for fourth place.
Great season for Esteban Ocon perhaps the best rider among outsiders this year.
I think he will be able to go to a top team in the future

What a boring way to win the driver's championship. I do not know why the fans are happy.

The season started with high expectations with the faster cars and the new rules. I thought the sport was going to be exciting again. Let us hope 2018 will be better.

I will also be following Max Verstappen's career very closely from now on.

That's normal, fans are still fans who love to see their favorite to be champion no matter how the process of the winning. I have to agree it was a boring way, but no one expected it at the beginning of the season. 2018 would be much more better imho, I'm sure other teams and riders will do a big evaluation to make the next season better than the latest season.

Congratulations to Lewis Hamilton, who won F1 champion tittle 4th in his career.
In general, everything today was decided in 1st lap, when there was accident between Seb and Lewis. Both had to make pit stops due to damage after that and Vettel wasn't able to regain lost positions. Hamilton performance wasn't amazing today, but it was enough for him to win a championship.
And after great start, Max Verstappen didn't had any problems and won race easily. I can't remember when race winner got so little attention after race Cheesy Because champion Lewis was in light of cameras.

Yes, Congratulations to Lewis Hamilton he is a great champion.
the last part of the season, Vettel and Ferrari was disastrous otherwise we could have seen the fight until the last race.
Next year the rules will remain the same and I am convinced that we will see a fight between 3 teams: Mercedes, Ferrari and Red Bull, which has proved to be at the same level as the first 2.

Another victory for Dovizioso, but Marquez with 21 points is very close to the World Championships victory!
last race on November 12 in Valencia

The result makes the championship looks more interesting but obviously Marquez has bigger chance to win the world championship. Mathematically he only need to finish on 11th to be the world champion, he will play safe imho at least he will play as usual. On other hands, Dovisiosi needs to win the last race and hoping Marquez out of 11th or even do not finish. Cant wait to see the last race

Anything can still happen but I think 92% of the title has been held by Marc Marquez. Dovizioso had to expect Marquez to fall in the next race because expecting Marquez to finish behind was almost useless hope. I'm not sure if Marquez will be very difficult until just finish behind.

Why was Sebastian so overaggressive in the late part of the season? Sebastian destroyed his chance to win this race by hitting Lewis. Maybe Max Verstappen has an effect on him on any occasion that they are near each other on the staring grid.

Holy sh*t!  I forgot about this one.

Good job for Vettel.  I guess I have to wait for a replay for this one now just to see what happened.  This should be a really good race with Vettel and Verstappen in the fronot row (finally!).  I hope Vettel doesn't do anything stupid again.

Warning signs are there for Raikonnen, as Briatore released a statement that they couldn't beat Mercedes with the Finn.  I think he'll be leaving Ferrari as soon as possible and could be replaced by a more suitable driver to partner with Vettel.  Will we see the other Finn take the vacant drive then?  Wink

Anyway here's the time table for this weekend's race.

^ There's prolly no Asian driver found skilled enough to drive an F1 car, or there's no Asian billionaire willing to sponsor a driver to get him a seat in a team.  But it would be nice to see one again tho.

About Verstappen's overtake, we could see the replay at different angles over and over and we all could still be divided if he deserved to be penalized or not.

Imho, he had all 4 tires off the track when he did it.  Technically that's a penalty.

Hamilton has dominated today and seems to be the great favorite of this race.
he wants to try to win the world championship already in this gp.

Looking good for Hamilton.  This is part of the season that gets boring.  We already know who's gonna win both the driver's and constructor's championship.

Notice how the sports media hypes the last couple of races by saying Vettel is 'still mathematically in the championship'.  Pffft, please...  Cheesy

formula one always boring, because every season always dominate one team
in 5 year mecedes dominate, nothing team can compete with mercedes,

I also feel that way, the dominating team in Formula 1 is too great, they are over dominating, the competition is incompetent, but still Formula 1 is becoming the most popular race at the moment. And I'm just wondering why Asian riders are so difficult to participate in Formula 1?
