rlhead: That would probably be easier for the Coinchoose admin to implement than it would for an independent coder like nwoolls. I believe that would be a great metric to see on coinchoose, anyway!

It would be great to somehow find out which coin was most profitable overall. For example, I can quickly find out if it is more profitable, when compared to USD, to sell my SXC coins for Bitcoins or for Litecoins by looking at the top of the official SXC coin pool here http://lavapit.lavajumper.com/index At the top of the page you will see that they have shown how many SXC = 1 USD if converted to Litecoins and how many SXC = 1 USD if converted to Bitcoins.  (This function is actually not working now, pretty sure it is because the Cryptsy API is still messed up from their server migration last night.). It is usually more profitable to sell my SXC for Litecoins then quickly turn around and sell the Litecoins for Bitcoins. It is quite tedious to manually calculate this for each coin though at any given time. At one time I attempted to make an Excel spreadsheet to do this but it was still a pain because I had to manually add in the market price of coins and try to find the most profitable coin at the present time. It seems to me it would be easy to code a function into Multiminer since market prices are updated automatically using APIs. I am a networking and server guy so I may be wrong on this assumption though.  I think using Bitcoins as the base currency would make more sense because it has a market cap over 2 billion USD at the moment. For example, for a few weeks Androids Tokens (ADT) was obviously the most profitable coin overall when compared to Bitcoins. To take advantage of its profitability ratio to Bitcoins I had to mine ADT, sell my ADT to Litecoins, and then quickly sell my Litecoins for Bitcoins.

I was getting the same errors every minute or so on all of my miners. It started when Cryptsy did their server migration tonight. They were down for about an hour during the process. The coins on coinchoose that had Cryptsy as the exchange are no longer listed on the website. I imagine this is what is causing the .net framework errors. I installed the version from the latter post and the errors are not occurring anymore.

Awesome - thanks for confirming!

Thanks. Just double-checking: are you mining coins not on CoinChoose? It looks like that is causing the bug.

Edit: If you are mining coins not on CoinChoose, give this a try: https://www.dropbox.com/s/8q2paqzjnfikl2r/MultiMiner-1.3.43.zip

************** JIT Debugging **************
To enable just-in-time (JIT) debugging, the .config file for this
application or computer (machine.config) must have the
jitDebugging value set in the system.windows.forms section.
The application must also be compiled with debugging

For example:

When JIT debugging is enabled, any unhandled exception
will be sent to the JIT debugger registered on the computer
rather than be handled by this dialog box.

A new prerelease of MultiMiner is now available with the following changes:

  • Added support for specifying a stratum port (in addition to the existing getwork port) for the built in Stratum Proxy (under advanced miner settings)
  • The machine name is now sent with notifications pushed out to MobileMiner
  • Block found notifications are now optional (enabled in the Coins dialog)
  • Added the option to be notified when shares are accepted (enabled in the Coins dialog)

Let me know if you run into any issues. I am working on getting things stable for a 1.4 release (which should also include support for some new hardware).

The world coin difficulty comes as 1.8 hence the 457% profitability, but its difficulty is actually 7.43 as of now, and it said it updated 1 minute ago. Also it never switches from WorldCoin except for 10 mins this morning for florin but according to http://coinchoose.com/ there are ones with more than 457% profitability

WorldCoin is not currently being returned by the CoinChoose API:

http://www.coinchoose.com/api.php?base=BTC

That may be causing issues for you.

Yes they are new coins some on exchanges and some are on their way to.

When you add a new coin configuration a dialog is shown with a list of existing coins. However, you can type whatever you want into that dialog. It doesn't have to be something from the list.

If you type in a coin that does not exist, another dialog will pop up allowing you to enter the exchange symbol for the coin and the type of algorithm.

Hope that helps!  Grin

Are those coins? You can add any coins you want. You don't have to select one of the ones in the drop down.

Is there any way to use a script-jane miner for coins like Lottery Tickets (TIX)?

I've never heard of Scrypt-Jane myself, sounds like something for CPU mining?

MultiMiner uses both cgminer and bfgminer on the backend. If those end up supporting Scrypt-Jane then MultiMiner will too.

Feature request:  Interface with the mine peon, anubis based mining server/web ui ... may require some changes in their stuff as well but interfacing the 2 projects makes you both all that much better.  I'd love to be able to use your mobile miner for instance to update the mine ninja settings and check hash rates etc.

You can do this already. If you use bfgminer as the backend miner and then enable the Stratum Proxy feature under the Advanced backend miner settings:

Then in the MinePeon UI enter the IP for your MultiMiner machine and the port specified in the dialog above.

Your MinePeon (and any other devices you point at the proxy) will show up under the Stratum Proxy device.
