Even though the entire cryptocurrency and none crypto assets on the stock market price are down currently but the level at which my various altcoins portfolio crashed backward baffles me, please can anyone explain for me how the altcoins market works.
That is just how it is, the cryptocurrency market is volatile. Especially all these altcoins; whenever they are about to drop, their drop in price is usually too much.  They are not like Bitcoin which has a really big market cap and can be able to stay a bit stable and not drop too much or lose much value.

So, I am guessing that the altcoins you have selected are losing too much value, and that’s why your portfolio is like that. If you take your time to go through all the coins that you have invested in, and look at how much they have lost in value, you would see that what is being shown on your portfolio is correct. The coins you have selected might not have been that good, that’s why you have to be careful when you are selecting altcoins in the market, make sure that you’re selecting the good ones or from the top of the list.

While we refer them as altcoins the truth is that we are speaking about thousands of coins and each one of them has its own internal dynamics, so if the market in general is stable but the coins that you are holding are going down then there could be several reasons for that, to begin with you could have invested in bad coins so they are going down because no one is interested in them, another reason is simply that maybe the development is too slow and people are tired of waiting, and finally it could just that the demand for the coin is low right now but it will eventually recover.

Haha, you are funny man, there is no other way altcoins market works, your portfolio go down if the price of the altcoin you hold  goes down, and it also goes up if the price of the altcoin you hold go up, the altcoin markets just the same way your bitcoin and other major coin markets work, no difference.
In your case, it seems your choice altcoin went down significantly which in turn affected your portfolio.

During the bear market, altcoins suffer mostly in total percentage that's why experienced players switch to the top coins during the bear phase. Whenever a big dip occurs in the bitcoin usually experienced traders prefer to shift into the Bitcoin instead of Altcoins So Altcoins drops that time and I feel that is the best strategy to make some extra profit by the right decision at the right time. In the past 4 years, I notice Whenever BTC makes a new high and then starts consolidating that time is the best time for altcoins boom.

There is no magic recipe that would predict how the market would go. Even the new coins that are listed hyped for a while and had a good entry while listing and even those coins went down after a few trading days. That is how the market is right now, it is hard to predict how the market would gain momentum, it all depends upon individual projects and how they are planning to attract the investors.

I think the market price depends on the buyer. As the buyer increases, the price of altcoins increases. When the buyer decreases, then the price decreases. There is no existence, When the buyer starts to decrease then the price goes down. As the new coins come in the market their purchases increase. They give some profit.

In my portfolio there were several coins including BTC.
But with the last dump, not all coins fell more than BTC. And in general, this is not always a correct statement that "When  BTC fall, alts fall more". It all depends on the purchase of the token itself and domination BTC on market, etc. For example NEAR and MATIC, have shown themselves excellently recently! They even grew up!

every bear market comes Altcoin percentage decline is much bigger than Bitcoin and when bull market comes also altcoins have a bigger percentage increase I think that's very normal and we are currently in a bear market if you don't believe in the coin you are holding it might be very good to exchange it for Bitcoin.
Those projects play active role despite facing bear season only can fight back during the bull market, yet rest of 90% altcoins have no future means no retun. Thus, Always take your benefits while you can. Secure your position and have a leave plan. Just remember that HODL isn't an exit strategy. Single mistake can turn your initial investment into terrible investment of all time.

calm down friend, you are not alone
the ups and downs of a portfolio (coin) must
it's worth going out and someone coming in.
this position exists and is highly expected by traders. indirectly the price that forms (bullish tokens) is a service for traders' activities. if they are difficult to enter (waiting for a bearish moment) then it is difficult to have interest. I may also wait, don't want to buy at a high price.
we just follow in their midst.. when the bull market? Yes, we can sell even if we only monitor the traders in action. We can see their activities.

but there is some experience with altcoins may be true, in outlining some of his opinions.

Events like this were experienced by many predecessors, in real cryptocurrencies that is what happens when the price of bitcoin goes up, some popular altcoins also go up while other altcoins are normal, when the bull run market occurs the price of altcoins goes up, maybe the altcoins in your portfolio still need it. time to go up again what happens to your coin is very reasonable to go down the market is being corrected after a new ATH is reached.
The entire market percentage works as a system and at any point rolls in the chain dimension and the percentages drag each other, Bitcoin took the lead with its correction mode after each all time will affect another altcoin so if a portfolio falls in percentage it means the coins on your list have dropped in price chat.

It's not only you who experience a decline in assets, almost all altcoin owners experience it, don't worry.
and a little explanation of why your assets are down, because basically altcoins are built on the Bitcoin Blockchain chain so that if bitcoin experiences a decline then atlcoins will go down too,
so as a lesson if the market has shown a decrease in bitcoin worth 20% of the initial price, save your altcoin in usdt or BTC and eth (just my thoughts)

That is the explanation I lean toward bitcoin during bear market. That is the reason assuming the market goes in adjustment, bitcoin rectifies and being essential for it, the most impacted and will have more rate in misfortunes are the altcoins particularly. It's truly difficult to clarify things in crypto market, exactly when you felt that they should move toward this path, it will go on the inverse.

Of course it's natural that if the market goes down, our assets will go down, but I recommend being patient and don't panic because the market will recover soon, the most important thing is that our assets are coins that have a strong reputation such as MATIC, CAKE or those ranked in the top 100, if the market recovers it will be soon profit again.

Well, most coins have been down for over a week now and most portfolios fall back with a higher percentage on coins that are recently pumped as many of them plug down deeply.
But believe in the coming day there will recover as the holiday is getting finished.

You do not have to worry because all people in crypto have the same thing as you. We can use this time to buy back many coins, including bitcoin, to be ready for the next bull run, although we do not know when it will come. We know that when bitcoin is down, it will impact altcoin price to go down and sometimes, the down will be too deep than we can expect. It already happened a long time ago so you do not have to panic or worry.

When correction starts, people get rid of different altcoins first. They are more risky and because of that they are more volatile. Many people who invest in the long-term continue holding different fundamental currencies such as Bitcoin and Ethereum, but they sell off altcoins as it is not understandable if this coins will survive this bear market or will be abandoned.

Altcoins will get dumped one day or other hence there will be no point of planning up long term investments with altcoins. You need to book your targeted profits as soon as you do get. You sound like you got diversified portfolio but you must need typical plans for altcoins which may not be applicable to all other investment types. Moreover, altcoins will grow when bitcoin will be testing its ATH and bitcoin is expected to enter into strong er bullish mode from the beginning of 2022.

If you want to have balanced portfolio which will be in growing stably (at least year wise) then you must include bitcoin in more percentage then all altcoins together. A portfolio which is made up with only altcoins may lose its vale over the time for sure.

Big changes coming. Btc controls the crypto market price. Major companies are pulling out for liquidity. U.S. Govt will be doing the same. I can see prices falling more. Hopefully when the smoke clears everything will come back up and coins will start to break away from btc.
Hold tight and you will enjoy the profit.

The cryptocurrency market develops cyclically. A period of price growth is always followed by a period of decline, which also ends with growth, but at a different level. Of course, you need to take into account the prospects of a specific project, because if a token of a useless project appears on the market, it is unlikely that after a general market fall, it will grow along with all cryptocurrencies.
But the overall development of the market is simultaneously influenced by various external factors, including negative and positive news information, the influence of whales, and others. As a rule, all this is superimposed on each other in time and then it is difficult to understand the movement of the market.
