I understand such things can discourage anyone and sorry for your loss. You can not do anything to get back your ethereum but you should learn the lesson from this incident always use the genuine antivirus in your system so that it can detect any virus instantly if you bymistake clicked any phising link. Keep your private keys at safe place do not keep it in your system. Now create the new eth wallet and do not use the hacked wallet again. So always becareful while clicking any link from unknown sources.

what can I do to stop it
I have no evidence

I guess I download a virus altcoin wallet and the hacker found my private key in my desktop

It's your fault, good wallets are recommended on daily basis here in the forum, it's carelessness on your part to have downloaded an unknown wallet, that was how the hacker accessed your private key, i hope you have leant your lesson there is nothing you can do about it.

Very unfortunate that happens to you be aware the installation of application or the incoming site that uses a very important key. So as to avoid the trap of hackers, if you receive email also be careful of the sender.

You downloaded the wrong wallet with injected malwares thats why it penetrated your system and stole your private keys, may I know what is the name of this wallet? Dont ever download into not trusted websites only use official websites from the developer there are too many viruses and malwares today stealing private keys be safe always.

I'm guessing you're a victim of phising site of myetherwallet be careful next time dont download anything because transcations cant be reverted
phishing is a very common hacking Ethereum wallet , I think you need to install a plugin that protects against phishing sites , it is also better to put in the tab wallet

Very sad. Why have you downloaded that altcoin wallet and what's the name. There's nothing left to do from your side. I request you to create a scam accusation to protect other users.
This is not Bitcoin related. Check here: https://forum.ethereum.org/
This is a shit stupid forum. Users have to submit lots of personal data in order to create an account.

Yet, it is related to ETH. This forum here is a Bitcoin forum. You wouldn't ask for a waffle receipe here either, would you?

There's a lot of hackers that's been hovering around that's why it's important to secure your funds and your private keys somewhere safe I suggest a hardware wallet/physical wallets will do and also you shouldn't just be downloading any software online or wallet without doing a research or study about it. Now you've learned your lesson but we can't help you to track who's behind that hacking.

Huh, happened and happened again. It seems like a scammer has inserted a lot of malware on every internet program, I'm sure you downloaded and opened the wrong wallet so that the scammer can control your computer. So be careful when downloading something on the internet, if what you download is not from an official site or popular site, I have been a victim of malware like you.

And when this happens, we are here no one can help you, I can only give advice so that you are more careful when downloading something on the internet from unknown sites.

It's really sad because the chances of getting your funds back are really low and near that, you can't really have it back again. I suggest you buy another computer where the only thing you can do there is cryptocurrency related stuff. It would be safer and I would also suggest you download MetaMask because it helps a lot with countering these phishing sites.

I think you have let the virus get into your computer. That is the worst. I witnessed a lot of hacks and I decided not to download any strange applications to stop the viruses there.
This is also a lesson for you and you should have your own laptop for work only.

~snip...

What ? You stored your private coin on your desktop ? It could be anyone who borrowed your pc, and copied your private key.
You should store your private key on somewhere safe place other than your desktop. At least somewhere in the deep folder on your computer, not desktop.
If you let others borrow your computer, cause even me I put everything in my PC and just have a back-up copy of them in a case for some emergency or if my PC is damage.  There is no wrong with that, it is all about how we keep it safe from the hand of others and not letting others touch your PC or laptop.

What happens to OP, its gonna be a lesson and learn for him and for everyone. We have that awareness at this forum but sometimes we've got mistaken.

This incident must be a very valuable lesson.
You may not arbitrarily download a wallet application, because it will endanger your assets, hackers will do anything to be able to steal the assets you have.

How could that happen if your keys are still in your device, thats not possible on your "suspected virus wallet" that you downloaded, I think you are using a new wallet and then you just import your private key in that particular wallet, thats why you are hacked. or someone has use your device and uncover your private key lesson to learn stop using untrusted wallet to avoid this hacking incidents.

There is nothing you can do, you can only let your ETH disappear, I can guess that your ETH loss is caused by you clicking the Phishing link on an Email, Telegram or on other social media, I once lost my ETH because I was stuck with duplicate Myetherwallet link (Phishing Link).

Very unfortunate of you, there is nothing you can do on your asset already. Next time you must be aware in that matter, its a lesson learn for you to be careful. And how did the scammer took your private key in your desktop ?

Tip: Next time save your private key in your gmail or email address to be secure.
Email address is an unsafe solution and should not use the private key to log in because it would be risky for your property. When you create a new ETH account, there will be many options for you and you should only use Keystore to ensure the best assets because very few people are attacked in this way. It's best to follow my way because keeping the private key is never safe in this market
