They will use USPS to ship to china? how much that costs?
About $80 so BFL will probably charge $88

I got BFL's inform mail that my order was shipped. But I cannot find any tracking information on USPS's website.

There was another case of an email inadvertently sent to SgtSpike notifying him that his order had shipped. BFL later informed him the email was in error.
This was discussed about a dozen posts earlier in this thread. It may be that more than one erroneous email went out.
What a shit! I will keep tracking the status.
But my status is a little different that I asked BFL to correct my contact phone# before. And 1 day before I received the inform mail, I got mail from BFL Jody said my phone# is corrected and my order is ready to ship.
Do you think in this case they still made mistake?

Hard to say.
Check the USPS again tomorrow and if they still don't have it, try contacting BFL.
Got your suggestion. I will update the status in this thread.
I just checked USPS. The tracking information shows the package left KANSAS CITY.

Most every Jalapeno order through July 3 went out today. I can't say every order, because stuff happens. It is a lot more fun to ship than not.

And like the Jalapenos, I will post when the other products start shipping. If I don't mention them--they aren't shipping.

I think we fixed the bug that made your orders disappear when they went to production.

Thank you for the kind words; all others I ignore.

Just to clarify, that's orders thru June of 2012.

Which means orders through September of 2012 should ship sometime around March of 2014.

Yep, perfectly reasonable shipping schedule.   Roll Eyes

So, you got a USPS tracking number, but it's not showing up in the USPS system yet? As somebody who ships hundreds of packages a year through USPS, I wouldn't count on that too much. I've had orders that deliver before USPS gets around to updating the status. If you have a bonafide tracking number, it's almost certainly shipped, or at least has had a shipping label generated for it.

You still have nothing eh?

What exactly do you have? To be so defensive of this guy who shouts his mouth off and tells people to FO when he doesn't like what they say?

I have thousands of angry BFL customers.
I have BFL who admits they purposefully insult and denigrate the Bitcoin community because they believe it inflates their pre-orders with noobs.
I have alternatives to BFL mining products that have similar or better bang for the buck.
What else do I need? Popcorn.

BTW, you should bump the other two BFL threads that fell off the front page too. Otherwise it might look like BFL has become irrelevant to the Bitcoin mining scene.

The Custom Hardware forum is awash in a sea of ASICMiner and Avalon threads...

Yep BFL is irrelevant, a few months from now companies will be shipping 175-500GH/sec units, while BFL still struggles to ship Jalapenos. I got my popcorn for when Josh ends up in jail.

(Josh in the Shoutbox)

So no shipment.

Nope, you can hang on to your smug smile for a while longer...

BFL already put a ton of cash into my pocket by siphoning off millions of dollars that would have been spent on raising the network hash rate. I get to keep my smug little smile forever.  Cheesy

Now that the Avalon and ASICMiner waves are here, it does't really matter what BFL promises anymore. Even if BFL ships 50 Jala's every single day (unlikely), that is only 1.25TH a week which isn't enough to move the difficulty needle anymore now that there is 100TH currently and another 100TH due in the next 2 months. BFL failed to capitalize while Avalon and ASICMiner continue to deliver the hash rate.

You sound just like PuertoLibre - are you it?

You still have nothing eh?
Do your best to keep these last couple of BFL threads on the front page so people who Google Butterfly Labs can see what the bitcoin community thinks of them.
Un-ignored out of curiosity, and indeed, ignored was better. Bitcoin community? Do you call the rant-o-rama club including yourself, Smoothie, Puertolibre and Frizz23 and his pile of accounts the bitcoin community? The anti bfl-squad posts are even attracting customers to BFL, you must be doing something wrong.

You should put me back on ignore. You BFL folks do much better while ignoring the rest of the world and patting each other on the backs.
I call the Bitcoin community those which seem to have embraced ASICMiner and Avalon chip offerings. They organize group buys of chips together and design PCBs to accommodate them. BFL however has lost all traction, their latest attempt at squeezing out more revenue was soundly ridiculed here. Even John K was loathe to act as an escrow for the terms BFL was offering.

I know I know, it is all a great conspiracy by the mods of bitcointalk and the Illuminati, so put us back on ignore and enjoy your echo chamber.

Out of curiosity, like what? I'm legitimately curious.

From what I've seen, all of the stuff that's readily available has a break-even point of about four months. Then there's the pre-order vaporware like BFL, KNC, etc. who have a much, much better "bang for the buck" as you put it. Then there's the group-buy chip scene, but nobody putting them together yet. So I'm curious which alternatives there are that are readily available and have a better break-even point than four months?

delivering a product 1 year after u paid for it is ok and just fine with u ?
I am not stupid enough to pre-order a product that I haven't seen at least a prototype demonstrated or reviewed. I am interested in a klondike board but I will not place and order until I see a working prototype tested and reviewed, same goes for BFL.

Good to see several being prepped for shipping.  Let's hope this becomes a daily thing and ramps up.

Even though it only shows the 5GH/s cases on flat surfaces, each one is potentially a case with a fan in it, and that's the main thing, it also shows that BFL is making photographs of product, instead of just shipping product. Thus exposing the shill claims of trolls here as massively over optimistic.

FTFY.

BFL customers have already been screwed. The only metric that matters now is if BFL can actually contribute a meaningful amount to the network hash rate. If they cannot, then the slice of the pie their customers can capture is too small to matter.
As for BFL actually shipping in bulk, I will believe it when I see that their backlog is not 90 days (+ 2 weeks ad infinitum) long

Judging from BFL's record of inaccurate statements, I think anyone dealing with them should take a 'believe it when I see it' approach when considering the company. I mean it's all well and good for a Jalapeno to ship, but if you look at the bigger picture, they still haven't shipped .5% of a product that people already paid for almost a year ago.

I'm happy for anyone who finally got their units. But I think it's a bit premature to see the sub 50 units (I guess) as a big success that should alleviate any fears or encourage more pre-orders.

For every one jalapeno that has been shipped there are what, 5,000 units not shipped? At least a 1000 customers who haven't received a product for every one that has.  That's a complete guess, don't care enough to get the exact numbers, but it has to be somewhere around there.

Does anyone know how much a Jalapeno, if received right now, would earn a day in dollars? Just curious.

Accounting for downtime, pool fees and difficulty increases, around $24 a day for a total of $1500

People are naturally excited when their Jalapeno ships and can't wait to burst onto Bitcointalk and say it.  After almost a year of waiting and many months where some customers have lost all hope of receiving what they paid for it's okay for them to be jumping with joy.  Now, hopefully we'll have one thread for each device category and people can post their shipping and receiving dates there, with links back to http://bfl.ptz.ro/

I wonder how long they will last for the end user if they tested them a little too long. I guess it doesn't matter because I'm sure they have a great return policy. I hear it's the same policy as Best Buy. lol

Return policy sucks, but the warranty is great!  It's 1 year!*

I wonder how long they will last for the end user if they tested them a little too long. I guess it doesn't matter because I'm sure they have a great return policy. I hear it's the same policy as Best Buy. lol

Two large threads only, sure.

A single thread for trolls to crap about BFL would be useful also, to contain the shit they spew in one single point.
So you know, don't step on it.

If you can find other 10+ page threads about BFL in the last month, please post the link to them here. I looked but did not find any.
Most of the large threads in this forum are about Avalon and ASICMiner.

You misunderstood me, trolls are all over this place waiting for an opportunity to crawl out of their holes.
Basically every large or small thread where BFL word is mentioned is covered in troll stench eventually.

Why should I search for troll crap? Like I said, I don't want to step on it.

...much rubbish removed...

Having a single thread where all confirmed Jalapeno arrivals can be posted & tracked would be useful.

For the benefit of the thread I need to point out that k9quaint doesn't want others to have an asic and he's really disappointed bfl are delivering now... he's well known for it.

I like how nottm28 has to follow me around removing my quotes so people won't read the links that I posted. I presume since he removed them, they hit a nerve so I will post them here:
Since April 1st there are 9 "a user has jalapeno in hand" threads that I found with a quick search over the last 15 pages of this forum.

BFL has been the greatest gift to miners, they tied up capital that otherwise would have been used to deploy actual mining equipment. Their contributions to the network hash rate have been less than 1TH/s which is not relevant to people mining. Anyone who wants an ASIC can get one from ASICMiner or Avalon.

If they generate that much now. Why wouldn't BFL just keep them and "test them" for a few months before they ship? That would make them a lot more money than they will ever make selling them?

A better business model in the long term would be to sell miners rather than mine with them - look at friedcat..

Thank you for your order from Butterfly Labs! Your order (#2243) was shipped via USPS, USPS Priority Mail on 6/1/2013.  You can track your package at any time using the link below.

Did you get paid to post this? Why did you do it? Why create a new topic instead of using some existing one?

Yes, many people pay people to post about orders here...  Roll Eyes Roll Eyes Roll Eyes Roll Eyes

Then what's the use of a new thread? Just create a thread "I got my Jalapeno" and all can post there. There is no need to always create a new thread for everyone that gets theirs.

Uh... Am I missing something? That's EXACTLY what he did. So your beef is now with the verbiage of the thread title?

I'm telling you guys. We really need an IQ test, in addition to the existing n00b cage. Some people are just too stupid to be allowed on the internet, unsupervised.  Roll Eyes

I meant a global thread and there is one already: https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/who-all-has-received-jalapenos-189419

Look there is another bigger one: https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/received-bfl-jalapeno-today-191058 or maybe this: https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/who-all-has-received-jalapenos-189419

Creating a new thread for every received jalapeno smells like PR from retard Inaba/BFL who didn't pay their charity bet.

And yes i admit that the "I got my Jalapeno" name for the thread was a bit wrong, but the idea stays the same.

Hopefully, BFL can graduate to the point where there is one thread with people posting they received their orders.
Unfortunately, it is still news when someone spots a BFL unit in the wild. Thus, I suspect the new thread created.

Well, that's odd...
So when some happy guy opens a thread to mention a received product form BFL, that's wrong, because you know...you have to use an existing one.

But when countless threads about BFL where the same trolls post the same shit over and over again appear one after the other, well, that is OK because trolls don't need to graduate.
